'Hide!' Suddenly hearing the warning from the sword, Yuan Ming snapped out of his reverie, moved behind the wall he was peeking from, and held his breath before activating his stealth technique by habit.

He could feel the sound of the footsteps on the lowest floor from the place he stood. After a while, the footsteps he was hearing stopped echoing.

'Just who is on the other side?' Feeling his body tensing, Yuan Ming thought in fear, trying his best to maintain his disguise.
"How is the preparation for moving coming?" Hearing the familiar voice, fear gripped Yuan Ming's heart. 'It's her!!!'
He scread in his heart, rembering the woman who managed to defeat their elder and bring them to this place.
"Everything is going at the desired speed, Captain." He heard another voice; from the voice, it seed to be of a man.
"Hmm~ As soon as everyone is converted to our side, send the signal. I will return to the sect and follow my part." The woman spoke once more before her voice turned serious, "Make sure there are not any mistakes or you all will face the general's wrath!"
'General?' Yuan Ming thought with a frown on his face. 'Who could be the person to make a woman like her obey him?'

Yuan Ming snapped out of his daze when he heard the sounds of the footsteps disappearing in the hallway along with the feeling of dread they brought along with them.
'Maybe soone who is controlling that woman? But one thing is true, that person should be more powerful than her.' Yuan Ming was once again shocked by the sudden sound in his head.
'What now?' Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Yuan Ming asked the sword for further instructions.
'Just ahead is a way to go to the lower levels; you have to reach the lowest floor first.'
'You don't an the sa level that woman is lurking on?!!' Yuan Ming asked in fear before shaking his head. 'There is no way I am going down. That is purely suicidal!'
'You don't have anything to fear. Didn't you hear what the woman said?' The sword calmly shifted Yuan Ming's attention to stop him from panicking. 'She already left the place, and there is no one as powerful as her in this base.'
Yuan Ming's eyes shone; he moved and peeked from the wall once more and saw the guards calmly patrolling the floors, and there was no sign of the woman who kidnapped them.
'There is no ti to waste; hurry up!' The sword insisted, giving Yuan Ming the last push with his words, 'Don't you want to save those people? This is the ti. Hurry up.'

Yuan Ming gritted his teeth and rushed forward silently, walking his way toward the stairs. As he walked past several open caves, he noticed piles and piles of bodies inside them just like the one he woke up in.

Soon he arrived at the staircase at the end of the floor and slowly made his way down it stealthily.
'Hide!' Hearing the warning of the sword, Yuan Ming ducked and pressed himself against the railings of stone.

He peeked through the cracks of the sword and watched a guard walking up to the staircase and stopping in front of him.

He feared that the guard might suddenly co in his direction and discover him by accident.
But his luck did not seem to leave him just yet as the man turned around and walked back in the direction he ca from.
'This is really taxing.' Making haste, Yuan Ming walked down the stairs and peeked from the wall, watching the guard walking in the direction where two more guards were patrolling the area.

Finding the perfect opportunity when none of them were looking in their direction, Yuan Ming rushed to the lower floor before they could look back again.

Yuan Ming found himself on the lowest floor where the heat was the most intense of all the floors.

He watched as lava around the rocks excluded dark mist into the air. He covered his nose on instinct, seeing the black mist.
'Good call. You have to keep your nose covered while making it across the floor onto the other side.' Yuan Ming nodded pulled a piece of cloth from his storage ring and covered his face with it.
'Wait, what do you an to cross this floor? I will be discovered if I do sothing like that, don't you see those people?' Yuan Ming asked hastily, looking at two people guarding the path on the other side of the room.
'There is no other way to reach the place I want you to go.' The Sword replied nonchalantly before adding, 'The higher the risk, the greater the reward.'
Yuan Ming gritted his teeth in frustration before nodding.
'Don't worry, with my guidance, you can reach that place safely.' Yuan Ming did not have the slightest confidence in the proud voice he was hearing in his mind.
'Do you see that pillar on the right side? You have to rush to that pillar when I tell you to.' Yuan Ming turned his head and saw a pillar made of rocks connected to the upper floor.
The pillar was thick enough to hide his figure behind it. The way it was placed was perfect to hide from the guards on the left side of the room, but the problem was timing.
