No one, not even the general Helena, dared to linger in the presence of such primal killing intent, and she disappeared from the group.
When Helena disappeared, Song Liu’s figure started to distort like a faulty image.
"Looks like the ti is up?"As soon as those words left her mouth, her figure twisted away, and a small tallic rhombus fell to the ground from midair.
The priestess barely looked at the device before sweeping her gaze on the area around her.
’How is that possible...’ Clenching her hands into a fist, she waved her hand and muttered. "Tier 8 Magic: The Breath of Ice God!"
Snowflakes appeared out of thin air before condensing into sothing more prominent and solid. The air grew stronger, and within a single second a blizzard ford. I swallowed the walls of flas in no ti, leaving nothing but layers of snow and ice after it disappeared.
The priestess walked closer to the World Tree while her thoughts were already in disarray. ’How can he use magical energy as well?! Is he from the sa world as ? Did he co from another world? Or... did he obtain so sort of inheritance of a great being in this world?’
Several questions appeared in her mind, but she had no answer to any of them.
"Whatever the case, I have to plan differently now. Before, I was sure the plan was flawless, but now..." The sounds of leaves being crushed under feet echoed in the ground as the woman walked closer to the roots of the blood tree, and behind her, the leaves that had caught fire fell like burning stars.
When she stopped, her eyes fell on the ground where the blood pond was supposed to be, but she saw nothing but the bloody grotesque roots of the tree. They disappeared into the ground, deep below the surface, leaving her to see nothing but dirt and rocks.
A flicker of uncertainty flashed through the eyes of the golden-haired woman. She raised her feet from the ground and almost took a step forward, but just as her leather shoes touched the lifeless soil in the front, the ground crumbled inwardly.
Thud!
Like shattered glass, several ters of soil before the priestess reaching up to the world tree collapsed into the ground. Everything happened before she could even retract her step, leaving her hanging on the edge of the solid ground.
"Noah..." The priestess uttered with pure hatred, gnashing her teeth when she realized that the mont her eyes laid on the young man, she was not the only one who was buying for ti.
"You are the second person who ever stood in my way, but you will not be the second to survive." Dark clouds started to gather above the tree of life as if they were reacting to her anger. The world itself seed to be twisting with her rage.
But she noticed this change and controlled herself in ti before things could get out of hand. "No matter where you hide, I will co for you." She spoke those words with pure calmness.
Glancing in the deep pit for the last ti, the leader of the Red Dawn Cult finally turned around and left the area while leaving a few words: "It is ti I move up the speed of your plans, my lord, and give the world the salvation it needs."
Behind her, deep inside the gaping hole within the earth, the roots of the world tree, thick as the branches above the surface, were entangled, gnawing deeper into the soil. These roots would pulse from ti to ti from the deepest parts of the ground towards the surface as if they were sucking out sothing from within.
The roots of the world tree were known to go as deep within the ground as they soared above the surface.

But these bloody roots seed different, at least not on the surface. One second they were acting normally, and the next second raging flas surged from the deepest parts of the planet, latching onto the roots and slowly making their way above the ground.

After teleporting, Noah and his group had appeared in a dark cave. There was a very bare minimum of light where they stood, and the moisture in the air clung to the skin.
The atmosphere would have made normal people flinch, but all the mbers of the group were battle-hardened soldiers once in their lives if not now.
"Where are we?" Wuhan looked at Noah in confusion; from the start they only had one plan. To et up right under the world tree, where he would tell them about the next plan."Looks like a dungeon..."
Looking around the area, he noticed several chains hanging from the ceilings. He could even see so guards lying on the ground, their heads lying right beside them.
Despite the darkness, he had no problem seeing anything.
"We are in the royal prison." Noah replied, conjuring a small ball of light with a wave of his hand.
"Weren’t we supposed to save that elven princess and her family? Is she trapped here?" Captain Black Sword asked with the sa lazy expression. The wounds on his body were still bleeding slowly, making his breathing heavier.
He was not alone; the rest of the guards were also wounded from the confrontation with the cult.
"We are no longer looking for Sylvheriel. Turns out she was a traitor who wanted to lure us here to present our heads to the woman in charge here, whom she even called her aunt." Warning the group about the elven princess’s real personality, Noah led the group through the darkness. He told them everything he had seen ever since he t with the priestess while omitting a few details.
Captain Black Sword, upon hearing everything, let out a long sigh. Even though he did not say anything, his silence spoke volus. Wuhan did not seem as surprised as the rest, as if he knew everything beforehand.
