Raylo’s eye twitched, and he quickly called out to stop him.
Kado, eager to test it out, was just about to unleash the power of the Sub-Divine Artifact.
"Hm?"
Kado froze, looking at him in confusion.
Raylo pointed to the stone house, then to the cracks on the floor they had made.
"How about we test it outside? I’d rather not beco holess right after moving in."
Kado scratched the back of his head. It took him a mont to realize what Raylo ant. He chuckled, flashing a toothy grin.
With his own power, amplified by this artifact, the destructive force would be absolutely extraordinary.
’Sir only tested it for a mont, and the stone house nearly collapsed,’ Kado thought. ’If I were to go all out...’
"Co on, let’s go outside."
With that, Raylo led the way out of the stone house.
The two of them went outside, one after the other.
Their dwelling was located on the very edge of the Giant City-State, in an extrely secluded area.
Outside was a large, open area. More than a dozen boulders of varying sizes were scattered about the grounds, the largest of which were over ten ters high, like small hills.
These were the "toys" the Hill Giants used to train their Power.
The cool Moonlight spilled over the silent boulders, casting vast shadows across the ground.
Raylo gestured toward them.
"Go on, pick a sturdy one."
"You got it!"
Kado replied excitedly. He took great strides to the center of the open area and picked out the tallest, stoutest boulder.
He planted his feet before the boulder, took a deep breath, and slipped the Giant’s Grip onto his right hand.
Unlike Raylo, who needed to channel his Fighting Spirit, the mont Kado donned the glove, the power of his Hill Giant bloodline—that primal, imnse Giant’s Power within him—found an outlet and surged furiously toward the glove.
VMMMM!
The Giant’s Grip emitted a low hum as the Magic Patterns on its surface lit up one by one. The light was several tis more dazzling than it had been on Raylo’s hand, glowing like flowing lava and radiating a terrifying, heart-pounding aura.
Every rune on the glove seed to co alive, greedily devouring Kado’s Power, then amplifying and purifying it in so profound way before feeding it back to him.
An unprecedented sense of terrifying power instantly flooded Kado’s right arm and spread throughout his entire body.
"Whoa..."
Kado couldn’t help but gasp in amazent.
’This feeling is incredible!’
’It’s as if another has been cramd into my body!’
Power, endless Power, surged and roared through his muscle fibers.
He felt more powerful than he ever had before.
"Sir! Watch this!"
Kado let out an excited roar, planted his feet in a solid stance, and twisted at the waist, his body coiling like a giant bowstring drawn to its limit.
The muscles in his right arm bunched and veins bulged on his fist, which looked like a Giant Hamr ready to be unleashed.
"HRAAAGH!"
With the roar, Kado’s right fist tore through the air. Carrying an unstoppable, furious montum, it slamd squarely into the boulder, which stood over ten ters high.
A visible shockwave erupted from his fist, expanding in a violent ring.
The surface of the great rock, harder than steel and having endured the training of countless Giants, was instantly covered in a spiderweb of cracks.
CRACK... CRACKLE-CRACK...
The dense cracking sounds rged into a grating cacophony.
The next second.
BOOOOM!!!
The entire boulder, like a sandcastle in the surf, disintegrated in an instant!
Countless stone fragnts shot out in all directions, and a plu of dust rocketed into the sky.
When the dust settled slightly, all that remained was a massive crater and the ground littered with debris of all sizes.
The boulder, which had stood over ten ters tall, had completely vanished from the open area.
Standing in the distance, Raylo’s pupils contracted slightly.
’So this is... the pure physical destructive power a Domain Level Hill Giant can unleash with the help of a Sub-Divine Artifact?’
’It’s... simply monstrous.’
Kado stood there in a daze, slowly raising his right hand.
The light on the glove had dimd, returning to its simple, unadorned appearance, but the residual feeling of power still left his heart pounding.
He looked at his unscathed fist, then at the wreckage all around him. The expression on his face shifted from shock to elation, finally morphing into a kind of indescribable euphoria.
He whipped his head around to look at Raylo, so excited he was incoherent. His huge voice made the air buzz.
"Sir! I... I felt like I had the power of two Kados just now!"
Raylo looked at the enormous crater and the field of rubble, and the corner of his mouth couldn’t help but twitch.
He glanced sideways at the still-ecstatic Kado, whose giant hand was repeatedly clenching and unclenching as he relished the mory of that world-ending punch.
"Looks like we can contract all future demolition work in the Giant City-State out to you,"
Raylo said, half-joking.
"Heh heh, Sir, this thing is incredible!"
Kado grinned, his booming voice full of pure joy.
"I feel like I could throw a Javelin and poke a hole in the sky right now!"
Raylo just smiled without saying anything more, his mind already turning to another matter.
’The Hill Giant Race is simple yet powerful. They are invaluable allies and a trendous asset.’
’This Weapon deal was just the beginning.’
「Early the next morning.」
Raylo and Kado were still resting.
A Giant approached with heavy strides, carrying a mountain of materials on his shoulder.
It was a complete set of materials from a Tier Five Fla Demon Tiger. A scorching heat still radiated from the massive tiger pelt, and Fire Magic Power seed to still be flowing through its fur.
