The situation beca even more intense…

The sudden appearance of the Vampire Lord in their midst had completely disrupted their plans. This Vampire didn't even give a warning like the Zombie Lords of the mainland.

There was no system notification warning them that they had entered its territory!

At this ti, Vampire Lord, who was imdiately bombarded by nurous attacks from all sides remained standing still. He was cloaked in blood, radiating a suffocating aura.

Shane staggered, clutching his chest with blood pouring from the gaping wound.

For the first ti, the Rank 1 Survivor looked mortal.

His vision blurred. He felt his vitality draining and his body collapsing.

Then, he saw the warning from the system… Indeed, it was the System's reminder of his Talent!

[ False Revival Talent (Epic) ] When a Survivor dies, they are not imdiately lost to the void. Instead, they enter a temporary state of revival lasting 10 seconds. During this ti, the Survivor must claim the life of another Survivor by any ans.

If successful, the Survivor's own life is restored.

Failure to secure a life within the ti limit results in permanent death. ]

Shane didn't really wish to ever use this Talent, but thankfully, he had this one all this ti.

[ False Revival Talent Activated ]

[ 10 seconds remaining. Claim another life to revive. ]

Shane's eyes snapped open. He couldn't die here. Not now.

He whispered, "Shadow Step."

[ Shadow Step Lv5 Activated ]

His body dissolved into shadow, blinking five ters instantly. Thanks to it having no cooldowns and only draining a lot of Spirit Points, he soon reappeared behind one of the Fort's guards.

This was a man already bitten by a zombie, his veins had already blackened, and his eyes were turning red. He was barely holding on, probably due to his high vitality and level…

However, the infection had nearly consud him.

Shane's blade flashed.

The strike was rcifully quick. The guard gasped once, then fell.

His life was claid.

[ False Revival Complete. Vitality Restored. ]

"Whew~"

Shane's wound sealed, his body surged with renewed strength, and he stood tall once more, though he really felt nervous just now…

Then, he looked down at the fallen man.

"I'm sorry… You were already turning, but I still shortened your life. Forgive ." Shane said as he really cut the man's life short. He would probably be able to endure for 10 minutes more.

In any case, there was no ti for grief.

The Vampire Lord was ahead. For so reason, he was untouched by the bombs Tundra had thrown… He was also unaffected by the bullets as they passed harmlessly through his blood‑ford body.

"Protect Shane!"

Tundra roared…

His muscles were bulging as he hurled another explosive. He was still unaware of the fact that he had recovered.

Nonetheless, Shane watched as Tundra's attack created a huge blast that shook the ramparts. However, the Vampire Lord walked through the flas unscathed.

Pascal and the militia fired volley after volley, but the bullets dissolved into mist.

Garron charged with his axe, only to be repelled by a wave of crimson aura.

The Vampire Lord laughed and looked at the useless attacks coming at him…

"Your weapons are toys. None of you can harm ." The Vampire Lord said with a hint mockery in his voice.

Shane frowned.

There was no way that this Vampire Lord could be this strong. There must be a trick to it…

It just didn't make any sense.

Do they really need the sun? Did he possess so kind of artifact that negates the effect of silver bullets?

After considering all of this, he stepped forward…

Finally, Tundra and the others realized that he had recovered through unknown reason.

They had no idea how he did it but that didn't matter now…

"I'll fight you myself. Tundra… Pascal… You all focus on protecting the wall." He muttered.

"No!" Pascal shouted. "Nika is gone! We're going to take our revenge!"

But Shane shook his head. "He's on a different league. If we waste our strength, we'll all die. I'll leave the horde to you. I'll face him."

The defenders hesitated, torn between grief and fear.

But Shane soon showed what he was capable of…

He activated his skills in rapid succession.

[ Aura Suppression Activated ]

It was a wave of energy that rippled outward, weakening the Vampire Lord's buffs, reducing his combat effectiveness.

At the sa ti, he attacked!

[ Soul Rend Activated ]

Shane's strike bypassed physical defenses, targeting the Vampire Lord's spirit!

Indeed, since the Vampire Lord wasn't affected by any form of physical attacks, he might as well target its Spirit!

The aura was triggered as the attack dealt spirit damage, reducing regeneration!

"You're not getting away this ti. That's the last chance you have to kill …" Shane muttered as he triggered another Survivor Skill.

[ Spirit Shackles Activated ]

Soon, spectral chains appeared, binding the Vampire Lord, slowing his movents, draining his energy!

This may not be that effective against a Lord-Tier Vampire, but it would surely weaken his defenses.

As soon as they saw Shane's series of attacks, they imdiately knew that he was getting serious.

With that in mind, only a few people decided to stay to assist Shane in case necessary, while the others focused on defending the walls.

After all, if it were breached, it would be a huge disaster.

After feeling his spirit weakened and noticing that his movents were restricted, the Vampire Lord snarled. "You dare bind ?"

Even weakened, he was formidable. He tore at the shackles forcefully by disintegrating himself! Then, his body reford from blood mist.

Shane gritted his teeth. "That trick again…"

He reached into his inventory.

[ Item Retrieved: Sylph's Whisper (Mythic) ]

This was one of his most powerful Mythic Items that ca from the Fairy Realm's Apocalypse!

There was no Mana in the battlefield so Shane took out a few chunks of Mana Crystals and threw them around him.

It didn't matter if they were on the ground, as it was enough for his bow to sense them and draw their energy!

With elven craftsmanship, this bow may look like for a decoration with its design but it was a weapon that could kill even the Vampire Lord!

He had seen that before!

Soon, the bow generated its own arrows infused with elental energy, guided by Shane's intent.

He drew the string and his eyes locked on the Vampire Lord.

"Fire." He muttered.

Soon, the mana arrow he ford was filled with elental fla.

"Die… "

Shane released.

Whoosh!

The arrow streaked across the battlefield, guided by mana.

It struck the Vampire Lord squarely in the chest!

Thud!

After being hit, the Vampire Lord recoiled.

Indeed! The arrow didn't pass through its body! His crimson aura seed to be wavering as his body shuddered.

The Vampire Lord was shocked. He didn't expect that there would be a weapon that could endure him here…

"This… weapon… Mana? How is there so much mana here?!"

Indeed, he had barely felt the existence of mana within the Fort. The Vampire Lord thought that no one could threaten him because of it.

However, it was definitely a trap!

"You!"

Shane didn't listen to what he was saying as fired again.

Another arrow of fire pierced the Vampire Lord's form, burning through the blood mist.

Needless to say, the flas clung, refusing to dissipate!

It was an elental fire after all!

The Vampire Lord frowned…

"I knew it… Those people with a little amount of mana… They're elves. How did a mortal obtain such power to control them?"

Shane frowned as he heard the Vampire's words. He just realized that this guy knew the existence of Elves, which he shouldn't have.

After all, elves were from a different Apocalypse! T

here shouldn't be Elves in the Vampire's Rise Apocalypse!

However, it seed that there was more to this event than what he knew.

Still, he had to kill this Vampire Lord now… Questioning this creature would just be a waste of ti!

"Let's just hope you drop so kind of mory Sphere…" Shane muttered.

Just like that, he fired again, and again. Each arrow was on point, guided by the bow's enchantnts. Fire consud the Vampire Lord's aura, forcing him to retreat a step.

The defenders who glanced at the battle watched in awe.

"He's hurting him!" Garron shouted.

"Shane's arrows… they're burning through!" Pascal gasped.

Tundra grinned… He had just suppressed the enemies on the wall and decided to help Shane once more…

"Then let's keep him busy!"

The battle continued!

Super Soldiers pressed the horde, Warden Units cut down vampires, enhanced warriors fought with draconic essence as they all focused on the lesser enemies, leaving Shane to duel the Vampire Lord with only minimal support…

Soon, the Vampire Lord's eyes blazed with fury. He was actually trying to get close to Shane, but he was being suppressed by his Stormlord Brand!

It was a skill Shane had obtained through a Tattoo Mark!

"You!"

The reason he targeted Shane first was actually due to his instincts… It told him that Shane was the most threatening opponent, so he had used a lot of his Blood Essence to control Nika to launch an ambush…

"If I know you can revive yourself… I would've taken control of your body instead…"

The Vampire Lord could only curse this ti. However, he wasn't out of options just yet!
