His high kill frequency meant the new rules hardly affected him. He basically wasn’t triggering coordinate exposure anymore.
One hour quickly passed.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Chen Mo had killed four more targets, bringing his total kill count to 25. Meanwhile, the number of remaining participants in the instance had drastically decreased within that hour. Only a little over seven hundred remained, a reduction of three-quarters.
However, it was clear that Heavenly Dao was not satisfied with this. As the next hour began, new rules were implemented.
[The Heavenly Path’s Hint: Four hours have passed in the instance, with eight hours remaining. It is currently the top of the hour, so everyone’s coordinates will be exposed soon. Please be prepared. This coordinate exposure will last for 100 seconds!]
[Supplies in all areas of the current instance have been refreshed. The quantity is double what it was before. Participants are encouraged to explore more; even areas previously visited may now contain new supplies!]
[The Heavenly Path’s Hint: One-third of the event time has passed, but the number of participants is still above two-thirds. If no new kills occur within the next minute, everyone’s coordinates will remain exposed until a new kill is made. At that point, everyone’s coordinates will be hidden again for 1 minute!]
[Furthermore, everyone’s location will change randomly once per minute. The new locations will ensure that at least two people are within 1,000 meters of each other. This rule will remain in effect until the number of surviving participants drops to two-thirds or fewer of the original total!]
"Oh great, here it es again!"
Chen Mo was rendered speechless by this new rule. If I’d targeted someone and then got teleported halfway there, wouldn’t that whole trip be a waste? He felt that the instance’s teleportation restrictions should apply to the Heavenly Dao’s rules too. That way, no one would get randomly moved around. But clearly, that was impossible.
A minute passed. The intense fighting of the previous hour had significantly thinned the ranks, lowering the chances of encounters. Consequently, no kills occurred in the first minute.

The moment The Heavenly Path’s Hint sounded, Chen Mo felt his vision blur, and then he was in a pletely new place.
He checked his map. Damn! I’ve been teleported from near the central area all the way to the edge of the map!
He felt that Heavenly Dao was infuriating. Didn’t it initially tell everyone to try and move towards the center? It’s just because the fighting wasn’t intense enough that it’s resorting to these tricks.
Relatively speaking, Chen Mo was lucky with this teleportation; he was only moved a long distance away. Many others, however, were teleported right next to opponents. Soon, the sounds of various kills began to echo.
The slaughter continued for a full ten minutes before a minute of quiet finally fell. But as soon as that minute of quiet began, the random position change rule activated once more.
This time, Chen Mo was still fortunate; he wasn’t teleported near anyone else. About a hundred others were similarly lucky. As for the unlucky ones, they were already engaged in bat.
After these two waves, the number of survivors in the instance had plummeted. Soon, their numbers dropped below six hundred. Finally, the new rules stopped pestering them. Everyone could finally focus on collecting items and developing their strength in peace.
When the fifth hour arrived, no new rules appeared. It was like the calm before the storm. The encroaching poison mechanic was set to begin in the next hour. During this hour, Heavenly Dao refrained from any further mischief. Everyone focused on peacefully collecting items, preparing for the major battle to e.
By now, Chen Mo had collected two to three hundred items in his bag. A few of them look like they could be useful. For example, there was an ability that could silence everyone nearby, or another that could grant the user an Invincible State. The Invincible Scroll lasted only five seconds, but the bound Invincible orb was infinitely usable. Each activation lasted five seconds, with a cooldown of just one minute. However, the orb’s cooldown was not affected by any cooldown reduction effects. Nevertheless, it was a vital life-saving item.
Chen Mo had found many items: some restricted resurrection, others limited immortality. Yet, he hadn’t found a single item that could counter invincibility. Clearly, invincibility held a very high priority. Being named ’Invincible,’ it naturally had to possess the status it deserved. According to the Invincible orb’s description, one would be unharmed even within the ’rule-based poison’ while invincibility was active. Truly invincible!
Offensively, there were also some excellent items, such as one that converted all damage dealt into true damage. I don’t need that myself, of course, but it’s still a massive boon for anyone else in the instance who finds it. There was also the rather insidious Swap-Blood Secret Treasure. It allowed one to exchange their current Health with an enemy’s. This meant you could reduce your own Health to, say, 1 point, then swap with an enemy to kill them instantly. Additionally, there was the Crit Pearl. If bound, it guaranteed a critical hit. I already have the God-Grade Critical Strike Aura, so this item is useless to me. But for other professionals, it’s an incredibly powerful offensive tool!
