For the Licker group, without a commander, giving vague instructions to clear nests could only handle D-level insect nests.
To tackle C-level insect nests, either dozens of Lickers would need to be deployed, or the commander himself would have to take charge.
In order to go offline for full automated grinding, Fang Heng had to sacrifice so efficiency by dividing the Lickers into more than ten groups to farm separately.
The results were decent.
After all, grinding is not as effective as manual control.
Fang Heng thought about returning to the ship’s mainfra to check if there were more items available for exchange with his level 3 honor points.
While continuing to grind D-level insect nests and complete transport missions, he also promoted his insect nest clearing services to the Federation.
Soon, Fang Heng returned to the mainfra area of the ship, quickly browsing his personal exchange column.
The available items were still pitifully few.
Compared to the first-tier sequence, there were just a few more single-soldier combat equipnt.
They were relatively expensive, and their effects were average.
For him, they were practically useless.
As for the Black Fog crystal core he really needed, it was nowhere to be found.
It seed he would have to continue grinding.
Fang Heng opened the mission list again, planning to take on so material transport missions as well.
"Eh?"
Fang Heng suddenly noticed sothing and opened the optional mission commission panel.
There were new missions?
Not just one, but several hundred pages of missions!
After carefully reading the mission descriptions, Fang Heng frowned slightly.
After all, the mission objectives were not located in this world.
It seed that after his honor level had increased, a networking function had been unlocked, and so tasks from other worlds could now be found.
But it was useless.
He couldn’t travel to other worlds to complete missions.
Fang Heng thought for a mont and filtered the mission locations to his own world.
Soon, the mission panel returned to what it was like the previous day.
Hmm?
It seed like there was one more?
[Special mission - Construction of the local prism mutant worm purification network.]
Mission requirents: Please complete the local prism mutant worm purification network construction in the fixed area of the target star system.
Mission rewards: 2.5 million 2.5 million (additional) 1.5 million (travel subsidy).
Special description: For construction materials and manuals, please find the Yuan Starship and look for Collete (Guard, A) to receive them. This mission has a high difficulty, and it is recomnded to form a team. A 500,000 contribution point deposit is required in advance. If the mission fails, the deposit and honor points will be penalized (e.g., if the construction items are damaged during the prism purification process, the player must compensate at the original price).
Mission remaining ti: 6 days 18 hours.
Hmm?
Wow, this mission...
The rewards total 6.5 million mission contribution points?
Upon closer inspection, the 2.5 million points are from the spawn faction’s task commission. Completing it would grant corresponding experience points for the faction, while the additional reward and travel subsidy points belong to the task publisher, the Federation. These can only provide contribution points, not honor experience points.
Further inspecting the mission description.
Wow.
Commander Colleter?
Was he the person responsible for the materials storage warehouse?
So, the additional points were from the Federation?
Fang Heng looked down and checked his current contribution points.
The 500,000 deposit was enough.
Looking at the task difficulty on paper, it didn’t seem too high; it was just a construction task. Should he take it?
Not in a hurry.
Fang Heng carefully reviewed the additional materials and task information.
He could handle it!
Fang Heng quickly made a judgnt.
During the prism construction process, there was a high chance of mutant worm creature harassnt.
However, the construction location itself was not within the insect nest’s domain.
Without the creep, the strength of the insect swarm would be greatly weakened.
In addition, Fang Heng had already confird that he t the pre-requisite conditions for building the prism, and his zombie clones could assist with the construction.
Overall, the mission difficulty was controllable.
Take it!
Fang Heng stopped thinking further and directly accepted the mission.
[Hint: The player has accepted the mission - Construction of the local prism mutant worm purification network. The 500,000 contribution points have been locked (will be unlocked upon completion). Please find Collete (Guard, A) to receive the materials needed for the prism construction.]
Fang Heng closed the ga mainfra and walked towards the warehouse section at the back.
As usual, the number of guards in the ship was startlingly low.
When Collete noticed Fang Heng entering the warehouse area, his heart skipped a beat, and for so reason, he had a bad premonition.
No way?
It must be a misunderstanding.
Fang Heng was probably just here to accept so transport missions.
It wasn’t bad. It could relieve a large portion of the logistical pressure.
Soon, Fang Heng spoke with a soldier and was led by him to Collete.
Collete took the lead and said, "Mr. Fang Heng, thank you for your help. The ship’s energy reserves are now completely sufficient. If there’s another chance, we will certainly consider working with you again."
"No need to wait for next ti. I’m here to cooperate this ti."
"Huh?"
Collete was a bit confused and asked, "I haven’t received any notice from my superiors. May I ask what kind of cooperation you’re referring to?"
"Construction of the local prism mutant worm purification network. The mission prompt told to co to you for coordination."
"Ah?"
Collete was completely stunned.
The prism construction task was supposed to be handled by the Federation itself.
However, the frontline insect swarm had encountered a major crisis last night, and the situation had beco very problematic. The Federation’s military departnt couldn’t spare the manpower to execute the construction mission.
Out of desperation, the Federation had posted the task on the spawn network, hoping that allied factions with spawn factions would help.
A large portion of the spawn faction’s contribution points reserves had been consud for this.
The construction task was actually a team-based mission, and the Federation had set a hidden threshold.
At least a small team with an interstellar spaceship had to be able to accept the mission, right? How else could they complete it?
But they never expected Fang Heng to be on their ship.
And even more surprising, Fang Heng had the 500,000 points deposit.
And now...
He actually...
Had the guts to directly accept the mission?
Was he sure he could complete it?
He couldn’t have accepted the mission without even understanding what it was about, right?
"This..."
Collete was montarily confused, not knowing how to explain to Fang Heng what this mission ant or how to convince him to cancel the mission.
After all, once the mission was canceled, Fang Heng would directly lose the 500,000 deposit.
"Collete."
"Huh? What?"
"The materials for constructing the prism, how much longer will it take to prepare? I noticed the mission has a ti limit, so..."
"Okay."
Collete, who had experienced many storms, took a deep breath, quickly cald himself, and began to think of a solution. "Please follow ."
The two of them were led by the soldier into the depths of the rear hold, to a certain warehouse.
