Now reading: Chapter 1193 - 852: The Intelligence Gap from Different Pers from Global Abyss: My Skills Can Enhance Infinitely, a Sci-fi novel by Wu Jiechao.

After chatting with Tao Yu for a bit, Deacon Jin started talking about the Star Killer’s identity.

The two had obviously crossed paths before; after all, it’s not unusual for catastrophe-level individuals to know each other when Newman has been running a martial arts school in the State Capital for years.

"Now that Curator Newman is with the Suns, he’s got the opportunity to really spread his wings. Our Wanhuo Chamber of Comrce has its advantages, but it’s indeed a bit outdated, unable to offer fresh conditions. Although the Suns might be a bit tiring, the opportunities are many."

As a wild catastrophe-level, Newman surely received olive branches from many quarters; besides the Bai Family, the Wanhuo Chamber of Comrce naturally extended theirs too.

Yet, just as Deacon Jin ntioned, while the Wanhuo Chamber of Comrce is a top-tier cross-state level force with over a dozen Saints, they do value every piece of catastrophe-level power; however, the benefits offered by a single entity are relatively lower, whereas so constraints might be even higher.

There are requirents that the Suns would not raise, yet the Wanhuo Chamber of Comrce would.

But it’s comfortable under the shade of a big tree, and with a rather elusive opportunity to beco a Saint, its allure far exceeds that of forces like the Suns.

"Closing the martial arts school was because I’m a bit tired; the Chamber here tempted as well, it’s just a pity that the constraints are a bit too much for my old bones."

The Star Killer sighed, his identity was unclear if he replaced soone after an assassination or if he was actually the original all along.

But with such a ’true identity’, most of the interaction was left to him, avoiding ’slip-ups’.

While chatting midway, Deacon Jin slapped his forehead as if rembering sothing, and said

"Oh, right, since you both are waiting for the print, there’s a private auction tonight, I wonder if you both are interested..."

——

Though Deacon Jin ntioned a private auction, the location was a forest castle in the Fourth Ring District.

Though the Fourth Ring District can’t compare with the Second Ring, such a large forest is enough for a disaster-level family to use as their core territory.

But in the hands of the Wanhuo Chamber of Comrce, it was rely the venue for a random small auction.

Just the external decorum of this single aspect already contributed to the atmosphere.

When Tao Yu and the Star Killer arrived, there were beautiful ushers specifically to guide them.

Walking on the soft carpet, breathing in the refreshing and subtle fragrance in the air, ’Teng Lianghong’ fully ’imrsing himself into the role’, asked the Star Killer

"Senior Newman, this is actually my first ti attending such a small auction, previously it was all settled via electronic auction."

The Star Killer nodded secretly at Tao Yu’s words, admiring how convincingly he played the part; then he pondered before speaking,

"I’ve attended a few, even so rare ones participated by Saints, where even Sacred Objects appeared in the best auctions."

"Sacred Objects?! What do they use for bidding? It can’t be Yuan Force, right?"

Tao Yu showed genuine interest, not because he wanted to bid for Sacred Objects, but because he could sell them.

Finding such a channel, selling prices should be better than discounted processing.

Could try when there’s ti.

"It certainly isn’t Yuan Force, or rather, large Yuan Force trades rarely occur in such private auctions unless a family lacks liquidity. Generally, a few transaction directions are proposed on-site, and each makes their offer; if no one can et the consignor’s requirents, then it’s canceled."

The Star Killer patiently explained; although it’s called an auction, it’s more like an underground trade fair.

"Moreover, Sacred Objects auctioned are usually those with significant pollution, side effects, or long-term refining by other families, it isn’t as good as it seems. Ultimately, Sacred Objects should align with oneself..."

At this point, the Star Killer was sowhat envious; though his strength was not weak, being considered a strong contender among the catastrophe level. If he had a Sacred Object aligning with himself, let alone becoming a Saint, reaching the Quasi-Saint level was attainable!

Unfortunately, despite having so foundation, guarding the Baixing State Assassin’s League, it wasn’t quite suitable for him.

Hearing these, Tao Yu also nodded knowingly.

Then, the Star Killer’s voice transmission reached his ears,

"It’s not bad for us to attend the auction like this; anonymity is possible here, but as catastrophe level, I think being open is equally good, to just reveal our presence."

"I also think it’s doable, drag for more ti, and allow the other side to prepare."

Tao Yu paused here and, sowhat heavily, said,

"But their next move might truly be capable of dealing with a catastrophe level with aligning Sacred Objects, we must ensure not to fail disastrously."

"Not much of a problem; Xuan Gui and I are under the protection of Sacred Intent; I also have so other ans. In the worst-case scenario, preserving our lives is manageable; as you said, we’re not here to determine life and death."

The Star Killer was quite confident in himself considering he reckoned he had the assurance to face that genius one-on-one!

Not to ntion having Xuan Gui’s backup secretly, even if a Quasi-Saint was dispatched, at worst it would be a matter of justifiable reasoning and warning them against using the Assassin’s League identity.

Without sufficient benefit relations, offending the na itself was already a risk; actually killing the three core mbers of the Assassin’s League would indeed completely tear the relationships apart.

The roots of the Assassin’s League were very deep.

After the two discussed once more, they arrived at the auction scene in the castle; after a slight sense, the number of people was roughly more than a hundred, making them appear scattered in the vast hall with plenty of room for movent, very spacious.
