"…Why?" It was only after a while that Long Xiang spoke in a hoarse voice.
"Why what?"
"Why bear all the pain? Why go through all the misery if you were this powerful from the start? You could have left with Long Tian." After going through so many things, Long Xiang started to think calmly.

As much as he wanted to cling to the false hope, it shattered like the world around him. Long Xiang despaired, watching cracks fill the world before it shattered into nothingness.
Standing in the air, he found his illusionary body returning to a familiar place.

Long Xiang's consciousness faltered as he heard her next words.

Noah smiled with satisfaction, seeing Xin Yan take pleasure in pushing the man deeper into despair. 'She wants to use the truth of her identity to tell him how he missed the heavenly treasure that had been by his side all along when he was looking for trinkets outside.'
"You… you are an… Immortal?" Long Xiang gulped down his regrets as he looked at Xin Yan in confusion.
"What? Are you regretting what you did to in the past?"
"You!! No! There is no way that's true." He tried to deny it, not willing to accept that such an opportunity had always been by his side. "If you had truly been an immortal, you could have given better techniques and resources while you were…"
Seeing the man pause, Xin Yan's lips curled up in disgust. "While I was what?… in love with you? *Snort*. I don't really care whether you believe or not; I am just answering your question." Shrugging off his denial, she continued, "As for your techniques, I gave you the best one I had for your attributes, which is far more powerful than anything you could ever find in this mortal world."

Xin Yan smiled slightly at the slight roar of thunder that echoed in the Soul Realm at her words.
Long Xiang did not seem to care about the presence of thunder in his Soul Realm. After seeing her nonchalant behavior, he could not help but feel that what she had said might be true.
"The reason I always stayed hidden was to protect my son." Her tone once more beca hollow and colder as she stared at the person she once thought she could rely on. "It was because of you that he is no longer with and also the reason you are suffering today."
"Noah, I might not be able to control myself if this continues on…" Xin Yan closed her eyes, which had turned vertical, before turning around.
"Wai…" Long Xiang tried to stop Xin Yan, but when he saw the smile on Noah's face change from a warm one to a gentle one as he moved towards him, no voice ca from his mouth.
Even though the smile on his face was gentle, his eyes were fixed on him like a hawk watching its prey.
Xin Yan did not leave the Soul Realm as she wanted to see what Noah was planning to do with him.
"Now that everything is clear, shall we address so important issues here?" With the sa smile, Noah continued, "As 'my' Xin Yan ntioned, I once asked her if she would be willing to let kill you myself. She agreed without hesitation. She is just that generous~"
Long Xiang trembled when Noah's voice got deeper, especially when he emphasized Xin Yan belonging to him. Xin Yan, on the other hand, smiled like a fool hearing the possessive tone in his voice.

She looked down to see the illusionary blood still on her hands and narrowed her eyes. With a swift and precise move, she chopped the hand off without any change in her expression.
The chopped hand dispersed into nothingness before a new hand grew in its stead.
'Better!' Seeing her new, untainted hand, Xin Yan glead with pride before looking back at Noah.
"Just kill then! There is nothing left for to do anyway." Long Xiang looked at Noah with a dead look in his eyes. After everything he had been through, he lost the will to live, knowing that no matter what he did, he could not win against the two of them.
If they were really the legendary immortals, no one in the world could do anything to them.
Clearly, he misunderstood what Xin Yan told him, but no one was willing to clear his doubt.
"Now now~ why are you so eager to die? Isn't it good to be alive?" Noah teased, seeing him give up on life.
