Wei Rui's eyes widened in disbelief as she watched the flas, ant to incinerate her enemies, falter and turn to ice. The ice moved along with the fla and reached the dragon head, freezing it whole.

The dragon head, once nacing and powerful, began to crack, its fiery form struggling against the encroaching frost!
Biting her lips behind the mask, her eyes shimring with determination. The power behind that attack was supposed to be unstoppable, but here it was, being effortlessly countered by this seemingly gentle woman.
Xin Yan's expression remained calm, almost serene, as she raised her hand toward the dragon head.

With a single decisive motion, she clenched her fist, and the frozen flas shattered into countless shards, dispersing harmlessly into the wind.
"What else do you have?" she asked, looking down at Wei Rui as her previous gentle smile graced her face.
'Is this the extent of the power she can use for now?' Noah wondered as he looked at Xin Yan's back. Even though she was using the formidable power of laws, Noah knew she was being constrained by her own powers that were sealed.
There was only so much she could do with her cultivation base sealed. 'I have to find a way to deal with her problem. I don't want her to be constrained all her life.'
Noah's eyes flashed with a hint of worry as he thought of how Xin Yan's powers were being chained.
Before he could think much, Noah felt warmth invading his hands, he turned his head to see Elysia smiling at him warmly.
The smile ca like a swift breeze washing away all his worries along with it. 'We will be fine as long as we are together, I will find sothing to help her.'
Noah smiled back at the woman with the sa intensity and entangled his fingers with hers, tightening his hold on her hand.
While the atmosphere between them was turning warm, Xin Yan's lips twitched as she could feel their interaction but tried to keep a gentle smile on her face. 'I will deal with you when we get back.' Thinking about how she would deal with Elysia, she turned her focus towards the woman before her.
Wei Rui did not move from her position and looked back at Xin Yan, her expression unreadable because of the cloth covering her face.
"No... This can't be!" Wei Rui muttered, her voice laced with panic. Her voice was so low that it did not reach Xin Yan but Noah and Elysia could hear it because of their high soul perception.
The cloth mask before her face glowed for a while before returning to normal.
Even though she could not hear what the woman said, Xin Yan knew what she was trying to do after having faced many people from the cult.
She was clearly trying to use the power of their cloth mask to control Xin Yan, but seeing that the most omnipotent attack of their cult was not working on the woman before her gave Wei Rui a deep sense of shock.
Her heart turned cold as she understood the implications of what that ant for her cult. 'How is that possible? Soone managed to block the sure-hit attack from the mask. Did it fail because of my low cultivation? That has to be the reason.'
Wei Rui's shock did not last long as she made up her mind. Looking down at her hands, she thought, 'I can only do that now.'
"I have to say, I misjudged the level of threat a re unknown sect posed." Finally, after so ti, Wei Rui broke the silence and spoke coldly while lowering the hand before her mouth. "Who could have thought that a sect like yours would co out of nowhere and try to disrupt the plans of our lord."
She walked towards Xin Yan and Noah as if she had given up all resistance. Xin Yan and Noah, being veterans, did not lower their guards before the woman. At the sa ti, she also looked at Noah, wondering if the boy could be controlled, but the mask on his face made it a little difficult for her to do so.
"Is your sect full of powerhouses like you?" Wei Rui asked Xin Yan, her voice filled with curiosity while subtly moving her hands. That did not go unnoticed by the other two, who pretended that they did not see it.
"You won't be getting any information from ." Xin Yan chuckled warmly as she replied back. Her words did not cause any change in Wei Rui's actions as if she had anticipated them.
"Indeed, I knew I could not get any information from you two." She lowered her head before sighing. Then, suddenly raising her head, she said, "But don't think you can get anything out of as well. I will not let anything or anyone get in the way of our lord's plan!!"

Noah did not imdiately reply and kept looking at Wei Rui. Her life was slowly slipping out of her body. The cloth before her face fluttered as the ferocious look on her beautiful face ca before their eyes.
