Seeing that his Beast Arm was the only one that was level zero, he used up his five Skill Points and pushed it to Level 5 as well.

After all of this, Kai finally stepped into Victor’s workshop...

The familiar scent of oil and scorched alloy filled the air. He planned to test the new, modified Dragoons that Victor had just made.

However, as soon as he got closer, there was already a crowd gathering outside to check Victor’s creations.

i and Wallace were already mounted on one of the newly repaired Dragoons. The simple jet‑ski–like fra hovered a few feet above the ground...

Indeed, outside, in the open yard, two of the modified Dragoons hovered a few feet above the ground.

i sat in the pilot’s seat, gripping the handlebars nervously...

"Ease up! Don’t fight it... let the stabilizers do the work!" Victor reminded.

The vessel wobbled as she tilted too sharply, the stabilizers were fighting to keep her steady.

Hearing Victor’s reminder, she gritted her teeth, adjusting her grip, while the Dragoon swayed left and right before finally leveling out.

On another Dragoon, Wallace was testing his own skills.

His approach was more aggressive, pushing the craft forward in sudden bursts. The machine rocked, nearly scraping the workshop wall, before he corrected the angle.

He laughed nervously, muttering, "Alright... not as easy as it looks."

Kai wryly smiled, watching them both. Their movents were clumsy, but the machines were responsive.

Victor’s modifications had worked... the Dragoons were stable, just waiting for their riders to learn the rhythm.

Minutes passed, and both i and Wallace began to improve. i’s Dragoon glided smoothly across the yard, banking in wide curves. Wallace also managed a sharp turn without losing control... As expected, his confidence grew with each maneuver.

Victor grinned beside Kai. "See? They’ll get the hang of it. The systems are solid."

Kai nodded. "Not bad. It’s rough at first, but once you trust the stabilizers, I guess it feels natural."

Finally, it was his turn. He climbed into the third Dragoon, settling into the seat.

The handlebars felt firm and the controls felt responsive. With a tilt forward, the craft surged into the air, pressing him down with sudden force.

’Whoa~’

The wind whipped against his face as he climbed higher.

Kai banked left, then right, testing the stabilizers.

Whoosh~ Whoosh~

The Dragoon obeyed flawlessly, cutting through the air seamlessly.

He skimd low over the compound, then pulled up into a hover above the walls.

"Responsive," Kai muttered, pushing the craft harder. He dove, pulled into tight turns, and stopped abruptly mid‑air.

The Dragoon handled every maneuver smoothly, Victor’s rework proving its worth.

’This is an incredible work... I have to reward him again.’

Victor was a talent he couldn’t lose. If he needed to bribe him with so of the Superior Gift Packs, he wouldn’t mind it at all.

Minutes passed, and Kai felt the rhythm of the machine...

"I guess having a higher level helped easily learn how to pilot it." Kai muttered.

Soon, he landed smoothly and dismounted with a satisfied look on his face.

"How was it?" Victor asked.

"It’s stable. More than I expected. With three of these, we can move fast..."

Victor nodded. "So? What’s the plan?"

He already had an answer in his mind, but he wanted to hear it from Kai.

Kai smiled as he looked toward the horizon.

"It’s ti. We’ll use the Dragoons to reach Caron. The Human City might hold the tech we need... and the answers we’ve been waiting for."

i and Wallace exchanged excited glances...

The decision was made. The Codebreakers were no longer bound to three shelters... Their path to Caron had just opened.

***

Just like that, Kai decided to bring a total of five people with him to Caron.

Although the invitation from Cornelio Aries was for Kai alone, the man had also ntioned that Level 30 Survivors are all welco in the city...

With that in mind, he chose i, Claire, Alfie, Farrah, and Ralph...

Kai would ride with i, Claire with Alfie, and Ralph with Farrah on the last modified Dragoon.

Of course, Kai knew that leaving for Caron couldn’t be rushed. Even with three Dragoons ready, the shelters had to be secured first.

The twenty‑two newcors who had arrived days earlier were still settling in.

Kai had already decided they couldn’t all remain in one place. If they were scattered across the three shelters, even if so had hidden intentions, they wouldn’t be able to cause significant trouble.

"Divide them," Kai ordered during the eting with the other important mbers of his shelter.

"Seven to Shelter‑28, eight to Freedom Shelter, and the rest here in New Haven‑45. That way, we balance the risk and strengthen each base."

Before leaving, Kai assigned the managers...

Victor and Wallace were assigned to oversee New Haven‑45. Their chanical expertise and leadership would keep the heart of the Codebreakers strong.

Sera, alongside his Sentinel Atom, would take charge of Haven‑28. Silas was already producing modified Sentinels there, and Sera’s cautious nature made him the right choice to guard against any sabotage.

Althea and Aurora were tasked with Freedom Shelter. The crops there had finally begun to flourish, and protecting the food supply was critical.

"That field is our lifeline," Kai reminded them. "Guard it as if it were the walls themselves."

With the preparations underway, Kai turned his attention to the newcors.

Among them, three stood out... Henry, Nadia, and Enzo.

He knew they were also Foreign Survivors, transmigrated into this world, each with skills and talents that could prove invaluable.

’I guess it’s ti to complete that Guild Mission...’

Kai found Henry near the training yard, his rifle slung across his back. The man’s posture was disciplined, and his eyes swept across every corner as though he expected an ambush at any mont.

He looked interesting, but Kai was intrigued upon seeing the man’s eyes...

"Is that an Ocular Replacent Implant?" Kai asked.

Henry froze, stunned by the question.
