Now reading: Chapter 25 Female Cop Fainted1 from Ghost Catching System, a Horror novel by Resolve Three Thousand.

Everyone in the Wang Family was dumbstruck, and Wang Jianyu was in complete despair. He couldn’t believe this was his own son.

The police arrived.

In an underground warehouse, they found Wang Kun’s cri scene, along with the bodies of the twins. It was a horrific, unbearable sight, drenched in blood. Even the forensic examiner couldn’t handle it and was filled with rage.

At that ti, Wang Yu was quite curious. He went in to take a look, and as a result, his legs turned to jelly, and he vomited his guts out.

"Freak."

Wang Yu was horrified. There was such a terror, a freak, right by his side. If it hadn’t been for Chu Hao, they would have had no idea.

A female officer with delicate features approached. She was quite pretty, with exquisite features, and said to Chu Hao, "Please co with us."

Chu Hao didn’t refuse. In his mind, helping the police was an honor, wasn’t it?

The female officer then said, "You have illegally spread the culture of an Evil Cult, causing social chaos. Now, I’m arresting you."

"What the hell! Is there so mistake?"

Chu Hao’s face darkened. He was spreading the culture of an Evil Cult?

The female officer took out handcuffs and put them on Chu Hao, saying, "No mistake. It’s you. Co with ."

Wang Yu ran over, his face filled with shock, and quickly said, "Hey, hey! You’ve got the wrong person, right?"

The female officer was stern and impartial. "No mistake."

Wang Yu’s father also ca over, frowning. "Officer, what’s going on here?"

The female officer said indifferently, "He has illegally spread the culture of an Evil Cult. We’re arresting him now."

Wang Yu and his father didn’t know what to say. This was absurd. If it hadn’t been for Chu Hao, they would all be done for.

Wang Yu’s father said, "Taoist Master, we’ll have to impose on you for a bit. I’ll imdiately hire a lawyer to appeal. You’ll be out soon."

Chu Hao felt like cursing. This was the first ti he had been arrested by the police; in the past, it had always been the city managent he’d dealt with.

"No, no! Have you got it wrong? How could I possibly be spreading the culture of an Evil Cult? Damn it!... Help!"

Then, Chu Hao was placed in a police car and taken away from the villa.

Chu Hao really felt like crying but had no tears. What was all this? Catching a Ghost led to an accusation of spreading the culture of an Evil Cult. Could it be any more exaggerated?

In the police interrogation room, Chu Hao’s handcuffs were removed. The female officer said, "Na."

Chu Hao said agitatedly, "Officer, I’m innocent."

The female officer glared at him. "Speak properly. This is a police station."

"Na!"

"Chu Hao."

"Gender!"

"Male."

After a series of questions, Chu Hao took a deep breath and said, "Officer, I can prove my innocence."

The female officer smiled, a rather sweet one. She crossed her arms, her face delicate, and said, "How do you want to prove it?"

Chu Hao coughed solemnly. "I can make you see a Ghost."

The female officer was furious. She slamd the table and said, "Kid! Still not being honest in the police station? Daring to spread superstitious nonsense here? Are you asking for a beating?"

Chu Hao felt it was futile to say more, so he said, "Sadako, show yourself to her."

STATIC! The lights in the interrogation room flickered, and a terrifying figure appeared behind Chu Hao, face covered in blood, its eyes staring straight at the female officer.

Then... the female officer’s eyes bulged, and she fainted.

Chu Hao: "..."

"Co on, Officer, wake up."

Chu Hao really wanted to cry. What if they added assaulting an officer to his list of charges? Wouldn’t he be finished then?

As expected, two male officers ca in, furious. They took Chu Hao away and locked him in a cell.

"Damn it!" Chu Hao was at a loss for words, looking up to the heavens. What on earth was going on?

He opened the System’s item slot. An item had dropped from the Evil Ghost he slew today, and he hadn’t had a chance to look at it yet.

Evil Ghost Pill: A pill that, when consud by an Evil Ghost, can enhance its strength.

Chu Hao was overjoyed. There actually existed such a thing! He quickly summoned Sadako.

Sadako retained her usual appearance, her disheveled hair covering her face. She was actually a very beautiful girl but preferred not to show her face.

Chu Hao said, "Hurry up and take it. It can increase your strength."

Sadako, delighted, imdiately swallowed the Evil Ghost Pill.

"Ding... Sadako’s level has increased by 1."

Evil Ghost: Yamamura Sadako

Level: 2

Strength: 17

Agility: 15

Intelligence: 12

Skill: Seven-Day Death Curse (Upgradeable: Psychokinesis, Subsonic Wave)

In the movie version, Sadako’s Curse was terrifyingly powerful. After watching the videotape, death was certain within seven days.

Fang Jingxue woke up to find herself lying on a hospital bed. "I... What happened to ?"

It was then that Fang Jingxue rembered that horrifying scene: a woman with a grueso, blood-covered face standing behind Chu Hao. She shuddered again.

She had been a policewoman for over three years and had seen plenty of strange things. But when Chu Hao said she would see a Ghost... she really did see a Ghost!

"Hiss!" Fang Jingxue gasped. She got dressed and prepared to leave the hospital.

A voice said, "Jingxue, you just woke up. Why are you heading out?"

An old man ca into view. Fang Jingxue said, "Grandpa, I have sothing urgent to take care of. I can’t explain now."

With that, she put on her police uniform and ran out.

"This girl," the old man said with a mix of laughter and tears.

Now, Fang Jingxue was filled with curiosity about Chu Hao. She wanted to ask what exactly had happened. Although she was quite timid, she was even more inclined to explore the unknown.

Upon returning to the police station, she found that Chu Hao was gone.

Fang Jingxue asked, "Where is he?"

A colleague said, "That man hired a lawyer. He was picked up early in the morning."

Fang Jingxue was sowhat disappointed. She had rushed back, eager to know the situation, only to find that he had already left.

At a luxurious restaurant, Chu Hao was eating and drinking heartily. Having been cooped up for a whole night, he was indeed hungry.

Wang Yu said with a grin, "Taoist Master, I’m sorry for the inconvenience you’ve suffered."

Chu Hao glared at him. "Do I look that old to you?"

Wang Yu felt awkward. Chu Hao was indeed very young, only about eighteen years old.

Still, given your politeness, this Taoist Master will overlook it, thought Chu Hao.

He waved his hand and said, "Call Brother Hao from now on. I prefer this title."

Wang Yu dared not say otherwise, hurriedly responding, "Please take your ti eating, Brother Hao. Be careful not to choke. I’ll pour you so tea."

After a satisfying al, Chu Hao patted his belly contentedly. Being rich really was different; the food was too good. When I have money in the future, I’ll eat here every day, he thought.

Chu Hao asked in a leisurely manner, "Has your family’s old man been cremated yet?"

Chu Hao rembered telling the Wang Family that the old man must be cremated after he left.

Speaking of this, Wang Yu’s complexion turned unsightly. His voice trembled as he said, "My... my grandfather, he disappeared last night."

Chu Hao was shocked. "That’s not right! A corpse shouldn’t reanimate that quickly. How could it just disappear?"

"I... I don’t know either. We were all focused on Wang Kun yesterday. When we returned to the villa, the body was gone. Brother Hao, you must help us. We’re counting on you," Wang Yu pleaded fearfully.

There was definitely more to this incident, thought Chu Hao.
