For the next five days, Lana stayed in her room to cultivate.
On the 11th day, Lana was requested to check out, and she finally erged from the hotel room.
"Sigh... I only have a little over $1500 left. The hotel initially allowed to stay here because they knew that if they kicked out within the promised 10 days of compensation, they would face public outrage. But now that 10 days are over. They directly asked to leave. I guess the other hotels won’t let rent a room too..." Lana muttered.
As soon as she exited her hotel room, Lana saw people passing by.
So had a partially golden, partially black mist swirling above their heads. So had yellow mist, while so had greenish fog.
Lana was dying of curiosity about what those colors ant.
"Purple fog is possessed by people destined to beco rulers. They are the kings, or in their previous lives, they might have been a kind and well-loved king." Mr. Crow, who was perched on Lana’s shoulder, explained.
"Gold fog, if tinged with a bit of yellow, shows that the person has done many good deeds. On the other hand, gold fog ans the person possesses impressive luck."
"So why can’t I see the fog possessed by ?" Lana asked in confusion as she moved toward the lift.
Mr. Crow cast a disdainful glance. "Wasn’t it clear? You cannot use your superpower on yourself."
Lana nodded, then continued to ask, "What about green, pink, orange, and red mist?"
"Green mist is usually possessed by people destined to rise in power; however, their ans aren’t pure. Pink mist is possessed by people who will soon encounter their love."
Lana watched in awe at the people passing by; each of them had a variety of colors; however, there was a certain thing common in all of them.
Their mists occasionally flashed with black hues.
"What do red, black, and red-black mist signify?"
"Red mist ans the person harbors severe resentnt and killing intent. Black mist ant death that was nearing. Occasional flashes of black mist an bad luck. When red and black mist appear together, it signifies that the person will die."
Lana’s heart skipped a beat, and she looked at the people in the elevator. Sure enough, she saw a man with heavy red and black mist. He looked like a businessman on a trip.
As the elevator doors opened and the crowd began to disperse, Lana hesitated briefly before swiftly following the man.
"Excuse ," Lana called out.
The man, who looked in his early 40s and had short black hair, wearing a brown business suit, froze.
Looking at the beautiful woman with cascading silver hair and sapphire-like eyes, his brows furrowed, yet he maintained his gentlemanly aura.
"Yes, miss?"
"You might want to stay in the hotel room today," Lana suggested, while her eyes were fixed on the black mist obscuring the golden mist tinged with yellow.
This man was a ritorious person. Such good people deserve to live longer. If only she could know what would cause his death... she might not have been so vague.
The next second, Lana, who was staring at the black fog, had a vision.
In the vision, the black-haired man was driving and took a shortcut to avoid traffic.
As he reached the midway point of the road, a small earthquake appeared, and his car fell into a crack. In the end, even his body wasn’t found.
While Lana was staring at the red-black mist, her eyes glowed with a golden glow, causing the man to be stunned.
Lana suddenly blinked, and the vision disappeared. Her hands were cold, while her heart was beating rapidly.
"You can’t... Don’t take any shortcuts today! Did you hear ?" Her voice was laced with panic.
"Huh? But... but why?" The man was befuddled.
Who was she, and why did she even think that he would take a shortcut? However, the most important question remained: why?
Thinking about the golden glow in Lana’s eyes, he asked with suspicion-laced words, "Did you see sothing, young lady?"
"I..." Lana began, but before she could speak, a receptionist appeared and looked at Lana respectfully. "Ma’am, do you need any help carrying out your luggage?"
"No." Lana frowned impatiently and turned toward the man to speak, but the next second, her voice seed to have vanished. She clutched her throat in panic and tried to speak, but not a single word could be uttered.
"Give up... heaven’s secret can’t be told to anyone." Mr. Crow shook his head in pity.
"Ma’am, then please leave. We can’t entertain any crazed client like you." The receptionist said with a standard smile, while the man questioned,
"Miss, please mind your manners."
