Ruo'er almost jumped, seeing Xin Yan appear out of nowhere had scared her a little. But what scared her more was the intense look in Xin Yan's eyes that told her this was not a matter she should get involved in.
Gulping down her saliva, she prayed for the person who was going to suffer her wrath.

"Let's talk inside. We have a lot to discuss. Did Wuhan co back?" Before Xin Yan could ask anything, Noah interrupted her with a serious look on his face.
Xin Yan looked him in the eyes for a while before nodding, "Wuhan has yet to return. He should be making preparations for the clean-up." Her eyes returned to normal, but there was a hint of coldness in them.

After unloading the ship, Noah entered the sect alone. The four mbers he went to save were moving behind him on their own.
Xin Yan glanced at Noah as she led him inside the sect. Seeing her grandfather standing at the gate, Ruo'er rushed towards him.

"So you are saying, you couldn't save the little girl?" Ming Ye frowned a little, glancing at Song Liu lying unconscious on the floor. Noah had explained everything that happened in that place to both of them.
"Grandpa, she was like that when we reached that place. There is nothing we could have done." Ruo'er spoke up before Noah could even reply.
Her interruption surprised both Noah and Ming Ye, but a small smile appeared on Xin Yan's face.
"I want to be the one who tells this news to Wuhan. That is why I will visit the capital and talk to him when the ti is right." Noah exhaled loudly before speaking with determination.
"He might not think rationally about it." Ming Ye warned. He stroked his beard while looking at Noah. "Can you make sure he doesn't do anything irrational?"
"I know he will do sothing irrational; no one can stop that. No one can babysit him all the ti, but I will be there for him when he needs ." Noah replied while looking at Song Liu, Shisan, Tian Heng, and Yuan Ming lying on the floor in front of him.
"Didn't you say that the curse takes ti and you can save them in that ti? How did she get cursed so quickly?" Xin Yan raised her own doubts.
"I…" Noah looked at Song Liu and shook his head, "I have no idea. She would have needed a day or two more before she was brainwashed, but it seems there are other things that we don't know about yet."
"Song Family won't be happy about this." Ming Ye suddenly sighed, causing everyone to look at him.
"You know about her family, Grandpa?"
"If she is from the sa family I have heard about, then yeah." Ming Ye nodded slightly. "They are one of the hidden families that are from that side."
"That side?" she asked curiously, looking at her grandfather.
"You don't have to worry about that." Ming Ye shook his head, unwilling to tell Ruo'er anything about what he knew. "All you have to know is that I don't know much about them. If she is the direct descendant of the clan, things won't be settled calmly."
Noah could see Ming Ye looking in his direction when he said the last line.
"But seeing that her guard is only a golden core realm, she should not be that important."
"Only a golden core?" Ruo'er's shock was not hidden in her voice.
"Everyone has their own standards. To the hidden families like that, golden core realm people are like the outer sect elders." Ming Ye shook his head in dejection while explaining the workings of the world.
Noah looked at Shisan, his eyes shifting to the other girl lying beside her.
"There is a solitary confinent room in the basent. I will keep her sealed there until I bring Wuhan back and decide what he wants to do with her." Noah walked up to Song Liu and picked her up in his arms.
No one objected to his words and watched him walk out of the room.
"Can she never go back to the way she was?" Ruo'er asked one more ti. "I just cannot believe that just a single curse could decide the fate of soone like that."
"That poor girl has two." Xin Yan sighed heavily, her eyes still looking at the door Noah walked out of.
"What?" Her words shocked both Ming Ye and Ruo'er.
Xin Yan looked back and shook her head without saying anything.

As Noah walked down a stair made of stones, the fire in the stairway flickered as the sound of his breath made the air in the room move.
Arriving at the basent, the first thing Noah saw was an array of cells. All of them had the sa equipnt and the sa appearance.
Choosing one of them, Noah walked inside the room.
"There is no need to pretend if you are awake." Noah calmly placed Song Liu on the ground and walked up to the chains hanging on the wall.
As soon as he turned his back to the girl, she opened her eyes. Noah did not have to look her in the eyes to feel the coldness in them.
She stayed there on the ground without moving an inch from her spot. It was not that she did not want to move but instead… she could not.
The mont she tried to move, sothing illusory would suppress her. It was like she was trapped in an illusionary cage from all directions.
Noah did not pay any attention to her attempts and unlocked the cuffs on the chains. Turning around, he placed them on Song Liu's wrists, binding her against the wall.
Just as the cuffs were slapped on her wrists, all of the qi and strength in her vanished without any trace.
"Why did things have to turn so complicated?" Noah let out a strained sigh looking at the girl. Shaking his head, he turned around and walked out of the cage.
