"You did it, big brother~ or should I call you big leader~"
Behind the mask, Noah looked at the woman with a deadpan gaze as he could feel her rubbing herself against him. But he did not have to do anything to stop her; Ming Ming stopped herself only to tremble like a thin leaf.
Noah smiled warmly, knowing the reason for her reaction. He gently pushed himself up, supporting her as he did so, and looked around at the cheering crowd. The sound was deafening, but in a good way—it was the sound of victory, of recognition for their hard-fought battle.
"Thank you, Ming Ming," he said softly, his voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd. "We did it together."
Ming Ming stopped trembling hearing his voice and grinned wildly to hide the look of fear in her eyes. 'What was that?'
She thought, still recalling the feeling that vanished the mont she moved away from Noah. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, she brushed off the dirt and dust from his clothes. "You were amazing out there, big brother. I knew you could do it."
She tried to act like nothing happened while ignoring the sharp glare she was receiving from Zhong Hua. At the sa ti, Noah could also feel so jealousy and envy from the eyes of the onlookers.
As they stood there, basking in the mont, the other mbers of their team joined them, their faces lit up with relief and happiness. Zhong Hua, despite her usual stoic deanor, couldn't hide the pride in her eyes as she approached Noah.
"You really pulled through," she said, giving him a nod of respect. "I didn't think we would make it, but you proved wrong."

Recalling the 'death' they had just experienced, the three of them excluding Noah trembled at the sa ti.
"The person who made this trial must be a sick bastard." Han Lu, who had also gained a newfound respect for Noah, could not help but comnt with a dark look on his face, and the two girls beside them seed to agree with his words.
"It's rude to call soone a sick bastard, isn't it?" Just then, a voice interrupted their reunion. Turning around, they saw the referee, who was also the comntator of the match, walking towards them with a smile on his face.
Seeing the smile but not-so-smiling look on his face, they got the answer to 'Who was the sick bastard who made this test?'
"Ahem, we greet the respected senior!" Han Lu, with a shaless look on his face, bowed to the man with his hands cupped. 'Who would want to go against such a sick bastard?'
Ignoring the boy, the man moved past him and looked at Noah from head to toe. His actions caused the two girls beside Noah to narrow their eyes.
The man ignored their gaze and suddenly smiled, his eyes flashing with an unknown light, "This is the first ti soone managed to clear the third wave of this test. Even the most talented soldiers from our empire find it impossible to clear that wave."
"Is it that difficult?" It was Zhong Hua who asked with an incredulous look in her eyes.
"It is as the announcer said." Everyone looked at the person who replied to her question and imdiately bowed at once.
"We greet His Majesty!"
Wuhan flew down along with the four heads of the major families.
"Even though our soldiers are talented, they cannot clear the last stage as the last stage needs not just imnse training but also ticulous planning." After nodding at their greeting, Wuhan continued to explain.
Seeing the look of astonishnt on their faces, Wuhan smiled before signaling to the man standing beside Noah.
Receiving the signal with a nod, the announcer's voice bood over the loudspeakers, calling for attention. "Ladies and gentlen, let's give another round of applause for the victorious Team 69!"
The crowd erupted once more, and Noah's team felt a surge of pride and accomplishnt.
But amidst the celebration, Noah felt a dark gaze on him. Turning around, he saw Long Xiang looking at him as if he could burn him alive with his gaze. Noah raised his head in provocation before looking away.
Long Xiang, seeing his arrogant response, clenched his hands into fists. 'Just you wait, now that you have survived this match, no one can save you from ! I will make sure you die at my hands!'
"We ca here to personally congratulate the team that managed to clear this test." Wuhan coughed to get their attention on him, and it worked. Seeing their confused gazes, he added, "When this test was set, we decided to award the leader of the team who cleared it with the position of captain despite their cultivation. While the other team mbers are to be rewarded as well."
The heads of four families moved beside Wuhan to curry favor with Noah's team. Zhong Hua was directly hugged by her father, who was brimming with happiness.

Noah turned to look at Wuhan and asked, "Your Majesty, was the third wave the last wave?"
Ever since he finished the test, this question had been on his mind, so Noah decided to ask this himself. Others who heard his question also got intrigued, hearing his words.
Even though they felt that it was not possible for there to be a fourth wave, they wanted Wuhan to confirm it for them.
Fortunately, they all sighed in relief when they heard his next words, "Indeed, it was the last wave. Not many can even reach the third, let alone clear it. So what's your response?"
Hearing his words, Noah understood he was talking about him joining the army. It was sothing he had to answer because of the presence of the four family heads.
"I am honored to have this opportunity, but I would have to decline as it would interfere with my duties to my sect."
"Oh, you are a mber of a sect? Which sect might that be?" Wuhan pretended to be confused. Everyone who heard him reject the emperor frowned because it was an opportunity that was almost impossible to reject.
But after hearing his explanation, they nodded in understanding. After all, the mbers of sects had many restrictions and could not move freely.
Noah rolled his eyes inwardly at his acting before replying, "It's the Benevolent Guardian Sect."
Wuhan nodded in understanding while the others appeared to be confused as they had never heard of this sect. They wondered if it was a reclusive sect considering they managed to recruit soone like Noah.
To stop the others from asking many questions, Wuhan changed the topic, "Since that's the case, I won't force you, but my offer will always stand for you if you want to join." Saying this, Wuhan handed a token to Noah. "You can use this to join the army whenever you want."
Although many people were jealous of Noah, they dared not to say anything before the emperor and decided to defeat him in future battles and prove that they were better than him.
Wuhan turned around and announced, "Now that we have finalized the top 25 teams or, more clearly, the top 100 participants, we can move to the next segnt of the test."
Everyone got excited as they couldn't wait for the next match to start, but his next words poured cold water over their expectations.
"But that won't be happening till tomorrow."
Saying that Wuhan turned around to leave with the heads of the families, leaving a very dissatisfied audience.
Seeing this, the announcer decided to step in and clear everything with his signature smile, "These participants have been through a lot and need so rest to recover their ntal strength. So we will reveal the contents of the next test tomorrow."
Zhong Hua and Han Lu both smiled, nodding in agreent. "Definitely."
Everyone who had just faced death had no energy left in them to appear cheerful, but they looked at the man they called a demon before with a grateful expression. "We deserve it."
"But don't worry, once they have recovered, I will make sure the next test will be even more entertaining than today's." Hearing the man continue with those words, all the good feelings they had towards him vanished instantly.
Having no strength and will to argue with the man, they simply left the place without even giving a second glance.
