Captain Wei and his group breathed a sigh of relief as they finally passed through the Spitter Zombie-infested area.
The acidic threat was behind them, and they were ready to continue their journey.
On the other hand, Shane was already observing the figures of the other survivors who were slowly encircling them. Well, with his more than 150 points of Perception, there was no way he would miss these people who weren't using so sort of device to hide their presence.
They were purely relying on the obstacles blocking their sight in order to hide.
Anyway, they were all wearing a SWAT Uniform they had recently obtained, so it was quite obvious that they were Foreign Survivors like him.
As Captain Wei moved forward, the group of people who seed to have bad intentions slowly showed. Soon, they were trapped by 23 mbers of the Mystic Mirage Clan.
Their only escape was to head back to the Spitter Zombie-infested area.
"Passing through our hunting ground's area without our permission isn't good, you know?" Their leader, a tall man with blond hair and a commanding presence, spoke to the group.
Then, the Mystic Mirage mbers, clad in their distinctive SWAT uniforms, ford an arc around Shane's group.
"We don't know that you own this place…" Captain Wei said as he frowned. He didn't like where this was going.
The leader of the Mystic Mirage squad ignored Captain Wei's words as he noticed one of his subordinates rushing at him and whispered sothing…
The man's eyes then turned cold as he heard the report of his subordinate! Apparently, they could no longer contact the squad who should be killing the Spitter Zombies!
They had already disappeared from the Clan mbers list, and those who were Friends on them also confird that they were no longer there!
These people had probably left the clan and removed their Friends from the Friend List, or they were actually dead!
The leader believed that it was the latter since there was no way those group of people would dare to leave their clan!
He then stepped forward and looked at Shane's group. This ti, his eyes were already blazing with anger. "You! Drop all your weapons now! How dare you attack our mbers?" he demanded, his voice carrying a Spiritual Force, making it evident that he used a skill, similar to Shane's Titan's Roar but a lot weaker.
This ti, Captain Wei stepped forward, his hands raised in a placating gesture. He realized that they had misunderstood sothing.
"No… We didn't do anything to your friends. We just passed through the area," he tried to explain.
But the Mystic Mirage mbers were not willing to listen. "Shut up! If you don't want to drop your weapons, then try to survive against us!" the leader shouted, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.
At this ti, Shane also noticed that they were pulling out their blades, and a few of them had drawn their revolvers. To be exact, there were three enemies with firearms, while the rest of them carried lee weapons.
The tension in the air grew as the leader raised his hand, ready to command his team to attack.
At this ti, Shane knew that a fight was inevitable. No matter what they say, it is no longer important. After all, he could also see the greed in their eyes. They wanted to loot them!
'But are they not afraid of Bao? He's literally carrying a Mini Gun? Why are they so confident?' Shane couldn't help but feel confused. After all, that Mini Gun would surely intimidate a normal group of Survivors.
It seed that they had sothing that they were relying on…
As expected, Cloud suddenly sent an alarm, informing him about the presence of snakes! These snakes burrowed underground, so he did not notice them at all!
As soon as they appeared, they targeted Bao and paralyzed him! The Minigun was no longer usable! Lysandra acted swiftly and tried to kill the snakes, but from the four snakes, she was only able to kill two of them before they retreated to the ground.

Thankfully, as the mbers of the Mystic Mirage got the signal to attack, Shane was able to act quickly! Without hesitation, he activated his repaired Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret!
He had spent 75 Reputation Points to fix it the previous night, and now it was ready for action.
The turret buzzed to life, its sensors locking onto the Mystic Mirage mbers.
"What?!"
"A turret!"
"The Illusion! Hurry! Use our Clan's Skill!"
Apparently, the enemy clan was not to be underestimated.
They activated their Clan Skill, creating a series of illusions that distorted the battlefield. The illusions made it difficult to distinguish friend from foe, and Shane's group found themselves disoriented.
Their Clan Skill seed a lot better than their Eclipse Revenant's Clan Skill. Anyway, Shane had no ti to feel impressed as he knew how to solve this issue.
"Stay close and watch each other's backs!" Captain Wei shouted as he notified i to heal Bao quickly.
At this ti, Shane's A.I. Assistant, Cloud, was unaffected by the illusions.
[ Targeting enemies… ] Cloud announced, and the turret began firing even though their vision was still being confused by the illusion!
The automated turret's bullets tore through the illusions, striking the real enemies hidden within. i, who was about to get beheaded by one of the enemies, was imdiately saved by a barrage of energy bullets fired behind her!
The Illusion was still in effect, so Captain Wei and the others couldn't help at this ti.
In the end, they decided to just shoot with their guns everywhere to intimidate the enemies! Shane also decided to wield the M134 Minigun and unleashed a hail of bullets where Cloud pointed him to shoot. Soon, his weapon's roar drowned out the shouts and screams of the Mystic Mirage mbers!
