"Let's finish this…" Shane muttered as he protected himself with his Aura Sentinel from the Sonic Waves coming from the Screar Zombies.
Since the Overdrive was already triggered, it was just a matter of ti before he could win this level.

Soon, the Turret unleashed a devastating combination of energy bullets and incendiary bombs, and its targeting system didn't even miss any of the fast-moving Screar Zombies, so it shot all of them!

Shane took a deep breath and waited for the next level as the system reset the arena.
Shane had barely collected his silver and checked his inventory when he confird that the battle was about to start once again.
Shane waited for his opponent at the center of the area with only about 5 seconds left for them to appear.

Erging from the fog-shrouded edges of the battlefield were five Siren Zombies… They have ghastly appearances that are more unnerving than any enemy Shane has faced so far.
Each Siren Zombie had an outrageous, humanoid body with elongated limbs. Their heads were twisted amalgamations of a human face and a siren-like structure, with hollow, gaping mouths.

"Veiled Steps…" Shane whispered as he activated the skill. Instantly, his body started fading out, becoming partially translucent as he darted to the side, evading the first sonic blast.

Nonetheless, the shriek they released left a trail of destruction, tearing through the ground where he had been standing monts ago.
'Tsk… This looks dangerous. My Aura Sentinel may fail to block that kind of attack from a close range.' Shane thought.
Then, from the safety of his Veiled Steps, Shane activated Spectral Tracker, his vision shifted to highlight the faint ethereal glow of the Siren Zombies' weak points.
It must be rembered that the Spectral Tracker was a fusion of Enhanced Senses, Phantom Sprint, and Triple-Enhanced Vision.
Because of this combination, Shane could sohow see the weakness of his targets!
He was able to see the weakness in their heads and exposed chest cavities. They were glowing faintly, showing where he needed to strike.
'Ohhh… It seems that they can't just use that sound-based attacks repeatedly.' Shane thought as he realized that they might have stronger sound-based attacks, but they have longer cooldown as well.
Perhaps, even longer than the Screar Zombies.
The first Siren Zombie dashed forward with surprising speed… If he was disoriented just now, he would surely fail to dodge the claws slashing toward him.

Shane activated his Five-ter Jump, propelling himself high into the air, sorsaulting over the creature, and bringing the Light Flablade down with a burning arc!

As the two Siren Zombies closed in, Shane activated Shadow Hunt, vanishing montarily into the darkness and reappearing behind one of his attackers.

This incredible attack severed the legs of one Siren while slicing deep into the torso of the other. Well, the Siren Zombies were too tall, and slicing their necks would take a few more seconds…

The remaining three Sirens then surrounded Shane as their screeches combined together into a devastating wave of sound.

Shane felt his ears ringing and his vision blurring as he struggled to keep his balance.
'This… Not good…' Shane was alard as he didn't expect that his Safety Token failed to last even for a second. He didn't have the ti to activate his Aura Sentinel again!
'Shit…' As Shane wanted to use his Armored Dash to escape their encirclent, he suddenly heard his Automated Turret's gun barrels moving!
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Suddenly, Energy Bullets started firing, aiming at the Siren Zombies! The energy bullets may not have strong penetration power and could only burn the skin of the Siren Zombies, but it was enough distraction!
Shane had the ti he needed to recover! Instead of activating his Armored Dash, he changed his mind.
Gritting his teeth, he activated his Adrenaline Surge instead! The rush of energy flooded his system and sharpened his focus once again.

The last two Sirens, who had just used their abilities, could only attack with their ferocious hands!
Shane narrowed his eyes as he focused on their movents. They were actually very fast, but thanks to the Adrenaline Surge, he was able to follow their movents easily and prepare his next move.

The blade exploded with fiery energy and destroyed the head of the Siren Zombie!

Shane stood amidst the carnage, his chest heaving as he sheathed his Flablade.
He then wiped the sweat from his brow as he really felt that battle was too dangerous. Fighting against Zombies with invisible attacks was simply too hard!
'I wonder how many Survivors could actually win against that.' Shane thought to himself.
Anyway, knowing that the Fast Regeneration of his Aura Sentinel wouldn't be enough to allow him to fully recover, Shane imdiately opened his System Inventory to get himself healed faster.
Shane imdiately saw the potions he purchased from Hidden Patrol in the Marketplace…
They were Basic Health Potions that provide 50 Vitality Points instantly… These potions were considered inexpensive, so Shane doesn't mind using them for now.
Aside from that, he also consud a few Enhanced Spirit Recovery Pills. Since he wasn't sure how long he would be here, he planned to save as many Spirit Stones as he could.
'The battles are also getting a lot harder… I should start using so boosting items with . Shane thought for a mont as he considered using his Berserker's Elixir or even the Dragon's Veil Elixir… However, as he was browsing his inventory, he noticed so other items he could use for this stage.
