With the death of the Black Water Ghost King, Ghost King Valley ceased to exist.
However, the Resentful Ghost Army suddenly erupted. The pit where tens of thousands had been buried alive now teed with innurable corpses and Corpse Monsters crawling out from the soil, their sky-high resentnt refusing to dissipate.
When Chu Hao returned to the surface, he saw the Resentful Ghost Army—ghosts and Corpse Monsters alike—marching out of the mountains.
Chu Hao's face turned grim.
He grabbed the Female Ghost Lady and asked, "What's going on here?"
The Female Ghost Lady said fearfully, "The Great King has always been a fugitive wanted by the Underworld. His ability to evade capture and enjoy his life here was entirely due to this Resentful Ghost Army. Now that the Great King is dead, their resentnt can no longer be suppressed."
So that's how it is, Chu Hao thought.
There were far too many Resentful Ghosts. The ones he had killed previously were rely a drop in the ocean. Now, he saw them densely packed in every corner of the mountain range—easily over ten thousand of them. It was a terrifying sight.
The resentnt radiating from this army was overwhelming. If they escaped the mountains, they would likely kill any human on sight. Their march towards the outside world ant that if they reached human society, it would be a catastrophe of epic proportions.

Chu Hao positioned himself before the Resentful Ghost Army. These Resentful Ghosts were incredibly aggressive; upon spotting a living being, they pounced forward as if they had gone mad.
The horrific resentnt and Ghost Qi were so intense that even Chu Hao found them nearly unbearable. If not for the True Qi circulating within his body, he felt he wouldn't even be able to move.
No wonder, Chu Hao mused. They were buried alive, so their resentnt was inherently massive. That must be why the Underworld allowed the Black Water Ghost King to run rampant here.
