Ever since Long Xiang found himself trapped in his own body, he felt like a prisoner, forced to watch as his body moved like a puppet under soone else's control. Although he witnessed himself basking in glory, surrounded by admirers and honored by the Soaring Heaven Sect, he could not feel any happiness.
The sensation of being trapped, unable to touch, feel, sll, or eat anything, began to make him feel numb.
He was scared. What once seed like a minor inconvenience grew into a torturous nightmare as ti passed.
He couldn't interact with the world around him, only watch from a distance as his life unfolded like a scene in a play.
This is a dream!
That's what he kept telling himself, believing that he would wake up eventually.
At first, Long Xiang was in denial. He thought there must be so way to escape this illusion, to break free from whatever held him captive in his own mind.
He tried everything he could think of—concentrating with all his might to break the illusion, screaming in his mind, willing his body to move—but nothing worked. He was a spectator in his own life, powerless to change the outco.
When Long Xiang realized there was nothing he could do to escape, despair set in. Days turned into weeks, and the sensation of being trapped with no way out gnawed at his sanity.
However, the ability to see the outside world—however distantly—was the one thing that kept him from completely losing his mind.
If he had been left alone with his thoughts in total darkness, he knew he would have gone mad. But this small window to reality, even if it was distorted and unreachable, was a lifeline he clung to desperately.
*What is this? Why does this lake give a terrible feeling?* Long Xiang thought as he watched his body walk closer to a lake in the forbidden forest. It was the sa feeling he got when he first saw the straw hat stranger lurking in his shadows.
But he could only pray that nothing happened to his body.
During these years, he realized sothing. No matter what the body felt, be it pain or pleasure, he felt none of that. So even if his body was stabbed, he remained unaffected.
He did not know what might happen when the body dies, and he did not want to find out.
Just as Long Xiang's body entered the lake, the consciousness trapped inside his body trembled.
"What's happening?!" Long Xiang muttered in disbelief as he felt sothing. His eyes widened upon hearing his own voice. As he blinked in disbelief, Long Xiang found that he was no longer trapped in the body but was finally rged with it.
Feeling the water touching his lips, Long Xiang's eyes moistened.
His nightmare finally ended!
But when he tried to move, he realized sothing… the nightmare did not end, it just began!

Before Long Xiang could think further, he felt sothing taking hold over his body.
"Young master, forgive !!" Long Xiang, who heard the familiar voice of the vice leader of the gang, was puzzled. Soon his face drained of all color as he felt a sharp pain shoot through his body.
Pain!
He was feeling sothing after years of numbness!
Despite his expression, Long Xiang weirdly felt happy when he felt the sensation returning to his body.
But when he felt where the pain was coming from, Long Xiang's mind went blank before he roared in rage.
"You bastard!!! How dare you!!" He could only scream as his body failed to move.
Rustle!!
Affected by the drugs in the water, the whole gang did not hear the rustling of the bushes nearby. But Long Xiang, whose mind was clearer than an aged buddha, heard it clearly.
His mind went blank when he saw a familiar figure walking toward them with his perception.

*I'll kill them…* Long Xiang thought, his hatred boiling over into a fury that filled his very being. *Whoever is behind this, I'll kill them… if it's the last thing I do!*
But no matter how much he scread or cursed in his mind, they couldn't hear him. As for speaking out loud, his mouth was long sealed.
The horrifying scene continued, and Long Xiang's mind crumbled in despair. He did not even notice that he had regained control over his body; he just lay in the lake like a lifeless corpse.
He no longer had any hopes for revenge; he just wanted the nightmare to end. He wanted to die!
Soon, everything around him started to crack like a mirror as Long Xiang felt his consciousness slipping into darkness.
Not that he cared.

And then, with another snap of Noah's fingers, the world around Long Xiang began to shift again. The seal around his consciousness started to rotate once more, locking him into another nightmarish reality.
The screen before Noah and Xin Yan flickered, showing the next scene in Long Xiang's illusionary tornt. Xin Yan's eyes sparkled with dark satisfaction, while Noah smiled and tightened his grip around her.
"Let's see how long he lasts this ti," Xin Yan whispered, her voice laced with cruel delight.
Noah nodded, his eyes never leaving the screen. "Indeed. Let the ga continue."
