Chapter 799: Insanity
“It’s expensive, but it’s worth it…” Lancelot muttered.
Lesley thought for a mont, as she knew that Lancelot’s plan to beco the number one had already started…
“The Alliance leaders already look to you as their strongest support. Once these investnts take root, the other Clans have no choice but to acknowledge the Overlord Clan and beco part of the Alliance.” Lesley muttered.
They both believed that once their influence expanded, their current Alliance would beco larger and would have more power to contend even against the number 1 Clan.
Lancelot’s grin widened as he felt that Shane’s Warden Units would no longer be a huge problem for him…
“It’s only a matter of ti before we take the number one spot. Shane may have the Eclipse Revenant Clan and his damned talent, but reputation alone won’t hold him up forever. Once we surpass him in influence and resources, the Survivors will know who the real Overlord is.”
‘Still, I should find a way to reproduce those Warden Units.’ Lancelot thought as he knew how valuable it was.
Nonetheless, he lifted his mug high, and Lesley clinked her goblet against it.
Around them, their closest subordinates joined the toast…
Apparently, this tavern wasn’t filled with random custors. All the Survivors present here were allied with the Overlord Clan.
“To the Overlord Clan!”
Just like that, the tavern rang with their cheer…
While others drank to forget their hardships, Lancelot, Lesley, and the rest of their mbers drank to celebrate their victories…

In the anti, Shane was already having the ti of his life inside the Secret Shop…
Thanks to the arrival of the other mbers of the Clan, Shane knew that they would be able to purchase all 10 items being sold by the mysterious shopkeeper.
The Void Shard Fragnt for 35,000 Points.
The Silent Requiem Bell for 41,500 Points.
The Essence of Duality for 70,000 Points.
The deck of cards or Gambler’s Fate for 42,000 Points.
The Absolute Sealing Scroll for 37,000 Points.
The Stylish Looter Pocketwatch for 95,000 Points
The Truthseer’s Lenses for 38,000 Points.
The Gale Monarch’s Fan for 75,000 Points…
They were all precious items that Shane knew would be important. So of them may not be useful for him, but his Clan had a lot of people who would be able to use them to their full potential.
Nonetheless, the last two items were the ones truly special…
They were the book and the pouch of stones.
[ Codex of Forgotten Technology and History: Contains so of the forbidden knowledge lost to history. Reading grants access to new skills, rituals, or blueprints. But every page read consus fragnts of the reader’s sanity. ]
It was a dangerous item that could result in insanity, and it was expensive, too!
Furthermore, the buyout price was actually 100,000 Points. It wasn’t sothing that Shane would really want to obtain.
Finally, the Pouch of Stones actually contained so sort of gems, faintly glowing in different colors.
[ Spiritual Pebbles: Each stone can store any Survivor Skill, functioning as single-use talismans. Originally created to support weak Survivors. ]
“Hmm… Why is this cheaper than I thought?” Shane mused as he saw the 40,000 Price Tag.
Considering how Shane could see more than 20 pebbles inside the pouch, he thought that it would be more expensive.
After all, the fact that it could store any Survivor Skills could make it one of the best life-saving treasures available.
‘Maybe I can get Sandra’s Speed Flight?’ Shane imdiately thought…
Well, who wouldn’t want to fly?
Currently, Shane has a Title called the Sky’s Strongest…
This title allowed him to fly for 60 seconds only.
He obtained it after eliminating the final Zombie Lord in the last Zombie Wave. It ans that he had to be really mindful of his elevation, so when the tir runs out, he wouldn’t die from his drop.
Shane smiled at this thought before turning to the items once again. “So… the cheapest costs thirty-five thousand, and the most expensive is a hundred thousand.
Shane’s gaze lingered on the assortnt before him.
He already bought the pocketwatch a few monts ago before the others arrived.
It was expensive as it was sold for 95,000 Points.
But the ability it carried, helping his looting efficiency, was sothing only a fool would overlook.
If he could consistently reap more resources, it wouldn’t just affect him but also the Clan under his control. Their growth would multiply tenfold.
Next was the Void Shard Fragnt.
Shane didn’t even hesitate…
At 35,000 Points, it was the cheapest of the lot, but probably the most important for the future.
Finally, he picked up the pouch of Spiritual Pebbles. He shook it lightly as he couldn’t help but feel srized by these stones.
“Forty thousand is practically charity for this thing…” Shane grinned. The possibilities ran wild in his mind…
Sandra’s Speed Flight, Raze’s Dragon Control, or even Max’s Juggernaught Skills could be copied by these stones!
A pouch like this would never be seen elsewhere.
“Three secured.” Shane exhaled as he felt the weight lift off his shoulders. He imdiately turned to the people behind him…
They have already found the Secret Shop and were just waiting for Shane.
The response was instant.
Diana was first to speak…
“I’m taking the Gale Monarch’s Fan. I think I will give it to soone who truly needs it.”
Raze gently nodded as she felt thankful that Diana didn’t choose what she wanted.
“The bell’s mine.”
The Silent Requiem Bell’s silence zone would be brutal if partnered with Roan, the young dragon!
They would be burned to a crisp if they had no skills to defend against her dragon!
Lysandra finally got her chance and swiftly spoke.
“Is it okay if I grab the Essence of Duality. And the Sealing Scroll?”
“No problem…”
“I’m good with that…”
Shane and the others replied.
Finally, it was Asad’s turn…
“Are you all sure you don’t want the codex? I’ll be taking it, alright?”
Asad said as if he didn’t care about the possibility of insanity once he read that book!
