’What if they say they spent nearly five hundred million dollars on ?’

No explanation would ever be enough then.

That was why, when the picnic proposal had been placed in front of her earlier, she had not hesitated for even a second.

She had agreed imdiately, seeing it as another opportunity to gather resources independently, with the principal’s sponsorship rely serving as a safety net.

Now, hearing the words additional resources, she felt genuinely flabbergasted, her breath hitching slightly.

Axel leaned back, his tone calm yet layered with aning.

"Additional resources don’t just an funds," he said. "They include talismans, artifacts, and equipnt you can use."

He paused briefly, letting the words sink in before continuing,

"There are also certain items that could be extrely beneficial to you. For example, crystals that allow rapid recovery of mystic energy."

Lana’s eyes widened almost imperceptibly. The air felt heavier, charged with possibility.

"Those crystals are rare," Axel went on, "hard to co by in the open market. But they are listed on the internal website. With sufficient credits, they can be purchased."

Hearing that, Lana felt a ripple of surprise wash through her. Before she could respond, Axel added another layer, his lips curling into a faint smile.

"You can also use credits to build connections."

That single sentence made Lana freeze.

Connections?

She frowned slightly, confusion flickering across her face, and Axel elaborated,

"Credits can be lent out. Through that, you can create favors. Use them wisely, and later, those favors can be called upon for real actions in your life."

Lana inhaled slowly, her chest rising and falling as the weight of those words settled in.

This was the first ti she had ever heard of such a feature.

In her previous life, she had belonged to the weapon-designing departnt. She had never once encountered anything like this.

No wonder... This feature is far too valuable.

Connections with influential figures were not sothing one could easily obtain.

The realization made her heart beat faster. She lifted her gaze to Axel, eyes sharp with disbelief, and asked, "Does such a feature really exist?"

Axel smiled knowingly. "Only those with ten thousand credits in their account can see this feature."

He continued casually, "If you had checked the website thoroughly before purchasing yellow-rank materials, you might have noticed it too."

Lana was stunned.

When she had bought the yellow-rank packages, she had barely skimd through the website, assuming she already knew everything there was to know.

Now, hearing that new features unlocked after reaching ten thousand credits, curiosity surged through her veins. She imdiately pulled out her phone, the cool screen pressing against her fingertips.

As she scrolled, her expression shifted from curiosity to disbelief.

There it was.

A section listing individuals across multiple departnts, the Spiritual Energy Departnt, the Talisman Practitioner Departnt, even the Dream Warden Departnt, along with several others. The sheer scope left her montarily breathless.

Then, like a delayed echo, another mory surfaced.

The loaning feature...

She rembered seeing it once, long ago, and dismissing it without a second thought.

From the very beginning, she had never planned to take loans. Now, however, she realized that feature must have been tied to the ten-thousand-credit threshold as well.

She looked up at Axel again, eyes gleaming, and asked, "Is there anyone else who has ten thousand credits?"

Axel chuckled softly. "There is. One of your classmates."

Lana didn’t need further explanation. Her lips parted as she asked, "Quinn?"

Axel nodded.

Lana was stunned into silence before she muttered under her breath, "So that’s how it is... This really is a brilliant way of earning."

From another person’s perspective, spending credits in exchange for favors might seem like a loss.

But to Lana, these connections were priceless. Outside the university walls lay a vast world that ran on influence and backing.

So needed protection from police units, others required safety assurances, while many needed connections just to purchase real estate.

To say that connections were essential in this city would not be an exaggeration.

With this function alone, one could easily weave an invisible web of influence.

Gratitude welled up in her chest, warm and sincere. She looked at Axel and smiled, her voice steady as she said,

"One day, when I truly make a lot of talismans and can craft advanced ones, I will definitely honor you."

Axel laughed, waving a hand dismissively. "Who knows if I’ll even be alive to see that day?"

The mont those words fell, Lana’s eyelids twitched violently.

A sharp discomfort pierced her chest, cold and sudden. Her face darkened as she snapped back, "You really know how to speak nonsense."

Axel blinked, then burst into hearty laughter. "That reaction alone tells enough," he said cheerfully.

"At least you’re not an ungrateful child. That’s more than enough for ."

He asked her a few more questions before finally dismissing her.

Once Lana stepped outside, the light shifted around her. She glanced at Axel briefly, then her expression hardened into determination.

Mr. Crow fluttered closer, tilting his head. "What happened?"

Lana lowered her voice, the words almost a whisper. "I saw a future."

Mr. Crow stiffened instantly, his feathers ruffling as he asked with concern, "Did you see Axel’s end?"

Lana pressed her lips together before nodding slowly. "Yes. I saw him getting killed."

Silence stretched between them. After a mont, Mr. Crow sighed. "Everyone is destined to die soday."

Lana remained quiet for a beat before speaking again, her tone thoughtful. "But I noticed sothing strange."

Mr. Crow turned to her, attentive.

"I’ve interacted with many people," Lana continued. "A lot of them et frequently. I can see their aura clearly, but for so reason, I can’t see their visions at all. Isn’t that odd?"

Mr. Crow pondered for a mont before replying, "It’s likely because your abilities are still in their initial stage."

Lana let out a soft chuckle, the sound light yet edged with sothing unreadable, and murmured, "At first, I thought the sa."
