The murmuring from the people below was too faint for Gu Mian to hear, but he saw Xie Bi'an nodding in response to the male player.
Then, with a dazed air about them, the group walked into the Passing Inn.
"It seems they ford a team after the event ended," Chu Changge said, appearing behind Gu Mian out of nowhere and looking down through the window. "They're not familiar with each other and all seem imrsed in grief. It's likely their forr teammates died, and the remaining scattered survivors then gathered together."
"You know..." Gu Mian turned to look at Chu Changge. "You've told such bizarre things, like coming from a Low-Dinsional World. Why not also describe what Xie Bi'an looks like? Wrapped up so tightly, could he possibly look like ?"
Chu Changge definitely knew Xie Bi'an from the past.
However, Chu Changge had always believed Xie Bi'an was dead.
After a mont of silence, Chu Changge said, "I know what he used to look like. He was completely different from you."
From Gu Mian's many years of watching TV dramas, characters wrapped this tightly usually reveal their faces at the climax, leading to a plot twist.
Gu Mian could even make up a plot on the spot. A masked villain commits evil deeds from the first episode to the last. Only when the hero kills him and unmasks him is it revealed that this man was the father he had been desperately searching for.
With a few minor refinents—add a beautiful female confidante who dies on the eve of the grand finale, a few kind elders murdered by the protagonist's father, and a best friend who ends up in a vegetative state—it would be a complete lodrama.
