How ironic.

Just yesterday, she had treated Lana as an enemy.

And now... Lana had rushed here to save her.

’Maybe... she was never wrong. Maybe it was my own actions that pushed her away.’

Her gaze shifted toward the unstable mass of mystic energy forming in Lana’s hand, its shape flickering and distorting as though it might shatter at any second.

Then she looked at the man beneath the cloak.

Tan. Her partner. Her boyfriend.

And now... a GA mber who wanted her dead.

A strange fire ignited in Shelley’s chest, equal parts grief and fury.

’So this is what we ant to you? Nothing more than ants?’

With a sharp cry, she thrust her sword toward Tan’s heart. Tan casually deflected the strike and retaliated, his palm redirecting power straight toward Lana.

Shelley’s pupils shrank.

She tried to form a mystic sphere to intercept it, but she was too slow.

Compared to Tan, she was painfully weak. He was a prodigy, an overachiever among mystical cultivators. Soone like him could crush Lana effortlessly.

The next instant, Tan hurled a blazing sphere of mystic energy toward Lana.

Shelley’s heart stopped.

Not because the attack shot forward like lightning, nearly colliding with Lana...

But because sothing impossible happened.

The sword Lana was never supposed to create... materialized.

It ford completely, its blade shimring with unstable yet terrifying power, and shot forward to et the incoming attack.

The mystic sphere burst apart like a fragile bubble.

The sword did not stop.

It continued flying straight toward Tanner.

Tanner clearly had never believed such a thing could happen. Shock flashed across his face a second before the blade slamd into his chest.

He was thrown backward, crashing onto the ground nearly ten ters away, the sheer force carving a trail through the stone beneath him.

Shelley stared, stunned, at Lana.

Lana stood there as well, equally shocked, staring at her own hands.

Shelley could only think one thing.

’What the hell... How did she do that?’

In the entire history of mystical cultivation, no one had materialized a mystic sword on their first attempt. Such feats were reserved for those far above Heaven rank.

And yet Lana had done it.

At that mont, Shelley’s respect for her rose uncontrollably.

anwhile, Mr. Crow was rushing frantically through the chaos. After dealing with as many wandering spirits as he could, he finally spotted Axel locked in battle nearby.

"Axel!" Mr. Crow called out as he reached him. "You need to hear this... Lana... she..."

He quickly explained what Lana had done.

Axel’s expression darkened with fury. He was able to understand Mr. Crow because of the language bracelet he possessed.

"This girl..." he muttered, clenching his fists.

"Why can’t she understand? Even if people die here, her involvent will not change the outco. What does she think she is? So kind of Batman? Does she believe she has a trump card?"

The more he thought about it, the angrier he beca.

But beneath that anger was sothing else.

Concern.

Because for the first ti in years, he had found soone who shared his path, soone who carried the sa blood and burdens as he did.

Soone who made him feel that he was no longer alone.

Soone who felt like family.

After finally finding her again... after regaining soone who felt like the only proof that he was not alone in this world... the re thought of losing her drove Axel nearly insane.

The idea clawed at his chest.

’If she dies...’

For a fleeting second, a violent impulse surged through him.

He wanted to tear this entire world apart.

He wanted to crush every structure, every rule, every hidden mastermind who dared to orchestrate such a disaster.

His rage toward the GA mbers deepened into sothing venomous.

’If they so much as harm a single strand of her hair... I will kill every last one of them.’

As that thought settled, the air around him began to thicken.

The negative energy swirling through the campus intensified, heavy and suffocating, carrying the tallic scent of blood and the chilling odor of decaying resentnt.

Only then did Axel understand. Earlier, he couldn’t understand why many people were being killed.

Even if the GA mber wanted to kill them, they should have directly done so... why go through the trouble of involving beauty cream?

Now he knew... the cream... can control death. The mastermind can kill students together at the sa ti and place to accumulate death energy.

Just the death energy wouldn’t an much, but... if a formation is involved, everything would change...

The formation had been activated.

Because of his experience, he imdiately recognized the signs. This amount of negative energy was not accidental. It was being harvested.

’A ghost portal...’

In ancient texts, it was clearly recorded that opening a ghost portal required a death formation.

A death formation demanded sacrifice.

When one hundred or more lives were extinguished within a designated boundary, the accumulated resentnt and death energy could tear open the veil between realms.

And once that portal opened... An army of ghosts would flood in.

To sustain it, there had to be a constant supply of death energy for at least half an hour.

Axel clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned pale.

He glanced at the principal Wayne and vice principal Bella, who were still fighting desperately alongside the teachers.

As a high-level mystical cultivator, he should have stayed to support them.

But compared to all of them... Lana mattered more.

He turned to Mr. Crow.

"Go to her. Now."

Mr. Crow nodded without hesitation and rushed off.

anwhile, Lana and Shelley continued fighting. Because of Lana’s earlier strike, the battle had shifted in their favor.

Tan was already unconscious, his chest rising faintly as blood stained his cloak.

Lana, however, felt hollow.

Her mystic energy had been nearly drained. Her limbs trembled, and her vision blurred at the edges.

’I cannot collapse now.’

She pulled out several interdiate-level restoration talismans.

As she activated them, warm energy flowed back into her ridians, restoring roughly thirty percent of her strength.

It was not much, but it was enough.
