Lana gave a gentle smile, seeing the petrified expression on Shelly’s face.

"Your expression is speaking volus about your lack of survival skills," She comnted, her soft voice carrying a strange calm.

"You are misunderstanding..." Shelly tried to defend herself but was interrupted.

"Tell , in the dead of night, if you suddenly hear the sound of glass crashing, and you are all alone in the house, what should you do?"

Lana’s sudden question caught Shelly off guard.

A hesitant glint flashed in Shelly’s eyes before she replied in an uncertainty-laced voice, "Check it out?"

"Bingo!" Lana snapped her finger. "That’s how people die in movies and real life."

Shelly: (;° ロ°)

"My solution? Lock the door, find a self-defense tool, and hide under your bed." Lana laughed. "If it is a robber, they would be unable to harm you."

"And what if... it is a ghost?" Shelly asked in confusion, clearly unwilling to back down.

"They will think you are sleeping. At most, they would do mischievous stuff like pulling your blankets away or levitating you in the air. Just keep your eyes closed and pretend to sleep." Lana advised like an old monk, her hand behind her back, and she nodded her head like she agreed with her own solution.

Shelly was truly speechless and bit her lips. "And what if the ghost attacks ?"

"Then pretend to faint." Lana shrugged. "Anyways, opening your eyes won’t do any good; better to fool it!"

Mr. Crow: (⇀‸↼) This is the future mystic cultivator

Shelly: (;-_-)What a unique girl.

Shelly’s eyes clashed with the beady black eyes of Mr. Crow, who just shook his head.

The silent condemnation in his eyes and the subtle action of flying away from Lana spoke volus about his disdain for Lana.

Lana focused on the task at hand. Waving a yellow talisman, Lana waited for it to strike the doll.

An exorcism talisman usually burns away any evil lingering in an object or a ghost. Partially, it had the power to cleanse. Though not as potent as Lana’s mystic energy, it still had so effect.

However, to Lana’s surprise, unlike other tis, the talisman didn’t rush toward the doll, and it swayed before dropping on the table.

Furrowing her brows, Lana tried to stick the talisman to the doll; however, the talisman’s paper only slid down, with no reaction.

"What the heck," Lana muttered.

"Just burn it. End of the story." Mr. Crow suggested, he was getting a bit impatient with Lana’s constant dragging nature.

Lana, however, ignored Mr. Crow’s constant nagging and instilled so of her mystic energy in the doll.

No response.

A brilliant idea appeared in her mind. Lana whistled, catching Mr. Crow by surprise.

"Don’t tell this doll is related to your white moonlight, or you have developed a crush on it!" Mr. Crow arched a brow curiously.

"Neither. Miss Shelly, can you give this doll to ? I am ready to pay." Lana proposed.

Though Shelly didn’t understand who Lana said ’neither’ to, she nodded. "Alright, you can take it away. I don’t want anything..."

Toward the end, Shelly froze as if rembering sothing and stared at Lana with a sheepish gaze. "Well... there is sothing I want from you. And if Miss Lana wants, I am ready to pay too."

Lana arched a brow. If Shelly was proposing money, whatever she was going to ask... definitely won’t be easy.

"Please say."

"The exorcism talisman. I want to buy them." Shelly whispered sheepishly.

When the exorcism was in full swing, Shelly had witnessed the explosive power of the talismans first, and to say she was impressed would be an understatent.

Those exorcism talismans capable of dealing with evil ghosts moved her heart, and the greed to possess one started to take root in her heart.

Lana arched a brow in astonishnt.

After making the exorcism talismans and knowing about their effects, she forgot about the temptation they might hold toward ordinary people or soul cultivators.

Though impressive at first glance, these talismans were only capable of dealing with a ghost possessing 1 year of cultivation.

Who would even want them?

Lana’s heart throbbed at the thought of selling so, but she restrained her greed and warned,

"They are effective only against ghosts possessing 1 year of cultivation; any more than that, it... It won’t be of use."

"I know. But if I am not wrong, these talismans can ward off ghosts or distract them for a re second, just enough ti for to run away or rescue soone." Shelly explained her thought process, though internally she was scared.

What a talisman! It was hard to co by!

Only those with connections can buy so! Especially exorcism talismans!

Now... she was asking to buy them from Lana... God knows what kind of connection Lana might have to get her hands on those talismans.

It was the outright shalessness of her to even propose to buy so.

"Then please pay as you deem right." Lana was nonchalant. With her constant practice and dedication to making talismans, she has already accumulated more than 2000 talismans.

Better to sell than to let it rot.

"Really?" Shelly couldn’t believe her ears and asked with disbelief. At the sa ti, her eyes remained fixated on Lana’s face.

If Lana showed even a hint of disapproval, she would take back her words.

Who was Lana? A student of Shadowridge University!

If that wasn’t enough, then her identity as a mystic cultivator added a layer of protection!

However, the calm nonchalance on Lana’s face cald Shelly’s restless heart.

"Yes." Even Lana’s tone was gentle.

"Then I will buy it for $100,000." Shelly stared at Lana attentively, and when Lana nodded with a neutral expression, Shelly’s heart cald down.

Such a good child!

"If you don’t mind, why not exchange contacts?" Shelly proposed that her voice was laced with delight.

"Sure." It was good to make a connection, and Lana shared her number.

After Shelly wired paynt to Lana’s phone, Lana left with the doll.

With a casual glance at the paynt-receiving ssage, Lana almost had the urge to turn back and question Shelly.
