"Oh?" Cliff's brow furrowed slightly, suspicion creeping into his eyes. "What flaws could prevent even the Empress from healing you?"
"My sea of consciousness has been manipulated by a special power. If triggered, it could explode at any mont. I wouldn't mind dying, but if it affects the Empress..."
"Oh? What power could possibly have such an effect?"
Cliff's skepticism deepened as he shook his head and turned his gaze toward Tan Shuo and Li Shaoqiang.
The two n felt a chill run down their spines, as if they were being watched by sothing terrifying, and their hearts raced.
Cliff lingered on them for a mont before shaking his head and shifting his attention back to Fang Heng.
Li Shaoqiang initially breathed a sigh of relief but then felt a surge of irritation.

Cliff once again looked at Fang Heng, "Since you lack the qualifications to inherit the Empress's soul, why disturb her peace by entering the mausoleum?"
"High Priest, we were unaware that the Empress's will had fallen into slumber. We ca here only to seek clues about her disappearance."
