"Uh..."

Nasir scratched his head.

So eager, huh...

He figured the guy must have been stuck at this tier for a long ti and, now that he finally found a way to break through, couldn’t wait any longer.

Forget it.

Nasir stopped thinking about it, quietly got up, and left the cultivation room.

As he exited the room and took the elevator downstairs, he happened to bump into Mu Shunan walking toward him.

Nasir raised a hand and greeted, "Yo, what a coincidence?"

"Ah, done guiding the cultivation?"

Mu Shunan spoke casually.

Only he knew it wasn’t a coincidence.

He had been wandering around here several tis already.

He just couldn’t relax without getting a clear answer.

Otherwise, he might have trouble sleeping again tonight.

"Yeah, it’s done. That kid’s got decent talent."

"Just decent?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Nothing." Mu Shunan finally let out a long breath and smiled—sothing he hadn’t done in a while. "Just asking. We’re brothers, after all. Gotta show so concern."

Thank god...

It was probably just that Fang Heng had terrifying potential only in occult studies.

Mu Shunan quietly admitted he’d scared himself for nothing—almost to death.

Nasir sensed sothing was off and stared at Mu Shunan, "You’re acting weird."

"Hey, don’t say that. I got the combat arena recording from yesterday. Want to watch it together?"

"Sure, let’s go."

...

Inside the cultivation room, Fang Heng didn’t even notice when Nasir had left. He spent three full hours redrawing the twelve magic arrays one by one.

The completion rate had increased to 5.2%.

Each of the twelve magic arrays targeted different training directions, and completing a full round brought a significant boost.

For perception-type arrays, the zombie clones probably couldn’t help.

Also, since all the linked magic arrays were large-scale, the zombie clones didn’t have enough open space to set them up for training.

After thinking for a bit, Fang Heng decided to let the zombie clones keep grinding the occult skill in the background, while he personally focused on alchemy.

Pushing both forward at the sa ti wouldn’t slow anything down.

At the current rate, he estimated it would take about a day and a half to max out alchemy.

Not too bad.

With that in mind, Fang Heng stood up and walked out of the room.

"Mr. Fang Heng."

An Qian had been waiting outside. When she saw Fang Heng co out, she stepped forward to greet him.

"There’s a Level 5 arena match tomorrow afternoon. I’ve already registered you and passed the approval."

"Good."

Fang Heng nodded lightly, checked the ti, and said, "I won’t be going back to the villa today. Get a training room to rent. I’ll rest here. Co pick up tomorrow for the match."

"Understood. I’ll arrange it right away."

An Qian admired Fang Heng’s dedication to cultivation.

Since she started working with him, she had never seen him waste a single mont. He was either cultivating or on his way to cultivation.

...

The next afternoon.

Seven Realms Martial Capital’s large arena.

Fang Heng, led by An Qian, entered the backstage lounge.

Compared to the last match, the atmosphere here was noticeably more tense.

All the martial artists inside turned their eyes toward Fang Heng as he walked in, their expressions holding a mix of curiosity and respect.

Elder ng Hong was notorious for his bad temper and strict demands.

And this kid dared show up without arriving two hours early for warm-up?

Fang Heng felt the stares and was montarily confused.

What’s with those looks?

He thought he had arrived early, yet it seed like everyone else was already here—already going over tactics?

ng Hong turned his gaze to Fang Heng, paused for a mont, then said, "You’re Fang Heng?"

"Junior Fang Heng, greets Elder ng."

"Hm." ng Hong showed no emotion and simply said, "Sit. Elder Dilan recomnded you to , said you’re strong. I hope you won’t make regret this decision."

"Thank you, Elder, for the opportunity."

ng Hong ignored him and continued, "This mission is important. Both sides have sent strong fighters. Their team has eight mid-tier martial artists. Three of them are worth special attention—two elental users and one lee expert nad Liao Yun."

At that, ng Hong paused and looked at Fang Heng, asking, "You’re a lee-type martial artist?"

Everyone looked at Fang Heng.

So that was him.

So of the martial artists had heard of Fang Heng before.

Rumor had it he was a newcor.

But in his very first match, he managed a 1-vs-4 win.

Still, that was just a Level 1 arena fight. The experienced fighters here only thought he seed decent at best.

As for Liao Yun, he was a real problem.

Strong and hard to deal with, a mid-tier martial artist with a high win rate. He often went 1-for-3 or even 1-for-4. Rumor had it he would likely advance to high-tier next month.

"Yes."

"You’ll be assigned to face Liao Yun. Are you confident?"

"I am."

Fang Heng didn’t even know who Liao Yun was.

But since the question was asked, he had to be confident.

After the previous night’s battle, he had a rough grasp of the martial artist hierarchy.

He could crush low-tier fighters with ease.

By that logic, mid-tier opponents wouldn’t be easy, but he figured he could still win after so effort.

Again, everyone looked at him.

If Elder ng weren’t here, they’d already be whispering.

No idea what his strength was, but man, what a big mouth.

"Not bad. A martial artist should have that kind of edge." To everyone’s surprise, Elder ng Hong actually praised him, then added, "Then Liao Yun is yours."

"Understood."

Fang Heng replied with a nod and no unnecessary words.

Once the strategy discussion was over, it was about ti. Elder ng Hong led the team to the arena’s waiting area.

Every ti he ca here, the arena was loud and buzzing.

Fang Heng glanced around.

Clearly, the Noel Clan was taking this match more seriously than last ti. They had carefully chosen the team.

With nothing better to do, Fang Heng started remotely controlling his zombie clones again to train occult marks.

He adjusted their hand signs to see if he could boost the training speed.

No luck.

Didn’t seem to help.

The zombie clones’ hand signs were sloppy to begin with, and without a proper flow of ntal strength, it was already a stretch for the ga system to even recognize the training as valid and award completion.

"Match begin."

Fang Heng looked up.

Unnoticed by him, the match had already started.

The Seven Realms Martial Capital Arena was one of the universe’s top battle venues. But from what Fang Heng observed, most elite martial artists here mastered elental skills.

Which made sense.

Elental techniques were extrely effective in real combat, offering both destructive power and solid defense.

Coupled with each race’s special abilities and dinsional levels, the result could be greater than the sum of its parts.
