Hostile creatures?
Everyone’s expression changed slightly.
It had been more than half a month since they entered this world, and they hadn’t seen even half a native creature. That in itself was unusual.
Fang Heng’s eyes also showed a heavy expression as he said, "Let’s go check it out."
The group moved through the underground passage and reached the surface area.
At this ti, the entire surface, composed of anti-gravity concrete blocks, was already covered and protected by a visible energy barrier.

It’s confird that the other side is an advanced life form, at least capable of transmitting external information."
Collete brought the military personnel over to join up with Fang Heng.
Hearing Li Zixuan’s words, Collete imdiately ordered the base to broadcast human language to try and communicate with the external life form.
However, the life form didn’t seem to understand human language. After several rounds of incomprehensible noise broadcasts, it beca agitated and began zooming erratically around the energy barrier at high speed.
Vionne looked up at the black sphere rapidly flying outside the defensive barrier and quietly said, "Looks like things are not looking good."
Fang Heng stared intently at the sphere in the sky.
He didn’t sense any blood aura fluctuation from the black sphere.
Vionne turned and said, "Extract the information and imdiately send the audio data back to headquarters for analysis and decoding!"
"Yes! Understood!"
After circling quickly for a mont, the black sphere retreated so distance and launched a black short-frequency light beam at the energy barrier!
So it was a machine!
The black light beams exploded on impact with the outer defensive barrier, which instantly activated to full power mode, consuming reserve energy to enhance its defensive capabilities.
Federation soldiers imdiately raised their energy weapons to counterattack.
"Whoosh! Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!"
However, the black sphere, floating mid-air, was small and highly agile, using its altitude advantage to dart unpredictably through the sky.
All of the soldiers’ light beam attacks were dodged.
The black sphere managed to both dodge and counterattack at the sa ti, continuously launching short-frequency black light beams at the outer barrier.
Fortunately, there weren’t many of the orbs.
The current intensity of attack wasn’t enough to break through the periter barrier.
"Stop."
After a round of ammunition was exhausted, the soldiers all lowered their weapons.
Li Zixuan observed the dodging patterns of the black sphere and frowned, saying, "Their dodges are minimal, and every ti they dodge at the last second—it must be so kind of energy detection device. The enemy can predict the attack trajectory and perform precise evasions."
Fang Heng raised his hand toward the sky.

The black sphere exploded on contact.

Collete explained while quickly reading through the translated noise ssage, then handed it to Fang Heng.
"The noise just now was a warning from the Cangbird. They believe this planet is one of their resource reserves, and our mining activities have violated their interests."
Arkley scoffed and said, "Tch. Just because they say it’s theirs, it is? Where’s the proof? I say the resource point belongs to us."
"What we encountered just now was a reconnaissance unit of the Cangbird. Their formal troops are likely on the way."
Collete looked at Vionne and said, "With our current defense capability, we probably won’t be able to hold them off."
"The Cangbird chanical Legion is only one tier below the Black Fog in the spawn’s power ratings—equal in threat level to the Seed of Ouroboros."
"Headquarters is already aware of the attack and should be dispatching a ship to assist in our evacuation."
Vionne, having suppressed his anger this whole ti, now welcod the attack from the Cangbird as a positive turn of events—it gave them the upper hand.
Vionne looked at Fang Heng and said, "Once the ship arrives, we’ll evacuate imdiately. Fang Heng, have your people prepare quickly and also send all the ores you’ve gathered back to headquarters."
Vionne already had a plan in mind, putting on a look like he had everything under control.
Once the ores and materials were loaded onto the ship, wouldn’t the Western District Federation Council have the final say over them?
After all that hard mining work, Fang Heng would still have to hand everything over obediently in the end.
Seeing Fang Heng lower his head in silence, wearing a heavy expression, Vionne felt even more satisfied inside.

Right now, all he was thinking about was how to quickly finish building the ship. He wasn’t even considering ores or those minor details.
He waved his hand and said, "There’s not much ore left. No need for all that hassle... Just follow your evacuation plans. Don’t worry about ."
