The captain of the Glory Knights, Argyle, leaned against the wall, cold sweat dripping continuously down his face.

Upon closer inspection, black tendrils of flesh had begun to grow and spread from the wound.
"No need to try anymore," Argyle said, his lips turning pale as he gritted his teeth, enduring the excruciating pain in his shoulder. He gestured to stop the priests. "Treat them instead."

They were demonic seeds!
And not just one.
With the power of a demonic seed, they could easily destroy the Mist Temple.
Yet, they were blending in with the Shadow Alliance's group.
They must have a bigger plan!
Argyle clenched his teeth, enduring the agonizing pain in his shoulder.
He needed to send this ssage to the Holy Realm as soon as possible!
"My lord," two Holy Court guards approached with a report. "We've checked, and the exits outside are all occupied by the Shadow Alliance. We haven't seen any traces of the demonic seeds, but they must be hiding among the group. They're trying to trap us here."
Everyone turned to look at Argyle.
Argyle knew that their team was gravely injured from fighting the demonic seeds. Trying to run outside would an certain death, but staying here...
The sheltering cavern had been constructed for the trial, and it contained powerful holy energy. The demonic seeds outside might hesitate to break through.
Staying here was safe for now.
