After killing Nesis, Luke recycled the body.

A notification blinked across his vision.

[ You have obtained 2000 SP ]

Well, it makes sense—Nesis wasn't a mindless creature like Licker. This was a nearly perfect bioweapon. That much SP was justified.

"Then let's go," Luke muttered, turning away.

His boots crunched over the shattered asphalt, smoke curling from the crater. He stepped forward—

—and his foot was caught in a jagged crack.

"Tch—" He stumbled sideways, catching himself halfway. Annoying, but nothing serious.

Then—

WHOOSH!

A blur of motion ripped through the air, slicing so close that he felt the wind peel past his face.

Sothing wet slapped across his cheek.

Luke blinked. His eyes dropped instinctively—

—and froze.

SPLURT!

Blood sprayed across the ground in a violent arc. His left arm ended halfway below the elbow—his hand was simply gone.

A stump of torn muscle and shattered bone jutted out, blood gushing in short, rhythmic bursts, splattering across the cracked pavent.

For half a second, his mind refused to process it.

"Huh?" Luke's voice ca out small, distant. His brain lagged, refusing to catch up with his eyes.

Then pain hit.

A detonating pain that ripped through his body like wildfire.

His entire left side was convulsed, nerves screaming, muscles clenching so hard they nearly tore themselves apart.

"Ghh—ahhh—!"

He dropped to one knee, the world tilting. Blood poured between his fingers as he clamped down on the wound, but the slick warmth just kept pulsing out.

SPLAT—DRIP—DRIP—DRIP.

"Luke!" Selene's voice cut through the chaos.

In a blur of dark mist, she was at his side, still shadows trailing off her as she materialized beside him. One arm hooked tightly around his torso, steadying him before he could fall again.

Her eyes darted to his arm—then widened.

The wound was too clean, too sudden. She hadn't even seen the strike, and that alone made her worried.

"I'm fine," Luke gritted out.

He had endured pain before—broken bones, burns.

But this… this was different. Losing an entire arm wasn't sothing you could just power through.

The disorientation, the blood loss—it hit harder than any wound he'd taken before.

Selene's grip tightened as she helped him stay upright, scanning the ruined street with her other hand already on her gun.

Her instincts scread that whatever did this was still nearby.

Luke exhaled shakily, forcing his focus through the haze of pain.

His regeneration trait was already kicking in, slowing down the bleeding, but his regeneration wasn't fast enough to replace a missing limb. Not yet.

The real danger wasn't the wound—it was what caused it.

He replayed the mont in his head: a faint whine before the hit, then an afterimage of a black streak in the air. Not a projectile—sothing alive.

In the Resident Evil universe—at least in the early stages—nothing had that kind of speed. Not even the Lickers. Nothing he'd read about, or rembered could strike with that accuracy and force.

If Luke hadn't tripped… if the angle had been even slightly higher…

It wouldn't have been his arm lying sowhere on the ground.

It would've been his head.

Jill, Alice, and Peyton all raised their guns, eyes wide with disbelief.

The thought that sothing could move fast enough to sever one of Luke's limbs—soone who could shrug off explosions—sent a chill through them.

They swept through the ruins with their guns raised.

If it struck again… they wouldn't survive.

"Hehe… you're lucky you dodged that," a voice echoing from the shadows—smooth, mocking, dripping with confidence.

Luke and the others snapped their heads toward the sound.

A figure landed into view balanced effortlessly atop a crushed car, tal groaning beneath his weight.

At first, his shape seed human. Then the details ca into focus.

Grasshopper-like legs bent at impossible angles. Chitinous plates and jagged, uneven armor crawled across his body, glinting under the broken streetlights. His arms were grotesquely long, ending in razor-tipped claws.

And his face—human, disturbingly human—wore a grin so cruel it twisted the air around him.

In one clawed hand, dangling like a trophy, was Luke's severed arm.

"You…" Selene's voice dropped low, vibrating with fury.

Anyone would've snapped—especially after seeing their lover's blood dripping from so stranger's hand.

The monster just grinned wider, enjoying her rage.

Then—THOOM!

The ground erupted in black tendrils as massive jaws of shadow shot upward, snapping at him from below.

But the insectoid was fast. Too fast.

He launched skyward, his insect legs bending and springing like coiled tal. The jaws slamd shut beneath him—

CRUNCH!

The car below imploded into scrap, chewed by Selene's attack.

The creature landed atop another wreck with a heavy tallic clang, unscathed.

"Hahaha… now I want you even more," he sneered, his voice dripping with arrogance.

His human face twisted, eyes locking on Selene with disgusting intent. That look—hungry, possessive—reeked of perversion. He was filth that didn't deserve to breathe.

Alice, Jill, and Peyton opened fire instantly.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The air was filled with muzzle flashes, brass shells scattering. But the insect's armored shell deflected every shot.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Sparks scattered in all directions. He didn't even flinch—just crossed his massive arms and let the bullets bounce away.

"Hehehe… you two are here too?" he mocked, glancing at Alice and Jill with the sa repulsive grin. "Don't worry… I'll co for you soon enough."

Then he lifted Luke's severed arm high, fingers tightening around it like a trophy.

"But first… I'll take care of you."

Luke's brows furrowed, jaw tightening.

He didn't know what this freak was or why it had targeted him—but that didn't matter.

It attacked him. That was enough reason to end it.

But then… the thing spoke again.

"A world can't have two transmigrators."

The words hit like a gut punch. Luke froze, eyes widening in disbelief.

Transmigrator.

That wasn't sothing anyone in the world should know about.

He knew the plot—and knew he wasn't supposed to exist in it.

He was like him. Soone from Earth.

Soone who didn't belong here.

'Fuck… I'm not the only transmigrator.'

This wasn't just another fight.

It was a clash between two outsiders—

Transmigrator vs. Transmigrator.

*****

A/N: As you can see, our MC just encountered another transmigrator from Earth — soone like him.

Now, the question is… does this guy also have a system? And if he does — what kind?

Will our MC kill him… or will the enemy escape? 😏
