Other alien species also gradually realized what was happening.

Good grief.

They had allowed humans to join the battlefield to probe their capabilities.

But this guy? He went straight to farming cocoons?

None of the allied species present said anything out loud, but they were all perfectly aware that each Seed of Ouroboros cocoon could be exchanged for a considerable amount of contribution points in the spawns system.

Fang Heng had joined the battle for only a brief mont, yet he had already acquired a large number of Seed of Ouroboros cocoons.

Originally, those cocoons were to be split among the various races participating in the main battlefield.

Now, they had all been taken by Fang Heng alone.

And the problem was that this test had been authorized by the Shadow Clan. In this situation, they couldn’t really say much.

"Buzz..."

After a short while, the light of the Star Eye gathering again high in the sky began to blossom. Only then did Fang Heng, still feeling a bit unsatisfied, pull back from within its attack range.

"Boom!!!"

The purple light once again descended, enveloping a wide area ahead, including an SSS-level insect nest.

Purify!

Under the effect of the powerful beam weapon’s purification, a massive number of creep and mutant worm units were reduced to ash.

Even the clumped Seeds of Ouroboros lted into a pool of red sli under the impact of the light beam.

Whoosh!!!

As the beam faded, before the other races could see the battlefield, Fang Heng once again turned into a shadow and was the first to dash in from the side of the field!

"God’s Punishnt!"

"Boom!"

A thunderbolt struck down, blasting a writhing mass of dark red sli on the ground into charred remains. Fang Heng raised his hand and absorbed the Seed of Ouroboros cocoon into his palm, then turned and lunged toward another mass of sli.

What the hell?

Only then did the other alien squads on the battlefield react. They hurriedly joined in the fight, using various thods to target the Seeds of Ouroboros that were attempting to revive.

The damaged Seeds of Ouroboros, still under the lingering purification effect of the Star Eye, had already suffered severe losses to their HP. They were only hanging on due to their special abilities.

They were imdiately divided up by the various allied forces rushing into the battlefield.

The Crocodile Clan looked a bit awkward.

After all, they were the ones who had invited Fang Heng to join the battle.

Who would’ve thought Fang Heng would be so powerful?

"Sir, this..."

The captain of the Shadow Clan’s ship glanced over the battlefield and said coldly, "Continue advancing."

"Yes, sir!"

Thanks to Fang Heng’s prowess, the threat from the Seed of Ouroboros polyr was neutralized. The fleet resud its approach toward the central SSS-level cocoon.

"Chi, chi chi..."

The massive SSS-level cocoon, having just suffered heavy damage from the Star Eye, was continuously swelling and contracting. From beneath its dark brown chitin layer, foul-slling black liquid kept oozing out.

The alliance fleet of the Shadow Clan gradually moved closer to the cocoon, until they entered attack range.

"Shoo! Shoo-shoo-shoo!!!"

Nurous focused energy beams shot out from the fleet’s ships, concentrating their firepower on the central SSS-level cocoon.

Fang Heng looked toward the cocoon. Under the barrage of beam weapons, its overall HP was only dropping at a very slow pace.

"Regroup!!!"

The flagship issued a command for retreat.

All combat squads around the battlefield began withdrawing quickly toward their respective ships.

Fang Heng, although still eager to keep grinding for a while longer, saw that all the other alien forces on the frontlines were retreating. Not wanting to stir up trouble just yet, he also retreated to the flagship.

"Thanks for your hard work."

When Fang Heng returned to the ship, for so reason, the other allied aliens all seed to breathe a collective sigh of relief.

If they had let Fang Heng continue like that, he might’ve cleaned out all the Ouroboros cocoons by himself.

They had no choice but to eat that loss this ti. But next ti? No way they’d let Fang Heng back into the battle.

The Crocodile Clan’s captain said, "Allies, the cocoon’s outer defenses are extrely strong. Even the Star Eye seems unable to break through it in the short term."

Everyone nodded silently.

After two rounds of Star Eye bombardnt, the Seed of Ouroboros’ insect nest still had a hefty HP pool.

"It seems we’ll need more ti to break through the outer defenses."

"It’ll take so ti..."

"No need to rush. We just need to slowly wear down the insect nest’s strength..."

As the races discussed, Fang Heng fixed his gaze on the Seed of Ouroboros under concentrated beam attack not far away. A thought crossed his mind.

He sensed that a force was rapidly building up within the insect nest.

The enemies they had encountered earlier had all been broken cocoons.

Their strength was relatively low.

But this ti was different.

From what he could sense of the Seed of Ouroboros, this ti the SSS-level insect nest housed a complete ’cultivator’.

The cultivator was likely badly wounded and currently in a hibernation state.

It was being rapidly awakened.

Fang Heng said, "I don’t think that’s the case."

Everyone looked at him.

Fang Heng’s earlier performance had earned their respect.

The Crocodile Clan’s captain asked, "Fang Heng, what do you an?"

"The Seed of Ouroboros in the SSS-level insect nest was originally in a dormant state. But after our recent attacks, it’s been gradually waking up and quickly regaining its strength."

Fang Heng stared at the insect nest and said quietly, "Its earlier defensive behavior was just a delay tactic. Once it fully recovers its strength, it will go on the offensive."

There was a brief silence among the group.

The captain of the Red-Eyed Clan snorted and retorted, "Hmph! Ridiculous! As far as I know, humanity has only recently co into contact with the Seeds of Ouroboros, right? When did you all beco such experts?"

"Indeed. The Ouroboros have never shown this kind of behavior before..."

The Shadow Clan raised a hand slightly to stop the arguing, then turned to Fang Heng and asked, "Human, do you have any evidence?"

"No."

Fang Heng shook his head and said, "I just want to say, the Seed of Ouroboros is very strong. The Star Eye is only a support weapon. Don’t let your guard down."

"Gulp, gulp, gulp..."

While the group was still discussing, the SSS-level insect nest suddenly emitted violent ripples. A dense swarm began to surge out from the creep spreading from the nest.

Another wave of counterattack!

Huh?

Zaka suddenly noticed sothing and shouted, "Look!"

The insect nest, rooted to the earth, began to tremble violently.

A crack opened at the top of the nest, and patches of brown flesh on either side peeled back like flower petals.

From the top of the insect nest, a balloon-like brown tumor slowly rose and levitated into the air.

The tumor, like a seed hatched from the insect nest, floated higher, while layers of corruption on its outer surface peeled away like a blooming flower, falling from the sky.

Eh?

Inside that tumor...

The Seed of Ouroboros.

It was humanoid in form.
