The Jumper Zombies pounced at them too fast! As soon as Shane warned everyone, the Zombies were already in action!
Harper used his Pickaxe to stop the Zombie, while Leo used his Forging Hamr and slamd the Zombie away!
However, the Walker Zombies were already on their way to them, so they couldn't finish off the Jumper Zombies, who were pushed away!
On the other hand, Shane wanted to shoot the Zombies since he had plenty of bullets to spare, but because the two Scavengers were panicking due to their lack of weapons, Shane had difficulty aiming even with his Firearm Mastery. Bang! Bang! Bang!
Their frantic movents clouded Shane's line of sight, and despite his mastery over firearms, his shots went astray. A few of them missed, and the others couldn't kill the zombies since shooting their bodies, or anything other than their brains would not stop them at all.
In those critical monts, the Walker and Jumper Zombies closed in, their grotesque forms a blur of motion aid at Shane.
He had to focus on saving himself.
However, in that brief mont when his attention left the two Scavengers, the inevitable happened. Jenkins and Marcus, overwheld by fear and without the ans to defend themselves, fell victim to the gnashing teeth of the undead. Their screams were brief, and their fates were sealed by the infectious bite of the zombies!
Now, it was down to Shane, Harper, and Leo.
'Tsk… I got too confident that there are no zombies here…' Shane couldn't help but bla himself. After all, with his Perception and A.I. Assistant, he thought that there were no zombies inside his territory anymore. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The Zombies were undetectable until they opened the door as if they had been in a state of slumber all this ti. Bang! Bang! Bang! Shane then shot the zombies that were eating the two Scavengers. He even used the Ice Effect to ensure that they would quickly stop what they were doing to the corpses of the two.
"Sir Shane… These Walker Zombies feel tougher than the ones we're killing outside." Harper couldn't help but comnt.
Now that his Pickaxe is an Exceptional Rank, he thought that it would be a lot easier for him to kill the Walker Zombies.
However, to his surprise, the ones inside this secret chamber were tougher and faster.
In the end, they could only conclude that not all Walker Zombies are the sa!
Unfortunately, Shane didn't notice their difference since his stats were already quite high. Furthermore, with his weapons, he wouldn't notice their difference since, no matter what, they were still low-tier Zombies. They would still die from his revolver and axe!
'Careful!' Shane reminded as the downed Jumper Zombies had already stood up, ready to pounce.
Back-to-back, the three n ford a triangle in defiance against the encroaching zombies. Shane decided to stop shooting since he realized that it had damaged so of the books within the secret chamber! He could not continue damaging the place! They had to fight in close combat!

Harper's Pickaxe danced through the air, cleaving through the rotten flesh and bone of the nearest Walker Zombie… On the other hand, Leo's hamr crushed skulls with each swing, his strength never wavering. As expected of a blacksmith! Wielding the hamr was too easy for him! As for Shane, he switched from his revolver to his axe and started slicing through the zombies! It doesn't matter where he hits them, as they would surely get split apart by his weapon!
The battle raged, the clash between the zombies and humans played out in the dim light of the chamber. The floor beca slick with the dark blood of the undead, and the air was soon filled with the stench of death. Nonetheless, the trio stood strong, uninjured throughout the battle.

As the last of the Walker and Jumper Zombies fell, a heavy silence descended. Harper, and Leo, panting from exertion as they surveyed the carnage. Shane, on the other hand, remained focused. He wasn't too tired, but all his attacks used the Special Effects of his Axe. The battle just now cost him more than 200 Spirit Points, which will be recovered as long as he takes so rest.
As he was thinking of starting his loot, his Perception caught signs of enemies… Then, it was followed by Cloud.
[ Zombies Detected. ] Shane didn't even have to ask as he realized who the enemies were this ti. From the bodies of Jenkins and Marcus, a grotesque transformation unfolded! The two Scavengers, who were bitten and infected, rose again as daunting zombies. Their eyes glowed with a malevolent light, and their bodies expanded and distorted into hulking monstrosities. Their skin, once human, now bore the paleness of death, stretched over bulging muscles. Their jaws, unhinged and filled with razor-sharp teeth, dripped with a vile, putrid saliva!
"Oh, no…" Shane muttered, as he realized that a Boss-Like Zombie had appeared in front of him! There were even two of them!
These new abominations, Jenkins and Marcus reborn as zombies, exuded a nacing aura! The stench of decay that emanated from them was suffocating…
They were clearly different from the previous Survivor Zombies that he encountered before!
Just what kind of virus did those Walker and Jumper Zombies have?! How could they turn other people to beco such a terrifying zombie?!
Nonetheless, they had no ti to question how they got into this!
Shane, Harper, and Leo readied themselves once more.
The transford Jenkins, now a monstrous zombie, lunged at Shane with a speed that belied his new, grotesque form. 'How—'
Shane, caught off-guard by the sudden burst of agility from the once-human scavenger, couldn't raise his axe in ti to defend himself. Bang!
With a thunderous clash, Zombie Jenkins' powerful blow landed squarely on Shane's body, sending him hurtling through the air and crashing into the church wall with such force that it crumbled upon impact, throwing Shane out into the open.
"Shane!" Leo's voice echoed with shock, but he had little ti to worry as Zombie Marcus descended upon them. The creature's movents were erratic and savage, leaving Leo and Harper barely any room to maneuver. 'This one is intelligent! No—Both of them aren't just acting on their instincts! This is dangerous!' Just from the brief encounter, Leo could already tell that these zombies are on a different level!
Bang! Bang!
Luckily, Zombie Marcus wasn't as fast as Zombie Jenkins. Perhaps it was because Marcus was naturally fatty; the transformation that he made was in a rounder shape than Zombie Jenkins's.
Thanks to that, they weren't too helpless against this Zombie! Harper and Leo worked together! At this ti, they realized that their upgraded clothes and equipnt were indeed very useful!
They couldn't help but thank Shane for not being too stingy as he upgraded all their equipnt without hesitation.
The two of them fought back desperately, Leo swinging his hamr in wide arcs while Harper jabbed with his Pickaxe, each strike aid with deadly intent.

Their Hamr and Pickaxe were hitting the Zombie, but they could barely penetrate its skin and muscles!
They weren't hitting him too deeply! Because of that, Zombie Marcus continued attacking them!
This Zombie may be slow and had weaker attacks, but it probably had the most durable Zombie they've ever t! Not even the Spitter Zombie could contest with this Zombie!

Outside, Shane struggled to his feet, pain flaring across his abdon. It was painful, but he couldn't afford to stay down; his companions were still inside, fighting for their lives. Gritting his teeth, Shane drew his two other revolvers, the cold tal a familiar weight in his hands. He didn't hesitate, unleashing the Ice and Fire Effects imbued within the weapons. A chilling frost and searing fla erupted from the barrels, it was a swirling dance of contrasting energies that sought their targets with incredible precision!
This was all thanks to his maxed Firearm Mastery!
Inside the church, as the battle raged on, Leo and Harper were holding their own, but the strength of Zombie Marcus was overwhelming. Crack!
Crack!
The Pickaxe and Forging Hamr were soon crashed because of Zombie's sheer power.
Just like that, their weapons had been destroyed!
"Ahhh!"
"This is it, huh!"
The two of them were in disarray as they also noticed that Zombie Jenkins had decided to participate.
Just as Marcus bore down on them, a blast of icy wind and a wave of heat washed over the creature, halting its advance. Bang! Bang!
It took quite so ti, but Shane had returned to the fray, his revolvers whistling with elental fury!
Shane was glad that he had upgraded all the Revolvers he had taken from the group of intruders so ti ago.
Zombie Jenkins, sensing the shift in the battle, turned its attention back to Shane, but it was too late. Shane's aim was accurate, and his shots tore through the air, each bullet an indication of frostbite and combustion. Bang! Bang! Bang!
Shane decided not to waste any of his bullets! Although it couldn't imdiately kill the Zombies because of their high resistance, he didn't mind it at all!
He would empty his magazine even if it were just ant to weaken them!
The dual forces of ice and fire ravaged the monstrous forms of Jenkins and Marcus; their undead flesh was slowly unable to withstand the onslaught!
