The only reason Noah did not kill him was because he ford a plan to use the guy to enter the city lord's mansion and talk with the lord himself face to face about the problem in the city.
Gu Ren suddenly felt the injuries on his body healing on their own, only to the point that it allowed him to walk normally but not fully.
The cuts remained visible, but the blood had stopped coming out. The only thing he felt was a phantom stabbing pain from the wounds, but he forced himself to walk, feeling Xin Yan's cold gaze watching his every move.
"I will take you there; please follow ." Taking the way, Gu Ren led everyone back ho. He thought about plotting against them using all the guards and his father against the two of them, but he instantly dropped his idea.
Unlike him, his father was righteous and hated soone who broke the rules. If he knew what he was up to, staying in the family inheritance would be the least of his worries.
Not to ntion, he could feel it; his father was no match for the man. Forget about the woman whose strength he does not even know.
Now that he thought about it, he was hitting on her before, right?
Glancing at Xin Yan walking behind him from the corner of his eyes and just thinking about what he had done made him feel a cold chill running through his spine.
"Hmm?" Hearing a cold snort from Noah made him hurriedly straighten his head. 'Woah-woah! What are you doing, Gu Ren? You almost turned gay.
This guy is a maniac; now I feel nothing but fear and dread from this demon of a woman. Why are you still acting like I am ogling your wife?
Gu Ren wanted to cry, but he had no tears!
He could only curse Noah in his heart and make his way to his mansion.
Even though he feared Noah might do sothing to his family, he had more interest in surviving himself first.
After a few turns that took a few minutes, the three of them found themselves before the most luxurious building in the city.
The huge carcass of a spirit beast was placed at the center of the entrance of the Gu Family residence. There were two qi-gathering realm guards guarding the entrance of the place.
"Welco back, young master." Seeing Gu Ren without his guards and along with strangers, they frowned but bowed in greeting nonetheless.
"Young master, your injuries?!" When the guards looked at him once more, they finally noticed his injuries and looked at Noah with wariness.
The grip on their weapons tightening.
Seeing their actions, Gu Ren panicked. 'What are you doing, idiots! Do you want to die!'
'If you want to die, go ahead; don't pull down along with you!'
Gu Ren's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, and he hurriedly waved his hands.
"I went into the wilderness; beasts attacked .
My guards stayed to protect , but they could not co back alive, and these generous, gracious, life-saving benefactors of mine!"
Sweat broke down on his face as he kept gazing at Noah while glancing at him, wondering if he was going to take any action or not.
Noah, on the other hand, did not seem to be caring about anything and watched everything unfold with indifference, but inwardly he was amused. Eating popcorn, watching the drama with a 3-D glass on.
'This guy is cooking so weird shit, but I like it.'
The guards were confused, but seeing how adamant Gu Ren was with his story, they accepted it with so hesitation and moved to the side.
"We will inform the patriarch about the arrival of the young master. He should attend the young master's savior himself." Once the three entered the mansion, one of the guards took his leave to inform Gu Chen, the city lord, the patriarch of the Gu family, and a core formation level powerhouse.
"I should… go and… tell my father about your presence. Yeah! I should go bring him." Taking Noah and Xin Yan to a guest hall, Gu Ren wanted to run away from the room and go to anywhere where these two demonic couples were not there.
"No need." But sadly for him, Noah did not allow him to escape and coldly rejected his offer, "Your father is already inford about our presence, and he is coming here as we speak."
Noah sat down on a couch with Xin Yan and patiently waited for the man they ca to see.
"Umm…" Forcing a smile, Gu Ren walked towards a chair; when he almost sat on a chair, he saw Xin Yan looking— no, glaring at him, and he straightened up.
He tried to sit once more, but her glare made him unable to do so. Giving up, he walked to the side of the main seat and decided to stay standing.

While the whole drama was going on, the door of the room opened once more, and a man appeared in their sight. He was a middle-aged man, sharp eyes, dignified pose, so gray hairs here and there.
Gu Chen's eyes first landed on Noah and Xin Yan, and they narrowed dangerously before they shifted towards his son and twitched wildly.
Seeing the timid nature of his son, he felt like slapping the soul out of his offspring, but he forced himself to calm down.
"Greetings fellow Daoists!" Walking up to the main seat, he shot a sharp glare at his son, who looked away as if not noticing his actions, before taking a seat.
"Now why don't we cut to the chase?" He ignored how the two cultivators before him did not stand to greet him or pay him proper respect and crossed his legs before leaning back into the chair. "Why don't you tell the reason you are here for?"
"I am well aware that you did not help my son a single bit and you also killed several of my guards, so I am wondering what might be the reason you ca to and are still not scared how I will punish you for your sins!"
BOOM!
A powerful aura ca out of Gu Chen and filled the room; this was not just his cultivation but also his killing intent!
