Bai Pu slightly frowned; the strong reaction of the Xisha Divine Envoy was indeed beyond his expectations.
However, it seed that the Xisha Divine Envoy was not pretending, which ant that the relationship between the Spirit Realm Will and the Divine Envoy was not as harmonious as Bai Pu had previously thought.
Was it, in so sense, oppositional?
The Xisha Divine Envoy said, "Gangxin, my master’s title, ’Purity,’ is a great and unblemished existence. As my master’s Divine Envoy, I disdain to lie. Disgracing my master’s na would be beneath us!"
"Alright." Bai Pu agreed.
Seeing Bai Pu finally convinced, the Xisha Divine Envoy breathed a sigh of relief, and her incarnation of white light dissipated without a trace.
In the original spot, only a black sphere covered in spikes hung suspended.
Bai Pu stepped forward to touch the black sphere, and a reminder from the Spirit Realm Will ca:
[You have obtained a Spirit Realm Wonder: Seed of Suffering.]
[Seed of Suffering: An anchor item to the Substrate Plane: Original Sin World. The remaining usage ti of this item is 26 hours and 33 minutes, and it can carry up to (2) people.]
[Usage thod: Hold it tightly and irrigate the seed with your own blood.]
Bai Pu put away the Seed of Suffering.
As the Seed of Suffering was stored in the Storage Space, the residual Divine Power left by the Xisha Divine Envoy in the space channel dispersed without a trace. Bai Pu returned to the real world, that is, the exit of the underground passage of the stadium.
Stepping out of the underground passage, he encountered the Blood Spider head-on.
The Blood Spider was carrying a lunchbox, and upon seeing Bai Pu, there was a hint of surprise on her face, along with a hint of unease, as she quietly hid the lunchbox behind her curvy figure.
"You... finished your seclusion?"
"Mm, I probably won’t be going into seclusion again for a while."
Bai Pu pondered for a mont and said, "I’ve also received a summons notification."
Bai Pu kept this in mind and didn’t ntion the matter of the Divine Envoy.
Because he found that other preparatory voters also kept this unspoken agreent. Although he didn’t know why, it was more appropriate to remain silent about things he didn’t yet understand.
In fact, the reason was that Bai Pu didn’t accept the Xisha Divine Envoy’s seed and was not yet a preparatory voter. Thus, the Xisha Divine Envoy hadn’t instructed him not to reveal information about the Divine.
If Bai Pu had the seed, he would naturally be bound by the rules and wouldn’t be able to disclose Divine information to those uninford.
"You were summoned too?" The Blood Spider was slightly taken aback, then quietly lifted the corners of her mouth, saying with relief, "That’s good."
"The anchor item I got can take one more person."
Bai Pu found it difficult to articulate, turning his head to look towards the distant school building, and carefully said, "Hmm, I also seem unable to find a suitable teammate... the world is quite dangerous and there’s no guarantee of safety."
The Blood Spider blankly stared at Bai Pu.
Bai Pu brushed past her, leaving behind a sentence: "Only 26 hours of usable ti left. I have to go to Cloud Palace first and then have a good rest. Thank you for these past days."
...
At the Advanced Boundary Land: Cloud Palace, there is an entrance located in the jurisdiction of the Sharp Sword Special Military Base.
Bai Pu paid the admission fee of 5000 Spiritual Points and stepped into the Cloud Palace Border Area.
After a flash of white light, Bai Pu suddenly felt a heavy sense of binding.
This Cloud Palace Border Area had a spiritual particle intensity exceeding 5 points, a bona fide advanced Spirit Realm area! For a mid-level Awakened, arriving here felt like soone used to the plains suddenly finding themselves in the highlands, inevitably feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Bai Pu moved his hands and feet, inhaling deeply twice.
He felt as if he was stepping on sothing soft and cushiony, like treading on thick marshmallows.
The view was a vast, misty expanse, an endless sea of clouds resembling the view from an airplane window at high altitude.
The difference was that Bai Pu was also stepping on these solid clouds, seemingly substantial enough to support his body.
The clouds here were in clusters, supporting sections of floating land.
Ropes hung down from the high clouds.
Suspension bridges were laid between different cloud layers.
On so of the clouds, Bai Pu could see quaint pavilions, venues for trade constructed by the officials transporting materials into the Border Area.
The building materials capable of withstanding advanced Boundary Lands were certainly no ordinary bricks and cent. Most of these pavilions were wooden structures, likely crafted from high-grade demon plant wood painstakingly harvested from the Wilderness Area.
Bai Pu initially thought the entry fee of 5000 Spiritual Points was quite steep, but upon considering the official expenses to build this Border Area and its intrinsic value, the cost no longer seed so regrettable.
Bai Pu stepped into the trading hall and entered the reserved Quiet Chamber room.
With the appointed ti not yet arrived, Bai Pu sat cross-legged, as usual, entering a state of ditation training. He found that ditation training here was more efficient than on Pengliu Island, likely due to the spiritual particle intensity (world strength).
Not long after, there was a knock at the door, and two advanced Awakened individuals entered the room.
One was an interdiary, the A level Special Service Officer Chi Li.
The other Awakened, very brawny, was even half a head taller than Bai Pu! His shoulders were broad, and his clothing seed to be stitched from the bones and pelts of so animal, exuding a primitive wilderness vibe.
Whether this was the true form of his equipnt, or a deliberately manifested style, was unknown.
If it was the latter... uh, Bai Pu quickly dismissed this thought and stood up to greet them.
"Here early, aren’t you?" Chi Li greeted Bai Pu and then turned to the primitive wilderness man, "This is the Gangxin kid I ntioned. Don’t judge him by Level 5; he’s an A-level Special Service Officer from the Special Service Bureau. Gangxin, this is..."
"Dai Sect." The wilderness man’s voice was deep, extending his large, bony hand for a handshake with Bai Pu.
There were no exploratory attempts, rely the basic etiquette.
After the three sat down, Chi Li smiled and said, "Dai Sect is one of the contenders for the ’Power King Title,’ standing atop as one of the foremost Awakened. Had the Spirit Realm War not been launched, delaying the Power King Title battle, he very likely would already be the new Power King."
Bai Pu felt the pressure, seated across from Dai Sect was like a mountain pressing on his chest, making it hard to breathe! Remarkably, the other party wasn’t deliberately releasing any aura targeting him.
Swoosh, a dark red, still pulsating heart appeared floating in front of Bai Pu.
This heart was set in an exhibition state, allowing Bai Pu to see the detailed information.
[Green Scale Demon King’s Heart: Lord Level Material (Dark Gold Quality).]
[Due to your sub-profession: Daoist Alchemist level being too low, you cannot use this material (failure rate is nearly 100%).]
"I’ll get straight to the point."
Dai Sect said, "Chi Li ntioned you are willing to accept my offer. I have one additional request; if you agree, the deal goes through imdiately."
"Elder Dai Sect, please speak."
Dai Sect smiled, "I’ve seen a fair share of Dark Gold Equipnt, but witnessing Golden Equipnt ascend to Dark Gold—that I’ve never seen. Could you let have a glimpse?"
