"I want the woman nad Lana kicked out of the store," he ordered coldly.

On the other end was Mike, the owner of the Perfu brand. Mike paused, surprise flickering through his voice. "Garrison, isn’t she..." your sister?

"Do it," Garrison interrupted. "Now."

Nike hesitated. He already knew Lana’s identity, and the order felt strange.

However, monts later, updated information reached him through his own channels. After a brief silence, he sighed.

"If that’s the case, I understand."

The call ended.

Garrison looked toward Lana’s direction with a faint, satisfied smile. ’You’re done for this ti,’ he thought confidently.

anwhile, Lana was strolling through the store when she felt a sharp gaze settle on her back. She smiled inwardly. ’So people really don’t know how to hide their intentions.’

Thanks to her heightened senses, she didn’t need to eavesdrop deliberately.

One phone call was enough for her to understand everything. ’So that’s the Perfu brand owner,’ she mused calmly.

Without waiting to be escorted out, she turned and left the store on her own.

The mont Garrison saw her walk out unbothered, his face flushed red with anger.

He had thought he could use this chance to humiliate her, to teach her a lesson. Instead, he had achieved nothing, even after pulling strings.

Lana, on the other hand, entered another boutique nearby.

After browsing briefly, she chose a pure black dress that perfectly matched her hair. Once she tried it on, she paused before the mirror.

The reflection made her blink.

The black fabric hugged her form elegantly, sharp yet regal. With her pale skin and dark hair, she looked like a gothic princess stepped out of a legend.

She smiled faintly.

Mr. Crow, however, was unusually silent. "What’s wrong?" Lana asked softly.

He didn’t answer imdiately. Even when Garrison had approached earlier, Mr. Crow had fallen into the sa silence. After a mont, he finally spoke,

"Did you notice Garrison’s aura?"

Lana shook her head slightly. "No."

That, in itself, was strange.

Mr. Crow’s expression turned serious.

"Logically speaking, that shouldn’t happen unless he’s about to do sothing directly involving you."

Lana’s eyes narrowed slowly.

"You an he’s planning to attack?"

Her lips curved faintly.

"If he has the ability, he can try. But intelligence is required too."

Mr. Crow studied her carefully, then nodded. "Be careful."

After paying, Lana left the boutique and headed toward the mall’s entrance.

The crowd noise faded slightly as she stepped into a quieter corridor. Just as she was about to relax, a sudden arm shot toward her mouth from behind.

Without hesitation, Lana twisted her body and dodged.

A shadow flashed past her eyes.

In the next second, the figure vanished.

Lana’s pupils constricted. ’Teleportation,’ she realized instantly. ’A superhuman.’

Mr. Crow imdiately activated his sensing ability, his voice turning grave. "That opponent is far stronger than you."

Lana quickly assessed the situation, her mind racing even as tension crawled up her spine. She glanced at Mr. Crow and spoke under her breath.

"How much stronger is he?"

Mr. Crow closed his eyes, doing his best to sense the opponent’s aura. The air felt heavy, almost oppressive, and even his feathers bristled faintly before he finally responded.

"At least five levels above you."

Lana clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.

’I’ve truly hit a wall this ti.’

Just as she was desperately thinking of a way out, the figure appeared again.

This ti, he didn’t hesitate.

He lunged forward and pressed a cloth straight toward Lana’s mouth. The faint chemical stench hit her nose instantly, making her pupils shrink.

Before she could even inhale...

A violent wave of sonic force tore through the air.

The attacker was flung backward as if struck by an invisible hamr, his body crashing heavily onto the ground with a dull thud. The sound echoed sharply before fading into silence.

Lana spun around instinctively, her heart pounding.

No one.

There was absolutely no one around.

Her brows furrowed in disbelief.

’Who used sonic waves just now?’

Then, a thought struck her like lightning. Her breathing slowed, and her eyes darkened with understanding.

’Soone... soone is protecting from the shadows.’

Her mind imdiately drifted to one person. ’Lucian...’

For a fleeting mont, she nearly pulled out her phone to call Lucian and confirm it.

But she stopped herself. ’Not now.’

She suppressed her curiosity and calmly walked toward the spot where she was supposed to et the driver.

Sure enough, the driver was already there.

The mont he saw Lana, panic flashed across his face. He rushed toward her, his voice tight with worry.

"Miss Lana, are you alright?"

Instead of answering imdiately, Lana narrowed her eyes slightly.

"How did you know I was in danger?"

The driver froze, looking stunned and confused at the sa ti.

"In danger?" he echoed. "I didn’t know that. I just... noticed the ti."

He hesitated, then continued honestly.

"You were two or three minutes late. Normally, you always call after you’ve finished everything and ask to co. You never make wait. Not even for a minute."

Lana’s eyes widened slightly.

"It beca four or five minutes today," he added quietly. "That’s why I got worried."

Lana was genuinely astonished.

’I didn’t expect this level of perception...’

At the sa ti, a sense of deep satisfaction welled up inside her. These people were highly sensitive, highly alert. ’With people like this around , how could I ever fall into real danger?’

She relaxed slightly and spoke calmly.

"There’s a secret bodyguard protecting from the shadows," she said. "He intervened just now. I did encounter an assassination attempt."

This ti, the driver didn’t look shocked at all.

"I see," he replied calmly.

Lucian had already inford him long ago that a hidden protector was assigned to Lana, so this only confird what he already knew. He studied her carefully.

"Are you injured?"

Lana waved her hand dismissively.

"I’m completely fine. Thanks to him, I didn’t even have to face a second strike."

The driver nodded and gestured toward the car.
