The Seal Devil Altar had beco the vessel of an Evil Spirit, a very ancient entity. Inside, a vast space held countless sealed souls.
As Chu Hao and the two Ghost Generals entered, they imdiately saw a large, ancient town.
The town was gloomy. Its architecture resembled that of ancient towns in the Yamato Country. Inhabitants dressed in the period clothing of the Dwarf Kingdom mingled with modern-looking people. All of them had lost their Ghost Hearts and wandered aimlessly through the streets.
Chu Hao, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun landed in the town and imdiately spotted Li Yin among the crowd of souls.
Chu Hao walked over, grabbed Li Yin’s shoulder, and asked, "Don’t wander off. Where’s Teacher Qiu?"
However, Li Yin seed to have lost his consciousness, rely staring blankly at Chu Hao.
Chu Hao realized that the most crucial of Li Yin’s Three Souls and Seven Spirits were missing—what was known as his Ghost Heart. Its absence had left him in this dazed, unresponsive state.
"My Lord," Zhao Yun observed, "it appears these souls are being fard. Without their Ghost Hearts, they won’t awaken even if we return them."
Chu Hao nodded and commanded, "Find the Evil Spirit. Whoever stands in your way, kill them."
"Understood!" Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei replied.
They searched the entire town but couldn’t locate the Evil Spirit. There were far too many souls, and all of them lacked Ghost Hearts.
At that mont, Chu Hao saw a familiar girl on the town’s main road: Qiu Shanyezi. She, too, had been captured and thrown into the Seal Devil Altar. Qi Zhongyu had done this after she acted as an informant.
Qiu Shanyezi, with a blank expression, pointed in a specific direction.
Chu Hao approached her. Even though Qiu Shanyezi has lost her Ghost Heart, the fact that she just pointed in a direction suggests her soul’s consciousness is still strong.
Following the direction Qiu Shanyezi had indicated, Chu Hao and his Ghost Generals left the town and ascended a nearby mountain peak.
