The Bloodline Evolution Pool was located in the Dawn Forest, near the original Wood Elf Plaza. However, as the population of the Wood Elves grew, the initially chosen location beca unsuitable for further developnt. Thus, the Wood Elves selected a different spot on the other side of the Dawn Forest to build their city. The original site was not abandoned, though. After so minor modifications, it was converted into the current location of the Bloodline Evolution Pool.
When Zhang Yi first laid eyes on the Bloodline Evolution Pool, he was in disbelief. Before seeing it, he had always imagined it to be the size of a public bathhouse. But when he saw it with his own eyes, he discovered that the Bloodline Evolution Pool was actually only ten square ters in size.
Isn’t this a little too small?
This was Zhang Yi’s genuine thought when he first saw the Bloodline Evolution Pool. In truth, he did not know that if he had not used a Four-Stars Enhancent Card to upgrade the Four-Stars Bloodline Evolution Pool to Five-Stars, the Four-Stars version would have been even smaller.
Once his surprise faded, Zhang Yi’s expression returned to normal. After all, what mattered to him was not the size of the Bloodline Evolution Pool, but its effect. As long as the effect was good enough, nothing else mattered.
One hundred ritorious Elf Soldiers, hand-picked from the Elf Corps, stood in rows of ten beside the Bloodline Evolution Pool. Their eyes were brimming with longing. They already knew why they had been brought here; they were the elves who had earned enough rit in the early stages of the war to be granted the opportunity to enter the Bloodline Evolution Pool, receive a bloodline baptism, and enhance their lineage.
When they saw that the floor and walls of the Bloodline Evolution Pool were intricately engraved with a dense network of interconnected Magic Runes, the Elf Warriors all thought of how good the great God of Nature was to them, willing to provide sothing so precious. Even the Magic Runes engraved on their own weapons could not compare to one ten-thousandth of the runes on this Bloodline Evolution Pool.
On the other side of the Bloodline Evolution Pool stood Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William, along with forty-eight elves selected by him and his adjutant. These forty-eight elves included non-commissioned officers from various key positions within the Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps, as well as the elites of the cavalry corps. They too gazed at the Bloodline Evolution Pool with longing in their eyes, but it was tempered with restraint. After all, they all knew about the prior conversation between the great God of Nature and their commander, William.

When Zhang Yi’s Divine Projection appeared in the sky above the Bloodline Evolution Pool, all eyes turned to him. In the next mont, he spoke the words that every elf present longed to hear.
"Now, activate the Bloodline Evolution Pool!"
With the command from the great God of Nature, the few Elf Mages and Elf Alchemists below, who had received the order, imdiately sprang into action. They first covered the bottom of the Bloodline Evolution Pool with the various Magic Potions required for its activation. Once the bottom was covered, they brought over the Magma Crystals, pouring them and the Magic Power-rich Magic Spring Water into the pool together.
As the Magma Crystals and Magic Power-rich Magic Spring Water filled the pool, the entire Bloodline Evolution Pool began to boil in the next instant.
BOOM!
A fiery red light erupted from the bottom of the pool. This was the reaction caused by the Magma Crystals lting as they encountered the cold Magic Spring Water. The scalding water began to boil, drawing the Magic Potions at the bottom of the Bloodline Evolution Pool into the reaction.
As the dense layer of Magic Potions covering the pool’s floor was washed over by the surging Magic Power, the pool’s water first turned a molten, crimson red. Then, under the harmonizing effect of the many Magic Runes at the bottom of the Bloodline Evolution Pool, it gradually transford into a crystalline erald green. Ultimately, it beca a steaming pool of visibly scalding water that gave off the fresh fragrance of herbs.
However, no elf would fear a little scalding water when faced with an opportunity to enhance their own bloodline.
Since the potency of the effect was unknown, on Zhang Yi’s command, the ten Elf Warriors in the front row took off their armor, leaving only their thin undergarnts. As the ten warriors took their first steps into the Bloodline Evolution Pool, the once-tranquil water reacted instantly. Like dropping sodium into water, the liquid of the Bloodline Evolution Pool, as if it had found its target, swiftly entered the elves’ bodies through their pores.
"Argh!" one elf grunted, unable to bear the pain.
Muscles tensed and veins bulged, but their eyes flashed with wild joy, because they could feel the impurities in their bloodlines being incinerated as they evolved.
The pain lasted for more than ten minutes before gradually subsiding. When the pain ended, these elves from the first batch knew the effect had worn off. Staying in the Bloodline Evolution Pool any longer would not further enhance their bloodline, so they promptly climbed out.
Compared to before they entered, the elves who now erged had more upright postures, their skin faintly glowed with an erald halo, and a gleam of light shone from the depths of their pupils. The most significant change was that their auras had grown stronger, and the Fighting Qi within their bodies had increased dramatically.
"Haha, I’ve finally broken through the Fifth-Level bottleneck that’s been holding back and reached the Sixth Level!" an Elf Warrior who had just erged couldn’t help but cry out excitedly, having discovered that the bottleneck that had plagued him for so long was finally broken.
But in the next mont, he fell silent. After all, before coming here, all of them had been warned by Elf Corps Commander Feiyana. Even if they achieved a breakthrough after entering the Bloodline Evolution Pool, they were not to shout about it in excitent. Doing so would only arouse jealousy in the hearts of the elves who did not break through, which would be detrintal to the unity of the corps.
Although the elf quickly fell silent, his words had already been imprinted on the minds of the others. Their anticipation did not diminish in the slightest. More importantly, the effect of the Bloodline Evolution Pool had been proven; it was in no way inferior to the previous opportunity for bloodline evolution bestowed upon them by the great God of Nature. The eyes of the elves waiting in the back glead, full of expectation for their turn.
Half the afternoon passed as batch after batch of elves went through the Bloodline Evolution Pool. Just as the Elf Alchemists in charge of the pool had predicted, its potency ran out after the eightieth elf’s turn. A second batch of Magic Potions was then added to the pool.
Ultimately, after all 100 elves from the Elf Corps had undergone their second bloodline baptism, there were still enough spots left for ten mbers of the Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps to receive the bloodline baptism.
Looking at this group of Elf Warriors and Elf Griffin Cavalry, whose strength had greatly increased, Zhang Yi felt a surge of happiness. The next mont, he opened William’s personal interface to have a look.
