Fatty didn’t seem too keen to discuss this issue with Gu Mian.
The two walked in silence toward the entrance of the mine.
However, after they had walked a certain distance, they both heard a sound coming from the darkness ahead.
The mine was very dark.

They heard the sound of footsteps coming from ahead.

Fatty hadn’t expected Gu Mian to be so direct. He paused for a mont before asking, "Then what’s the point of turning back?"
There was only one way out from here, but that exit had already been blocked by the army entering the mine. At this point, Gu Mian turned back toward the depths of the mine again.
"Turning back and going deeper is better than confronting a potentially machine-gun-wielding army," Gu Mian said. "Of course, if you could conjure up a rocket launcher for right now, I’d turn around and blast them to bits."
He continued, "There’s a rail in the middle of this mine tunnel, so there must be so kind of cart for transporting coal on it. We haven’t seen any sign of a cart from the mine entrance to here, so perhaps it’s deeper in the mine."
"Mining carts should be pretty sturdy, bullet-resistant," Gu Mian thought. He had never seen a mining cart; this was just his guess.
Fatty seed to grasp it. "Doctor, do you an for us to drive out?"
"It’s better than appearing naked before the army." Gu Mian brushed off his now slightly dirty white coat.
Although they weren’t exactly naked now, they weren’t much better off.
I wonder if items like "armor" will appear in the future.
The two kept talking as they quickly headed deeper into the mine.

But this Doctor showed no despair and even put on airs like a ga strear.
He was truly a headache-inducing character.
At this point, Mr. Slaughter’s face darkened a bit. He gripped the corner of the table lightly. "Don’t worry, everyone. There has been an anomaly in the forbidden area. The monsters within can now be eliminated."
"Our Order Guard is on the way to clean them up. We have received your complaints and have already sent a squad toward the mine. They will provide a response that will satisfy all of you."
Mr. Slaughter continued, "You will get to see the scenes you want to see."
As he spoke, he turned his head back to the screen behind him, where only Gu Mian and Fatty could be seen.
Fatty was closely following Gu Mian. They were moving fast, but the sounds from behind were getting closer.
At this point, Fatty began to jog. "Doctor, why does it feel like the group behind us is getting closer? Am I overthinking it?"
"No," Gu Mian replied, also moving forward quickly. "You’re not overthinking it. I heard it too."
The two of them strode toward the depths of the mine, already past the location where Xiao En’s face had been.
The sounds from behind drew steadily closer.
In the mine, anything beyond five ters was shrouded in darkness, and Fatty glanced back frequently.
He had a feeling that it wouldn’t be long before he could see the shadows of the army behind them.
