It was still the ten-minute break between classes.
In high school, restrooms were usually located at the far left end of the hallway after stepping out of a classroom. Gu Mian kept his phone hidden in his pocket and planned to head left as soon as he stepped out of the classroom.
Theoretically, school restrooms in a horror instance should have mirrors.
But as he stepped out, he bumped into soone unexpected—a person, or to be precise, another student.
There were quite a few students in the hallway, with people constantly moving in and out of classrooms.
Bumping into classmates when stepping out of the classroom was quite normal. However, bumping into a cowering, timid student who had a damn pair of handcuffs on was decidedly not.
Moreover, Gu Mian discovered he could access this handcuffed student's player panel.
[Zi Liang]—that was this timid student's player nickna.
Gu Mian had seen plenty in his life. What kind of scene hadn't he witnessed? But starting out with a pair of handcuffs? That was a scene he truly had never encountered...
Zi Liang had obviously realized that the person he bumped into was also a player. His eyes lit up. Although he was a little confused about why this player's nickna was green, now wasn't the ti to dwell on such things.
"Um, this was an accident... C-can you help ?" Zi Liang flinched, trying to hide the handcuffs on his wrists, and asked timidly, his face flushed with embarrassnt.
He was clearly hoping Gu Mian would help him remove the handcuffs. He'd hidden them quite well; if Gu Mian hadn't been so observant, he might have missed the shiny tal on his wrists.
Although Gu Mian was also very curious about what kind of accident led to these handcuffs, he knew this wasn't the ti to discuss such matters.
Gu Mian glanced back at the classroom naplate on the wall. It read, 'Arts Stream, Year Two, Class 3'. Without further ado, he turned to Zi Liang. "Go wait in the restroom first."
Zi Liang was very obedient. Hiding his hands, he ran off towards the restroom; it seed he already knew its location.
Watching his retreating figure, Gu Mian turned around and walked back into the classroom.
Leaning beside his desk was a guitar bag. Of course, he knew this exquisite guitar bag didn't contain a guitar, but rather a helpful tool for cutting handcuffs.
This was an art students' classroom, so Gu Mian's current identity was that of an art student; carrying a guitar wasn't anything strange.
He quickly walked towards his guitar bag and slung it over his shoulder. Seeing this, the student at the desk in front of him asked in confusion, "Huh? We don't have a break until this afternoon. Are you going back to the dormitory now?"
A break this afternoon? Gu Mian had obtained an important piece of information.
He glanced at his deskmate in front. "No, I have sothing to attend to for a mont. I'll be back right away."
With that, he slung his exquisite guitar bag over his shoulder and briskly walked out of the classroom without looking back.
The deskmate in front seed to want to say sothing more, but Gu Mian had vanished in an instant.
Class ti was probably approaching, as the students in the hallway were all heading towards their classrooms.
When Gu Mian reached the restroom, there was hardly anyone left inside.
Perhaps to prevent students from hiding in the restroom to smoke secretly, the stalls in the boys' restroom had no doors.
As Gu Mian entered the restroom, he saw a timid head peek out from the innermost stall. Upon seeing him, the person imdiately scurried over, sowhat excitedly.
This timid head belonged to none other than Zi Liang, the one with the handcuffs.
This Zi Liang, despite looking quite respectable with his glasses and cultured deanor, was acting furtively, like a thief plotting sothing.
Zi Liang looked at the guitar bag Gu Mian was carrying. "Is that a guitar?"
Gu Mian shook his head slightly. Sure enough, the restroom in a Mysterious Dungeon had a mirror. Upon entering, to his left was a row of washbasins, and above them, a large, wide mirror. Gu Mian saw his reflection in the mirror also shake its head through his peripheral vision.
He put the guitar bag down, just about to take out its contents.
Just then, a bell suddenly rang. Based on Gu Mian's many years of school experience, this should be the warning bell.
Hearing the bell, Gu Mian suddenly rembered the phone in his pocket. As he thought this, he pulled out his phone. He hadn't exited the ga; the phone screen still showed the ga interface.
When Zi Liang, who was nearby, saw this ga screen, his expression beca a little unnatural. He opened his mouth as if to say sothing, but then he noticed sothing amiss with the screen. "Huh?" Gu Mian had noticed it too.
The little figure in the ga moved in sync with the person playing it in reality. Since Gu Mian had moved to the restroom, the ga screen naturally switched to the restroom as well. The screen now showed a top-down view of the restroom.
Although restrooms are common locations for supernatural events, nothing had happened in this one yet; it was the number of people that had changed.
Back in the crowded classroom, the ga screen had only shown one little figure—the one representing Gu Mian.
But now, an additional little figure had appeared on the screen.
It stood opposite Gu Mian's little figure, and the two figures looked identical. However, since the little figures had nas above their heads, Gu Mian could still distinguish which one was the character he had registered.
On the screen, one little figure was Gu Mian's registered character, [Gu Gu]. The na above the other little figure was [Liang'er].
One didn't even need to think to know this was definitely the character na Zi Liang had registered. But this na was truly... hard to describe. The two little figures were positioned a slight distance apart.
Zi Liang, still handcuffed, looked at Gu Mian's phone screen with a peculiar expression. "I thought this was a single-player ga. How can we players even et?" It seed he had also downloaded this ga; his phone was probably in his pocket.
Gu Mian noticed that the little figure representing Zi Liang in the ga wasn't handcuffed, and his own little figure wasn't carrying a guitar. It seed this supernatural ga couldn't recognize items held by people in reality.
At that mont, a line of text suddenly appeared at the bottom of the screen:
[The warning bell has already rung. You should return to class now.]
Imdiately after, the two little figures also began to converse.
[Gu Gu: Why are you here too?]
[Liang'er: Sa as you, here to take care of so business.]
These two little figures seed to know each other. Regardless of why these two newly registered characters knew each other, their previous two lines of dialogue were truly bizarre.
What business could one possibly have in a restroom? Eating shit?
At this point, Zi Liang had looked up, his gaze fixed on the vibrant green 'Doctor' title next to Gu Mian's nickna, "Speaking of which, Doctor, can you open these handcuffs for ?"
Gu Mian glanced at the slender chain on Zi Liang's handcuffs. "Shouldn't be a problem." Then, Zi Liang saw the Doctor before him pull sothing not very exquisite out of that elegant guitar bag...
After the sound of sothing like a small motor, the handcuffs on Zi Liang's hands snapped and fell apart.
It was clear that this handcuffed, dumbfounded student badly wanted to curse, sothing like 'Holy crap!', but he swallowed the words back down.
Gu Mian glanced at the two tal rings still on Zi Liang's wrists. "Do you want these sawed off too? I guarantee I won't hurt you."
Zi Liang hurriedly waved his hands. "No, no, that's fine."
Gu Mian glanced at his phone screen again. The two little figures remained motionless, probably because he and Zi Liang hadn't moved either. Seeing the little figures were still, Gu Mian looked up at Zi Liang. "It was crowded and chaotic earlier, so I didn't ask. But now, can you explain what's going on with these handcuffs?"
"It's rather embarrassing," Zi Liang scratched his head, looking awkward. "When this ga started, I was in the middle of being handcuffed by the Anti-Vice Squad…"
