The cafeteria was buzzing louder than usual, probably because half the academy was still talking about the match.

Conversations blurred into background noise as Brandon and Elena walked through the food line.

They found a table near the window and the sunlight stread across the table, making the food look like a feast.

Elena didn’t waste a second and bit into the cutlet with a satisfied hum.

"Mmmmm... this is so good. Bran, taste it."

Before he could respond, she stabbed a piece with her fork and held it to his mouth.

He gave the food a look before leaning and taking it in his mouth.

Seeing him munching it, she looked at him expectantly "So?"

With a nod, he spoke "Yeah, it tastes great."

She smiled warmly "Knew it."

Brandon picked up his own drink and took a sip of iced tea as she continued devouring her food.

After a mont, he leaned his cheek into his palm and watched her "You’re really in a good mood."

Elena paused mid-bite, then swallowed and shrugged lightly "Well... yeah."
