The purple-robed female mage nad Amber had a bemused look in her eyes, a red collar around her neck shimred briefly, and she raised her arm with the magic staff’s tip gathering chilling ice elents.
Swish! An ice waterfall surged forth.
Alongside, two more ice waterfalls erged, triggered by those controlled purple-robed mages of the Secret Magic Hall.
Laine found himself at the center of the three Frost Torrent attacks.
Facing the attack from three advanced mages of near-controller level at the Secret Magic Hall, Laine did not dare to take it head-on, dodging instinctively as a surge of blood shifted him three to four ters sideways.
The three Frost Torrents carved crossing ravines on the snowy ground.
"I actually dodged it?"
Laine was sowhat baffled. Mage spells, unlike an archer’s arrows, co with trajectory correction. The adjustnt angle increases with the mage’s ditation Specialization Level.
To evade a mage’s spell, one needs instantaneous speed exceeding the mage’s Spirit Lock!
Laine glanced at the trajectory carved by the three Frost Torrents on the ground; to his surprise, they were all straight lines with no angle changes.
"I understand now! The seniors at the Secret Magic Hall haven’t truly surrendered!"
Laine shouted loudly, "They were rely controlled through Ferudo’s despicable ans! The spells they cast lack Spirit Lock, just like dodging arrows, you can evade them!"
With Laine’s shout, Sadogo and others cald significantly, casting acceleration and weight-reducing spells to dodge the opponents’ magic bombardnt.
Sadogo chuckled coldly, "This gets interesting. Our magic can still hit through Spirit Lock, counterattack!"
Mages of the Lorich Orthodox Camp raised their magic staffs, chanting spells, and cast various offensive magic.
Their attack targets were centered on the traitors, Casano and Swan.
The controlled purple-robed mages of the Secret Magic Hall turned into re background. Their magic lacked Spirit Lock, as long as you dodge, it’s fine—the colorful magic energy seed lively yet was disregarded.
Casano snorted, "These defective experintal subjects still have limited usefulness. Luckily, I have backup ans. Number 14 to 20, Forbidden Magic Barrier!"
Six controlled purple-robed mages at the Secret Magic Hall, led by Amber and Logan, raised their hands.
Invisible magic trajectories sketched in the air, interlinked. A huge transparent do took shape, enveloping a two-kiloter snowy mountain area.
Within the transparent do, all magic ceased to function.
This is one of the Space-type Forbidden Curses: Forbidden Magic Barrier.
Forbidden Curses are terrifying magic that only super mages can release; advanced mages can still manage it through certain ans.
Logan, a Space-type advanced mage, led others in cooperation through a "Magic Array" to perform the Forbidden Magic Barrier.
Laine looked at Casano as if looking at a fool, "Casano, you wouldn’t think the Forbidden Magic Barrier would only affect my side, right?"
Standing behind Laine, Sadogo couldn’t cast spells either, but he smiled, "Casano isn’t clever enough, Laine is Magic and Martial Dual Cultivation! Forbidden Magic Barrier, isn’t this Laine’s domain."
Casano chuckled with complacency, "Laine, I certainly understand the limitations of the Forbidden Magic Barrier. But doing this, I’m effectively canceling all of your spellcasting abilities using these defective experintal subjects (controlled purple-robed mages from the Secret Magic Hall)!."
"Next is the true decisive move!"
A hiss rang out, the ground rumbled, and a gigantic multi-headed snake stamped in.
"Nine-headed Python!"
"This is Ferudo’s life-bound summoned magical beast, has Ferudo arrived?"
Laine felt a rush of dread in his heart.
Despite despising Ferudo, the overwhelming force of the opponent still incited fear in him.
"Ferudo Academy Director has more important matters, only sending his life-bound summoned magical beast. But that’s enough, because..."
Before Casano finished speaking, several figures shot out, racing towards Laine! These figures each had peculiar fish characteristics—so with gills, others with scales, so with long fins rising from their back of the head—varied and bizarre.
Sea Race Awakened had arrived, yet Laine didn’t recognize these Otherworld Travelers.
Obviously, Nine-headed Python was a close-combat magical beast relying on nine heads for biting, while these Otherworld Travelers from Sea Race were adept at lee combat.
Within the Forbidden Magic Barrier, energy couldn’t be harnessed.
Even a martial artist couldn’t perform Fighting Qi Slash or Fighting Qi Martial Skills, only relying on the most basic lee techniques to fight.
That’s sowhat favorable; martial artists have strong Physique Attributes. Comparatively, mages forbidden from casting are lambs awaiting slaughter.
Laine swung the war axe "Holy Dragon’s Jaw," only able to protect one side.
In other directions, Sea Race Otherworld Travelers had already rushed in, various weapons striking at mages from Lorich Orthodox Camp.
Screams rang out one after another.

Nine-headed Python roared in pain, launching a sweeping attack.
Unable to deploy Fighting Qi Dash, Laine was struck by one head, sliding backward several feet.
Nine-headed Python swallowed the severed head, and the cavity where it had been wiggled with flesh, sprouting another pale head, its Fierce Aura undiminished.
Even after activating Celestial God Descent, Laine couldn’t take down Nine-headed Python!
This was reasonable, as Nine-headed Python was the life-bound summoned magical beast of the top-level Lord Ferudo—the 10-level Lord, its greatest talent lay in its flesh, enduring in battles.
With Nine-headed Python entangling Laine, Sea Race Otherworld Travelers couldn’t take long to massacre the mages from Lorich Orthodox Camp. When the Forbidden Magic Barrier is lifted, Casano and others spellcasting assaulting Laine would be effortless.
