Five years later, the Fairy Queen herself approached Shane with a solemn look on her face… This was after she learned that Shane was planning to return to the past.
After so consideration, she talked about killing her first saying that it was for the sake of the realm itself.
"You have to kill … before going back." She said.
As Shane recalled the mories, he finally realized how he ended up clearing this Apocalypse after so many years. It seed that it was inevitable.
Apparently, the queen explained that the longer the realms remained rged, the more unstable they would beco. If sothing happened to her, Shane might not have a chance to clear the Apocalypse.
She actually knew that the system was designed to push its participants toward a climactic end. If Shane did not act, the apocalypse would never truly end, and the higher beings would eventually intervene, obliterating everything.
After saying this much, Shane reluctantly agreed. However, he didn't do it imdiately as he made a lot of preparations.
To be exact, even the Queen had to prepare a lot of things on her side.
Furthermore, she actually didn't stop imparting knowledge to Shane.
The Queen continuously taught him forbidden techniques, ancient spells, various things related to their realm, and even bits of knowledge related to the gods of the higher realms. However, the knowledge ca with a cost.
She warned Shane that his human mind, no matter how strong, could not bear the weight of such imnse knowledge and power if he returned to the past which was a weak version of himself.
Indeed, Shane's past body would certainly be very weak.
He risked losing his sanity or, worse, his soul.
To protect him, they devised a plan to seal his mories and abilities, allowing him to reclaim them gradually in his past life.
And, to Shane's surprise, the system that had been silent for so many years triggered a quest to seal his mories!
'No wonder the system even rewarded with so changes in my body like the Nano Restoration… It wasn't sothing that could be obtained just by regaining mories. So it was really acknowledged by the system, huh…' Shane mused to himself as so questions in his mind were finally answered.
Then, with Shane, A.I. Cloud, and the Queen working together, Shane started to seal a few of his mories to try it first. Then, he planned to seal the rest of his mories once he killed the Queen.
The day of his mission to kill the Queen finally arrived.
The Queen did not resist as Shane killed her with his blade so swiftly without letting her feel any pain...
Needless to say, Shane would not be able to do this so easily unless the Fairy Queen dropped her defenses. After all, if the Fairy Queen resisted, there was no way his Mythic Grade blade would be able to easily pass through. At the very least, it would take him a dozen strikes to break her defense.
"We will et again…" Shane muttered as she watched her body dissolve into pure light… Just like a true fairy, her essence rged with the world one last ti.
After this Shane also received a familiar ssage. It was quite similar to the one he received before.
[ Achievent Recognized ]
[ You have successfully cleared the Fairy Realm Apocalypse. ]
The text shimred briefly before expanding into a more detailed ssage.
[ Reward Unlocked: Opportunity to Ascend to the Higher Realm. ]
[ Due to the nature of the apocalypse's conclusion, your ascension ranking has been evaluated. ]
[ Final Ranking: Squire-Class ]
"What the… It's worse than the A.I. Rebellion's result?!" Shane couldn't help but explain upon seeing the final ranking.
At the last apocalypse, he at least gained Knight-Class Ranking!
However, he was only a squire here! Needless to say, the next item rewards would definitely not be as good as the previous one.
[ Squire-Class Rewards Include:
-Squire's Veil: A minor defensive artifact that grants limited protection against basic magical attacks.
-Frosted Iron Dagger: A low-tier weapon imbued with cold energy, capable of slowing enemies with minor frost damage.
-Novice Aura Core: Boosts physical strength and energy reserves by 15%.]
Of course, these items were still precious objects that could be used in the higher realm. However, Shane was expecting sothing more.
[ Ascension to the Higher Realm grants access to new resources, and opportunities. Your rank will determine your standing upon entry. This is a one-ti offer. Decline, and you forfeit ascension. ]
Shane read this and also saw the question of whether he wanted to accept the ascension or decline it.
Shane sighed and decided not to accept it.
Instead, he proceeded with the sealing of his mories so he could safely go back to the past.
After that, Shane turned to Cloud, his ever-faithful A.I. companion, and provided him with a series of instructions. Especially about the vampire, which could ss up the whole situation in the Apocalypse.
Then, using the Aevum's Bind, the bracelet gifted to him by his grandfather, Shane initiated the process of regression.
With the system's acknowledgnt and help, he was ensured that the bracelet would carry not just his soul but also so of his titles, talents, and even the mory spheres to be sent to his inventory.
Though it was a pity he couldn't bring his imnse wealth, he knew that he'd be able to obtain more once he returned to the past and obtained all the mories he needed.
Cloud, programd to remain with him across ti, received detailed instructions. Shane trusted that Cloud would assist him as he regained his mories and strength.
As the mysterious item took effect, Shane felt his mind fracturing, his mories fragnting into countless shards…
Shane opened his eyes, now fully aware of his situation. The final mory sphere had unlocked the truth of his past…
"I'm the protagonist… No doubt about that." Shane muttered to himself as he soon received several ssages from the system about the Survivor Skills that were returning to him.
After this, Shane received the next series of notifications.
[ The Awakening ]

Shane nodded after seeing this. Thankfully, the Soulbound Items he had were back!
Since he stayed a lot longer in the Fairly Realm and had a better connection with strong existences there, he had more items to bring back!
He was more excited about these items returning to him!

These items were integral to his survival during the Fairy Realm Invasion Apocalypse, artifacts he relied on to protect himself, and gifts given to him during the ti of peace.
"Back with again," Shane murmured, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
As his gaze settled on the pendant and the bow in particular, mories of standing shoulder to shoulder with the elves and mystical races against the overwhelming tide of Vampires filled his mind.
'It would be great if I could kill Statham with these items.' Shane said as he felt that the Fairy Queen, who never revealed her na, would be happy if he managed to kill him.
[ All items have been fully restored and are bound to your soul. They cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed. ]
Shane smiled seeing this as he felt that it was ti to end this Zombie Apocalypse. He wasn't exactly sure how to end it but he believed that the answer would be in Sector 20.
