A mont later, Prince of Karachi, his face haggard and his eyes filled with humiliation and resentnt, was "invited" into the tent by two Knights.
His magnificent robes had long been tattered in a previous battle, and all traces of his forr glory had vanished.
"Raylo."
Karachi’s voice was hoarse, tinged with suppressed fury.
"What tricks are you trying to pull now?"
Raylo ignored his question, simply tilting his head toward the Knights beside him.
"I suspect His Highness Prince still has so... personal items hidden on him. Search him again, thoroughly. If necessary, you can strip him of all his clothes."
"How dare you!"
Karachi’s expression twisted, and he began to struggle fiercely.
"I am the Crown Prince of the Fiery Sun Kingdom! You despicable..."
His curses were cut short by the Knights’ rough actions.
Two strong Knights forced him to the ground and began to strip his clothes off without ceremony.
When they ripped his shirt and started to pull off his underwear, he finally couldn’t take it anymore.
"In the sock... It’s in the sock."
He shouted in humiliation.
Sure enough, from a sock with a hole in it, a Ring giving off faint fluctuations of Magic Power rolled out.
One Knight carefully picked up the Ring, while the other, showing great presence of mind, brought over a basin of clean water.
After the Ring was carefully washed clean in the water, the Knight dried it with a clean linen cloth and respectfully presented it to Raylo.
Raylo took the Ring and sent his Spiritual Power into it.
The space inside the Ring was quite large, piled high with gold, silver, and jewels, Magic Materials, and all sorts of miscellaneous luxury goods—a dazzling array.
He gave it only a cursory glance before withdrawing his gaze and twirling the Ring between his fingers.
With his Treasure snatched away before his very eyes, Karachi looked absolutely livid. His chest heaved violently, his eyes bloodshot, as if about to spew fire.
Raylo, however, had no intention of sparing his feelings. He unhurriedly adjusted the angle of the Ring, then dropped a real bombshell.
"Prince of Karachi, I have so unfortunate news for you."
He raised his eyes, his gaze calm as he watched the other man.
"Just yesterday, your father, His Majesty the King of Fiery Sun, was the target of an assassination by the Abyssal Sect in the Royal City. The core of the Royal Palace was breached, and His Majesty the King himself... was gravely wounded. It is not known if he is alive or dead."
"You’re lying!"
Karachi leaped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on and roared.
"That’s a lie! A lie you fabricated to unnerve !"
"Is that so?"
Raylo said calmly.
"The Abyssal Sect’s Bishop, "Withered Hand" Sars, launched a blood sacrifice in the Royal City, summoning two Domain Level Magical Beasts. The Royal City Guard was caught completely off guard, and the entire Royal City is now under a complete lockdown. This news will spread across the entire Continent before long. I have no reason to lie to a captive."
