anwhile, as Shane and his extensive entourage approached the estate, the murmur of flowing water greeted them—it was the confirmation that Shane needed.
"Mhmm… I wonder how they reacted." Shane muttered as he knew that the residents must've been surprised that their dried-up canal was suddenly followed with water.
The elves also smiled after noticing this change in the state.
With their team's efforts, they indeed cleared up the once-blocked waterway leading to their territory...
Shane glanced at his team once again…
"Good job, everyone…" He said.
The five elves, with their serene deanor, the stoic warlord, and the contemplative monk, smiled and they could tell that Shane was genuinely happy this ti.
Lyra and Jaxon, the mbers of Eclipse Revenant and newcors to this sanctuary, felt a surge of excitent as they heard the running water. It confird their intuition that Shane's land was filled with resources.
Nonetheless, the surprise wasn't over yet.
Their eyes widened as the estate ca into view, its formidable four-ter palisade standing like a sentinel. A couple of sturdy watchtowers lood ahead, and vigilant guards were scanning the horizon.
"Hey… Is that a machine gun?" Lyra whispered as she saw one of the watchtowers had an arranged machine gun!
"That's true… Not just that… I can tell that the place is filled with traps." Jaxon muttered.
There were traps that could be easily seen, and they were certain that those were for zombies… If there were hidden traps, those were most likely ant for other people.
It was clear that safety here was not left to chance.
As they neared the gate, a signal was sent to the watchtower, and with a creaking of heavy wood and iron, the entrance yawned open.
However, Jaxon didn't, with a higher perception than Lyra, notice sothing else as he jolted.
"What was that?" He muttered.
Lyra was confused, but Shane, who had noticed his reaction, smiled and explained.
"Don't mind it. It's the barrier that has to be lifted for a mont so we can enter." Shane explained…
Jaxon's eyes lit up after hearing this.
"So that was a barrier!"
This barrier added security in the small fortress they made, and it also gave a peace of mind to everyone! The two didn't expect that he would have such a highly advanced equipnt!
"Ahh! Is that the Bio-Barrier Generator you bought in the auction?" Lyra asked, recalling one of the items that Shadow Strider purchased for 1,000 Points.
Although she couldn't purchase it as well in the event, she had no specific territory to place it, and there were other items she had to buy at that ti.
"It's not that… However, that barrier is also active since it protects us from virus or poison that travels through the air." Shane replied.
Lyra and Jaxon then turned their attention to the gate that had just opened.
What awaited them was a sight both imposing and reassuring—two towering figures, Super Soldiers, ard with massive tal bats that glead in the sunlight.
The existence of the Super Soldiers was already ntioned to them by Shane. However, they were still quite nervous seeing such intimidating humans waiting for them at the gate.
Nonetheless, their presence as an ally would surely put them at ease while sleeping at night.
"So they're the Super Soldiers you ntioned, Shane." Lyra muttered as she observed the Super Soldiers.
These were Shane's vanguards, the first line of defense, and they knew that there were still four of these soldiers in the estate.
"Yes… They're very reliable. If you want to train your combat skills, you can ask them to train you if they're not busy." Shane comnted.
Lyra and Jaxon exchanged a glance, their initial apprehension giving way to admiration.
As they saw the estate, they realized that it was a place not just of refuge but of order and might!
"I hope Raze and the others would hurry here." Lyra muttered.
"That would be great… We will start doing Clan Missions when that happens." Jaxon replied.
As they entered the estate, they were soon welcod by a man wearing a familiar uniform of a butler.
Mr. Wadsworth, the epito of grace and efficiency within the estate, greeted the returning group with a nod and a subtle smile.
"Welco back, Master Shane, and esteed guests…" he said, his voice smooth as silk.
Shane, dusting off the remnants of the journey, introduced Lyra and Jaxon.
"This is Lyra and Jaxon… These two are Foreign Survivors like . Right, we made the Eclipse Revenant Clan, and they'll be staying here…" he explained, gesturing towards them with a welcoming hand.
"Mr. Wadsworth, could you coordinate with Eliot to prepare living quarters?"
Shane asked, but he paused for a mont as he recalled sothing…
"We'll need space for more, probably about thirty…but let's start with accommodations for these two. Prioritize Lyra and Jaxon for now…" Shane instructed, his mind already racing ahead to the myriad tasks at hand.
"Of course, sir," Mr. Wadsworth replied, his mind cataloging the necessary arrangents. "I shall see to it imdiately."
Shane nodded, satisfied.
The reason he was not using the other Recruitnt Stones yet was simple—he must ensure their resources could sustain their growth.
Food, shelter, and basic anities… all must be in place before he expands further…
With the matter settled, Shane excused himself to find Alexa.
He presented her with the Unknown at he looted a while ago.
This safe at that was dropped by the Zombies may be questionable in many ways but as long as it was safe to eat, it was not a big deal for them…
"Please make us a good al today… If I find sothing you need in the Survivor Store, I'll give it to you…" Shane said.
Alexa accepted the at with a gleam in her eye. "I'll make sure this goes to good use… If you find better clothes or maybe a chef's uniform, that would be great..." Alexa replied while already pondering what kind of al she'd make with the at.
