The Moon Elf at the very front of the charge, ironically, was moving so fast that she dodged the disaster. However, the Moon Elf Cavalry following close behind her were not so lucky. One after another, they were blasted to the ground by shells from the Magic Cannons.
When the first wave of cannon fire ended, the eyes of the Moon Elf at the front were bloodshot. All the comrades who had charged with her were now dead! From her lips, only a constant refrain could be heard. "Charge! Charge!"
Then, the second round of cannon fire ca right after. This ti, she did not escape her fate. The Magic Cannons’ first combat test was a great success.
anwhile, on another front, the Magic Giant Crossbows had also succeeded, embedding their massive arrows into the gates of the opposing Moon Elf Main City. Elf Corps Commander Feiyana knew that the ti for the final, decisive battle had finally arrived.
Seeing that the Magic Cannons and Magic Giant Crossbows had begun their attack, the assault from the Magic Stone-Throwing Cannons also blotted out the sky, raining down upon the Moon Elves’ massive Magic Defense Array.
As Elf Prince Sukaman stood on the walls of the Moon Elf Main City, he watched the Moon Elf Cavalry he had dispatched get nearly annihilated before they could even reach the enemy’s Magic Equipnt. With bloodshot eyes, he asked, "Why? Why is this happening? Why is the new Magic Equipnt of the enemy Elf Corps so powerful?"
No one could answer the prince’s questions. Even the Guard Army Commander, who had been ntally prepared for a tough fight, was utterly shocked by the imnse power of this newly revealed Magic Equipnt.
But an even more difficult problem was yet to co. Standing on the wall, the Guard Army Commander saw the enemy’s Magic Equipnt shoot enormous arrows toward the city gate, and he knew they were in trouble. Sure enough, when the sound of explosions rang out from below the city wall, the resulting tremors were so strong that even he could feel them from his position on the wall. The wooden city gate below didn’t stand a chance.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
It wasn’t just one explosion, but a continuous series of them.
The specially made city gate already had several cracks blasted into it. After being repeatedly struck by the Magic Giant Crossbows, it was now covered in a spiderweb of fractures. When a special armor-piercing arrow struck the weakened wooden gate once more, it exploded violently, shattering into countless pieces. Still carrying the remainder of its force, the arrow shot backward along with the splintered wood. The Moon Elf Guard Army, arrayed in formation behind the wall, was instantly cut down in droves.
A cloud of sparks and dust billowed up. One of the Moon Elf Main City’s greatest defensive points, the city gate, was thus breached.
The wooden gate, carved with Magic Runes and made from special ironwood, lay broken, revealing the panicked Elf Soldiers behind it. The Moon Elf Guard Army below heard the panicked cry of the Defense Army Commander from atop the wall, "Elf Soldiers below, quickly block the gate with sothing! We absolutely cannot let the enemy Elf Corps charge in!"
"The gate is breached!"
Within the Elf Alliance, the mbers of the Elf Corps saw the gate of the opposing Moon Elf Main City break under their assault and let out heaven-shaking cheers.
At that sa mont, Elf Mage Captain Joy Pala inford the Elf Corps Commander that the Forbidden Curse Spell was ready. Compared to the last ti with the smaller formation of Elf Mages, this ti, the Elf Mage Corps—now with nearly double the numbers—was finally able to perform a true Forbidden Curse Spell through Combined Spellcasting.
Upon hearing the order of approval from Elf Corps Commander Feiyana, all Fire and Wood Attribute Magic Power within a 30-kiloter radius was drawn in by the two Forbidden Curse Spells and utterly consud in the next mont.
In the opposing Moon Elf Main City, the more powerful Elf Mages felt it most clearly, especially the Wood Elf and Fire Elf Mages. When the Magic Power of these two attributes was depleted within a 30-kiloter radius, they felt like fish out of water, suffocating in this new environnt. Elf Mages, long accustod to a Magic Power-rich environnt, would experience "withdrawal symptoms" upon entering a magicless one. Their entire bodies would be wracked with pain, convulsing uncontrollably.
And so, with just that one move, a portion of the mages from the Royal Elf Mage Corps on the city walls—the most powerful ones—was paralyzed. This left only a group of lower-level Guard Army Elf Mages, whose "withdrawal symptoms" were slightly milder, struggling to hold on.
The Moon Elves in the Moon Elf Main City were, for the most part, enemies. This was not like the last battle at the Neutral Elf City, where most of the Elves were potential converts. What’s more, Zhang Yi had promised Lin Aoxue that he would give her most of the Moon Elves and Dark Elves in the Moon Elf Main City. They’re not my own Clan, so I don’t feel bad about it. Therefore, when the nearly 2,000-strong Elf Mage Corps went all-out with their Combined Spellcasting to unleash the Forbidden Curse Spells, their power was incomparable to the last one, where they had held back midway and greatly reduced its might.
anwhile, through an Observation Spell cast by her Clan, Lin Aoxue was watching the great battle in real ti. When she saw how Zhang Yi showed no concern for the casualties among the Moon Elves and was still intent on unleashing two massive Forbidden Curse Spells at full power, she couldn’t help but curse, "Damn you, Zhang Yi! They’re not your own Clan, so you don’t feel a thing, is that it? After you drop two Forbidden Curse Spells this massive, how many of the weaker Moon Elves and Dark Elves will even be left in the entire Moon Elf Main City?"
