"Is that so? Thanks then," Fang Heng nodded lightly, then thought for a mont and said, "Take to the library first."

"Alright, this is your Alchemy Society identity card. It has been successfully issued. Please follow ."

The Alchemy Society’s library was built with a significant investnt of resources.

Society mbers were allowed to enter and browse all kinds of information, but borrowing books was not permitted.

In fact, upon reaching the grandmaster academic level, one’s spirit attribute would not be lacking. Most magic arrays, even if not fully understood, could be forcibly morized in a short ti thanks to powerful mory.

There was no need to borrow books.

Fang Heng walked into the library hall and began searching through various shelves for books related to rule-based magic arrays.

He ca to a corner.

Fang Heng reached out and lightly lifted his hand, and a book on the laws of nature from a high shelf fell into his hand.

He opened the book and flipped through it page by page, occasionally nodding frequently.

The runes related to the rules were quickly committed to mory.

Unknowingly, two hours had passed.

Fang Heng closed the book.

A line of ga hint appeared.

[Hint: The player has completed reading the book (first-ti read), the player has gained insight, the player received 1.28 million transcendent-level alchemy skill experience points.]

Right, he rembered that reading books could also increase experience points.

One read providing 1.28 million experience points ant that the book was of high value.

Unfortunately, the entire library housed tens of thousands of books. He couldn’t possibly take them all to farm experience.

Fang Heng thought for a mont and put the book back into the crack between the high shelves.

It was safer to let the zombie clone continue idle leveling in the villa’s basent.

Fang Heng walked around the library once more but didn’t find any books related to alchemy magic arrays concerning the Black Fog. Feeling a bit disappointed, he walked over to the administrator to ask.

"Black Fog Ga?"

The library administrator looked at Fang Heng in surprise, thought for a mont, then pointed to the right side of the library, "Area B, at the end. I rember there are two books on the second floor shelf."

"Thank you."

Following the administrator’s directions, Fang Heng soon found two slightly yellowed handwritten books in a corner of the library.

The Black Fog spreading in a corner of the world.

Locals referred to it as a ga of a certain King of Gods.

Participants were called players, who could obtain great power from the ga.

It had been verified that at least a dozen low-strength races had risen to power rapidly through the Black Fog Ga.

The Seven Realms Martial Capital’s various dominant races held differing views on the Black Fog Ga.

Two major factions, represented by the spawns, strongly opposed the spread of the Black Fog Ga. They believed the Black Fog was a highly dangerous virus that could pose a threat to the entire world and must be eliminated at all costs.

The remaining forces maintained a calr stance. Most believed that the Black Fog’s power had not yet reached the level of danger the spawns claid. Indeed, many lower-tier races had grown powerful thanks to the Black Fog Ga’s strength, but there had been no evidence that its power affected the mind or had any negative effects.

Thus, the Black Fog was not officially classified as harmful.

However, due to its strong infectious nature and potential unknown risks, the Seven Realms Martial Capital once signed an agreent, under pressure from the spawns, to conduct regular investigations into the Black Fog’s power to prevent its spread.

The Seven Realms Martial Capital also maintained similar detection systems to prevent unnoticed invasions by the Black Fog that could lead to irreversible consequences.

The book was written over a hundred years ago. At that ti, most of the discovered Black Fog regions were within the spawn’s territory, and the author suspected that large unexplored regions of the universe still held the Black Fog.

Additionally, it was worth noting that pan-human races seed more susceptible to the Black Fog’s influence.

Fang Heng flipped through the books, quietly pondering.

Both books were clearly written by the sa author, who had a strong interest in the Black Fog and had conducted extensive research. Most of the content docunted explanations of the Black Fog.

After reading through both volus, it seed the Seven Realms Martial Capital didn’t know much about the Black Fog either. They hadn’t yet discovered the ga world created by the Black Fog, only that various races gained powerful strength from it.

Until he turned to the last page of the second book, Fang Heng’s eyes lit up.

A magic array that could influence the Black Fog!

So far, no known powers had been able to completely remove the Black Fog. The author suspected that the Black Fog might be a higher-dinsional form of power, thus making it impossible to directly disperse.

However, during his research, the author obtained a dium-sized magic array capable of gathering and attracting Black Fog within a small area.

Interesting.

Although he hadn’t found a magic array that could completely eliminate the Black Fog, discovering one that could gather it was still valuable.

Better than nothing.

It might prove unexpectedly useful in the future.

Fang Heng attempted to record the magic array.

[Hint: The player has completed reading the book, gained insight, and received 25,000 transcendent-level alchemy skill experience points.]

He shoved the two books back onto the bookshelf and left the library, thinking about how to use the newly found magic array to handle the Black Fog aura.

"Mr. Fang Heng."

An Qian couldn’t enter the library, so she had been waiting at the entrance. Seeing Fang Heng co out, she asked, "Did you find the books you were looking for?"

"Yes, I did," Fang Heng nodded and quickly jotted down a long list of materials on paper. "An Qian, I need so materials to set up a magic array. Prepare them and send them to my villa."

"Alright, I’ll arrange it imdiately."

...

Back at the villa, Fang Heng first checked the basent area.

Thick Black Fog filled the entire seventh basent level.

Fortunately—

After reaching the max level in occult cultivation, the zombie team had stopped cultivating.

By staying still, the zombie clones’ Black Fog aura leaked out at about half the previous rate.

Fang Heng let out a slight breath of relief and began using his newly learned knowledge of rule-based magic arrays to reinforce the sealing array in the basent, preventing any leakage of the Black Fog.

After completing the reinforcent, Fang Heng redesigned the layout and added dozens of nature-elent rule-based magic arrays around the villa to increase the natural energy activity in the entire domain.

It was a massive task. Magic arrays at this level couldn’t be delegated to the zombie clones.

So, not until the afternoon of the third day did Fang Heng finish the entire job without rest.

"Whew!"

Fang Heng stretched and returned to the seventh basent floor.

With the seal strengthened, the basent could now store a higher concentration of Black Fog aura than before.

Fang Heng calculated with his fingers.

Occult had already been raised to grandmaster level through idle leveling during closed-door cultivation.

Next, he needed to absorb natural energy himself to convert it and continue leveling his skill.

At the sa ti, alchemy had also reached the transcendent level.

This part of experience farming could be handed over to the zombie clones.

However, the Black Fog in the basent was still a minefield.

At the current rate, it could probably last another week.
