He almost contacted the site administrator to confirm the transaction, but he forced himself to calm down.

Excitent surged through him like a wave, hot and dizzying.

Without wasting another second, he began allocating the funds to the most urgent areas: supplies, defenses, infrastructure.

And then, without hesitation, he paid off the debt in full.

In the adjacent room, Magnus was jolted awake by a sharp alarm ringing from his phone.

The sound sliced through the quiet morning like a blade. His heart leapt into his throat as he fumbled to silence it.

This wasn’t an ordinary alarm.

It was tied directly to their loan system, set to ring the mont the debt looming over their heads was completely cleared.

Who would have thought it would actually ring?

Magnus sat there in a daze, his palm resting on the phone screen. For a mont, he even wondered if he was still dreaming. He pinched his arm lightly, then looked around the room.

Reality didn’t change.

A slow smile spread across his face.

’Did Hunter finally agree?’ he wondered, warmth blooming in his chest. ’Did he reach out to the investor for my sake?’

Feeling oddly touched, Magnus quickly got dressed and hurried over to Hunter’s office. The mont he stepped inside, he bead.

"I never thought you’d actually agree," Magnus exclaid cheerfully. "Thank you. Truly. I’m glad you finally stopped being so stubborn."

Hunter didn’t even look up.

He was still staring at the investor’s profile on the screen, his eyes sharp and focused.

’Four hundred million... without hesitation,’ he thought. She’ll definitely get special privileges. After all, she was their first real investor, the first to believe.

Magnus misunderstood the silence entirely. Seeing Hunter so absorbed, he assud guilt was weighing on him.

"Hey," Magnus said gently, sitting beside him. "Don’t be upset. We should celebrate."

Then he glanced at the screen.

His eyes widened.

"H-Hunter..." Magnus stamred, tugging at his sleeve. "Is this real? Soone actually invested four hundred million for just twenty acres?"

Hunter finally looked at him, a rare smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

Magnus laughed aloud, unable to contain himself. "We really did the right thing by waiting!"

Hunter let out a short snort. "If I hadn’t held on," he admitted quietly, "we would’ve sold it for two hundred million. We would’ve missed this entirely."

His gaze fell once more on the na displayed on the screen... Lana.

’If this city ever truly rises,’ he vowed silently, ’she’ll have privileges no one else does.’

anwhile, far away, Lana suddenly felt a strange sensation ripple through her body.

She paused, rubbing her arms lightly, then chuckled under her breath. "Sothing good is about to happen," she murmured.

Mr. Crowe snorted beside her. "You’ve thrown all your money into land, and now you’re saying good things will happen? What good can possibly co of it when prices haven’t even risen yet?"

Lana laughed softly, eting her reflection in the mirror as she straightened her clothes.

"If things were that simple, every reborn person would be rich by now." Her eyes glead. "It’ll take two years for that city to recover. By the fifth year, its value will explode."

She smiled faintly. "What I invested now will turn into ten billion. Maybe even a hundred billion."

Mr. Crowe stared at her suspiciously. "Then why not invest more?"

Lana shook her head. "Even with my connections, twenty acres is the limit. And money is still a problem... for now."

As she spoke, her thoughts drifted to the talismans she had crafted. A smirk curved her lips. ’It’s ti to earn again.’

She slung her bag over her shoulder. This ti, it felt much heavier than before, packed full with talismans ant for sale. She had already asked Axel for help.

Without hesitation, Lana headed straight for the university’s teachers’ staff room.

And the mont she knocked on the door, Axel’s cool voice ca from inside, calm and unhurried, "Enter."

As soon as Lana stepped in, the faint scent of ink and old paper brushed against her senses.

Axel put down the folder in his hands, the soft thud echoing in the quiet room, and lifted his gaze toward her with undisguised curiosity.

His sharp eyes lingered for a second longer than usual, as if trying to read sothing beneath her composed expression.

Lana walked forward without haste, her footsteps light against the floor. She placed the bag on the table, the fabric making a muted rustling sound, and gently slid it toward Axel.

Axel frowned in confusion. "What is this?"

He opened the bag and almost jumped out of his chair.

Inside were stacks upon stacks of basic talismans, their faint mystical fluctuations brushing against his senses like tiny sparks.

For a brief mont, his mind went completely blank. ’Is she even human?’ he wondered instinctively. ’How can soone make this many talismans?’

Lana watched his reaction calmly, her expression indifferent as if she had rely brought him ordinary paper. "This is only half of it," she added casually. "I was in a hurry today. I’ll bring the rest tomorrow. There are still more."

She tilted her head slightly. "Can you sell all of these?"

Axel finally snapped out of his shock. He closed the bag slowly and looked at her with a deep frown.

"Do you think talismans are garbage?" His voice sharpened. "Why are you selling so many at once? Aren’t you worried you won’t have any left for yourself?"

Lana laughed softly, the sound light and unconcerned. "I can make almost a thousand talismans a day."

Her eyes curved slightly. "Do you really think I’ll ever run out?"

Axel froze. "A thousand?" He stared at her as if his ears had malfunctioned. "Did you just say a thousand?"

Lana nodded nonchalantly, as though she were talking about the weather.

At that mont, Axel genuinely felt the urge to pry open her skull and see what kind of monster was hiding inside.

He took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. "Do you even know how many talismans an average talisman practitioner can make in a day?"

Lana nodded again. "I’ve heard it’s around a thousand or so."
