Anna knew that the device that Shane created would not be wrong. Once against, she lifted her scanner again, running it along the man's arm.
The device let out a sharp beep.
Once again, bright red letters flashed across its screen.
[ Viral Contamination Detected ]
It was followed by silence.
Anna's expression turned deadly serious as she looked at her assistants and the hired security personnel or Eclipse Guards stationed at the tents.
"He's infected."
Imdiately, guns were drawn.
Two Eclipse Guards stepped forward, rifles aid directly at the man's chest.
The group from Harden Shelter was obviously scared as soon as they saw the gun being drawn… So backed away in shock while the others looked ready to protest.
It seed that they couldn't accept the diagnosis that was made just now.
One woman—possibly his sister—grabbed his arm.
"No! There's no way! He's fine! We've been traveling together this whole ti! If he's infected, he should've turned into one already… That injury in his arm was made three days ago already!"
The infected man was also obviously in panic after seeing guns pointed at him. He stumbled backward, while his hands raised.

His breathing turned irregular and his fingers started twitching uncontrollably. Anna quickly injected sothing into the man…
The guards were holding their guns and waited for Anna's instruction.
After a few seconds, the man was still twitching…
Anna cursed as she stepped back. If it didn't work, she had no choice but to put him down…
Thankfully, the man soon cald down although his body was already on the verge of transformation.
"Quarantine him. Now."
She couldn't just order to kill soone but she could order her guards to restrain or quarantine soone as a doctor. Shane also wanted to contain so Survivor-Type Zombies, so it was better to restrain infected people for now.
Soon, three Super Soldiers ca and quickly suppressed the infected man
After being detained, he was escorted to a secure quarantine chamber. It was a reinforced steel room with airtight seals located in the dical sector.
Anna and her team monitored his vitals, trying to determine if it was truly the Zombie Virus or if so other unknown mutation was at play.
anwhile, the screening continued.
One by one, the remaining travelers from Harden Shelter stepped forward, sleeves rolled up, and were thoroughly checked by other doctors or nurses... Fortunately, no one else showed signs of infection.
Of course, everyone was relieved after realizing that no one else was affected. As for the relative of the man just now, she could only cry on the side as there was nothing she could do to save her sibling.

Unfortunately, the dicine that Anna injected seed to be incapable of curing the man.
Inside the quarantine chamber, the infected man's condition rapidly deteriorated.
His body convulsed violently. Then, his veins turned black, and starting from his chest, it crawled up to his arms and soon, all over his body!
This was witnessed by a couple of guards monitoring his condition…
As soon as this happened, they imdiately reported the situation to Captain Flint.
Then, after a few monts, the infected man started screaming.
It was like an inhuman shriek that pierced through the walls of the dical sector.
Of course, the crowd outside froze as soon as they heard this. It was unexpected after all.
Then, a mont later, the steel door where it was confined bulged outward.
BANG!
A single dent ford on the thick tal surface.

Another.
Then—
BOOOOM!
The door exploded outward, crashing onto the ground like a battering ram.
Just like that, a massive, monstrous figure stepped into the open. Furthermore, its body was still pulsating as if the transformation wasn't over just yet!
Nonetheless, his arms had already elongated. It also had its muscles inflated like that of Tyrant Zombies. However, what made everyone scared of it was its mouth that had split open, revealing rows of teeth similar to sharks!
"We-we're not in trouble, right?"
"Right, Sir Shenlong is over there watching us! We should be fine."
"That's true… This matter must not be a big deal. Look at the people in the watchtowers, they were waiting for sothing."
"I guess this isn't a huge threat to the shelter."
"Still, this is actually quite scary."
"Trust the Lord of this Shelter! We will not be hard!"
Everyone believed in Shane and it certainly brought a smile to Shane's face after hearing this.
Anyway, from a distance, he observed the previously infected man who had now beco a monstrous abomination.
With a signal, the Super Soldiers made their moves.
"Don't kill it." Shane ordered.
Seeing their calm attitude, the crowd felt relieved. There was no panic.
No one fled in terror.
This was the Eclipse Domain!
The mont the monster roared, three Super Soldiers moved as one.
They were all wearing a set of Epic Armor. They could probably deal with Giant Zombies at this point.
Furthermore, each of them wielded an advanced weapon!
One of the Super Soldier charged forward with a high-density alloy shield and a modified shock baton. He slamd his shield into the monster's torso, forcing it back.
The creature staggered—but it was not enough.
With a screech, the monster attacked with its mutated claw, aiming for the Super Soldier's head.
However, before it could connect, the Super Soldier was able to hit his target! His shock baton struck its torso!
BZZZT!
It didn't end there, a whip-like energy chain lashed out, wrapping around the creature's arm!
This was another weapon from Shane's Reputation Store!
Anyway, the whip was called Tesla Chains—a weapon that could bind and electrocute targets in an instant. It was also an Epic Grade item that Shane had given to them, especially for capturing targets instead of killing them.
After all, Vernon, the Elves, and the others in the watchtowers had powerful rifles and bows at the mont.
Shane was worried that the creature would die if they tried to suppress it with their ammunition.
With this in mind, Shane decided to let the Super Soldiers use the electric items since Flathrowers and Battleaxes, their main weapons, may kill this creature as well.
The creature was obviously strong as it tried to struggle free despite being electrocuted.
"Hold it steady!" The Super Soldier should…

A second chain wrapped around its legs, locking it in place. This chain doesn't have an electric effect but it does have weight suppression that bounds the captured target!
After the chain was wrapped, the third Super Soldier charged forward equipped with Compressed-Force Gauntlet—a weapon that concentrated kinetic energy into a single devastating strike. Of course, it was another Reputation Store item.
He cocked his fist back.
BOOM!
The Super Soldier's punch landed accurately on the creature's sternum and it sent shockwaves that shook its internal organs!
The monster bellowed, struggling against the chains—but the Super Soldiers continued to work together and had it locked down.
After a few monts, the creature was completely suppressed.
At this ti, Shane finally spoke.
"Stop… That should be good enough. You might kill it if you continue…" Shane said as he was worried that the creature would die from the pressure coming from the three Super Soldiers.
As soon as Shane gave his command, the Super Soldiers exchanged quick glances but didn't question him. They imdiately lightened the suppression as they waited for instructions.
For now, they just bound its hands, and feet, and covered its mouth.
"Alright… Let's send it to the new prison we made." Shane said.
"Are you sure about it? Don't you want to check its loot?" Diana asked. She was following behind Shane just now.
"I don't think I'll get sothing great from him. Anyway, I need him alive for now. He's a perfect test subject." Shane said.
Of course, the last part was almost a whisper and no one should've heard it aside from Diana.
Soon, the soldiers dragged the struggling beast toward the underground containnt sector—a specially reinforced chamber designed for dangerous biological anomalies or Zombies.
Shane watched as the creature thrashed, snarled, and roared against its bindings, but there was no escaping now.
Shane exhaled deeply as he saw the creature move like that. It was quite unnatural for the Zombies he had dealt with before.
Sothing about this mutation wasn't right. It seed as if the transformation wasn't completed yet.
'Is it because of you?' Shane thought as he looked at the distance where a small hill filled with trees was located.
He was considering whether he should go outside to greet the Vampire Lord but suddenly, his handheld transceiver started buzzing. These transceivers were, of course, bought from the rchants and they had enough to provide for thirty people, enough for various officials in his shelter.
Anyway, Lysandra's voice ca through.
"Shane the scouting of the Dreadnight Fortress has been completed."
As soon as he heard this, Shane smiled.
"Great… Let's prepare an expedition."
