Lana’s pupil dilated as she watched Lucian’s handso face up close. His ocean-deep blue eyes stared at her with curiosity and amusent.
"Who are you?" His deep voice carried a hint of danger, and yet to Lana’s ears it was like a lody.
"ow." ’Lucian,’ She called out, yet froze with embarrassnt when she realized her current form.
’Great... just great... In my previous life, during our first encounter, I looked disgraceful, and in this life... I t him as a cat... Why do all the embarrassing monts have to happen in my life?’
Soon, though, her mind was distracted by the familiar rich cedar cologne assaulting her nose, deeply captivating her senses, and filling her with a deep sense of security.

Lucian stared at the silver cat and extended his long ivory finger, pinching the neck of the silver cat. The intense emotions in its eye didn’t go unnoticed.
"Who are you?" This ti, his tone was laced with warning.
The case of ghosts possessing animals was so common that Lucian wouldn’t even be surprised if the next second he heard a hoarse, manly voice from the cat’s mouth.
Yet he had admitted the cat... slled nice. The faint yet undetectable fragrance wafted to his nose, refreshing his fatigued mind.
’Or is this cat so kind of new sche by my enemies?’ Lucian wondered. He won’t be surprised if that brother of his was listening or monitoring his (Lucian’s) mont in a distant room using the cat.
Even if that was the case, Lucian thought of acquiring the fragrance that the cat was carrying. Maybe then he could finally fall asleep this week?
"ow." Lana ca out of her trance due to the pain seeping from the back of her neck and tapped her paws on his wrist.
"Painful?" Lucian laughed softly; his deep, magnetic voice made Lana feel a bit dizzy.
’Vixen.’ Lana thought, but redirected her focus on Lucian and nodded firmly; her steady yet watery gaze remained fixed on Lucian. She was sure that Lucian wouldn’t harm her.
Maybe the security in her eyes looked ridiculous, or maybe it was his instincts. The next second, Lucian placed Lana on his lap, though his hand still pinched her soft fur skin; the strength applied had reduced a lot.
"ow, ow." Lana gave him a smile and even patted his stomach as if rewarding him. But the next second, her paws froze.
’My god! He has an eight-pack! I was right in my past life!’ She wondered as her paws pressed the firm abs.
Life was truly fair; it gave her sour lemons after waking up but compensated her by letting her touch her white moonlight’s abs!
’A pervert cat?’ Lucian wondered as he saw the small silver kitten pressing his abs.
"Like what you touch? Are you a pervert cat?" He asked, his voice laced with gentleness, yet it carried a hint of warning. Using his free hand, he grabbed the paws and lifted them away from his abs.
Lana paused before smirking internally. With a shaless expression, she nodded. ’Anyways, I am a cat. He will never know I am Lana.’
Lucian was taken aback by the firm nod before shaking his head. "Tell , are you an outer-world ghost or a ghost of this world?"
Outer world ghosts were the ones that traveled from the portal to their world.
Now he surmised that the cat in front of him was possessed. How can a cat understand human language?
Lana pulled back her paws from his grasp and jumped on the glass table where a laptop was placed. With utmost seriousness, she opened the notepad and typed,
’I am a divine soul, descended to help you.’
"Hm? Divine soul?" Lucian chuckled, reading the words. ’An outer-world ghost it is.’
Lana, having lived with Lucian for 5 years, knew he didn’t believe her. She typed it out again, this ti with a determined expression.

All the nonchalance vanished from Lucian’s face, yet his body remained seated with no plan to take action.
