"An illusion?!"
A thought suddenly flashed through Eugene's mind.
Yes!
It had to be an illusion!
Fake!
Destroy them!
"Whoosh!"
Eugene pushed his sacred domain to its limit, a look of determination flashing in his eyes, and once again charged toward the dense swarm of Gods of the Underworld ahead.
Randy, following a short distance behind Eugene, was completely startled.
Had he gone mad?
Eugene crashed headlong into the crowd of Gods of the Underworld.
"Boom!!"
The divine holy light burst forth like a spark in the night!
The terrifying undead aura around them exploded at the sa ti.
The nearby Gods of the Underworld were almost instantly annihilated in the blossoming holy light.
"Hu!!"
Eugene's figure gradually dimd. He stared fixedly at Fang Heng, who was only separated from him by a black barrier, his lips bitten until they bled.
He had guessed wrong.
It was not an illusion.
They were all real!
That strike had depleted almost half of his holy power, and the energy core in his chest rapidly dimd.
"Heh..."
Fang Heng looked at Eugene from afar, the corner of his mouth curling into a mocking smile.
So that was all.
How many more tis could Eugene unleash such a power-draining move?
Once? Or twice?
The outco had already been decided.
"Chi! Chi! Chi!!"
The black mist surged as the dissipated aura of death rushed back, quickly condensing into small swirling vortices around Eugene.
The Gods of the Underworld revived once more from within the vortices.
"Eugene! Get back!"
Randy shouted from behind him.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!"
The surviving Gods of the Underworld from the explosion's aftermath lunged toward Eugene, teleporting to appear right behind him.
"Death scythe!"
"Boom!!"
Two Gods of the Underworld swung their death scythes, striking fiercely against Eugene's holy barrier, only to be repelled and flung backward by the rebound of holy power.
The next mont, large numbers of resurrected Gods of the Underworld sward toward Eugene and Randy once again.
"Eugene!"
Randy quickly flashed beside Eugene, enlarging the rippling waves of his sacred domain to block the surging Gods of the Underworld from approaching.
Eugene's expression was terrifyingly cold.
As the power provided by the crystal core in his chest was rapidly depleted, he could feel the strength within his body fading fast, weakness spreading through him again.
His holy power weakened sharply, and his attacks on the Gods of the Underworld were losing their effect.
Randy's condition was not much better. His energy consumption was less than Eugene's, but his core's remaining energy was also continuously draining away.
"Bang!"
With another clash, Eugene repelled two Gods of the Underworld but staggered back half a step, his chest heaving.
He stopped, scanning the countless Gods of the Underworld closing in around him.
A terrifying thought erged in his mind.
A trap.
Everything was a trap set by that human!
He had feigned weakness, deliberately taking a hit to lure him into the black mist.
He had never intended to fight them head-on!
He wanted...
To exhaust them to death!
The large alchemy magic array beneath their feet was not only ant to disrupt the God Realm's reverse teleportation, but also to create a perfect killing ground for the Gods of the Underworld!
Would they die here today?
No! Impossible!
A surge of boundless fury rose from the depths of Eugene's heart.
"Human! Co out and face !"
Outside the barrier, Fang Heng heard Eugene's roar of wrath, slowly opened his eyes, and sneered to himself, "Heh, finally figured it out, but it's already too late."
While Eugene and Randy were being drained by the Gods of the Underworld, Fang Heng's ntal strength was rapidly recovering.
Everything was under his control.
Whoosh!
A shadow quickly condensed from behind.
Zane took on human form, levitating behind Fang Heng, gazing at the two trapped mbers of the God Clan within the alchemy magic array, his eyes filled with both admiration and wariness.
"Fang Heng, my friend, you've done quite a job."
Zane had been watching most of the battle from the sidelines. Only after confirming that the two mbers of the God Clan had lost all power to resist did he approach.
D*mn.
This kid, Fang Heng, was getting stronger and stronger. The God Clan was becoming less and less of a threat to him.
Give him a bit more ti, and he probably wouldn't even need external help to kill them next ti.
Fang Heng asked, "How's your side?"
"Hehe, thanks to your sealing jar, those three Soul Binders are suffering plenty. They should be able to last a while longer."
Zane turned to look at Fang Heng and asked, "What? You planning to finish off those three, too?"
"Forget it."
Fang Heng weighed the difference in power between both sides and shook his head lightly.
It had taken him a big move and the alchemy magic array trap just to take down Eugene and Randy.
He couldn't handle the remaining three mbers of the God Clan yet.
And there was no need to.
"I'll leave this to you. I'm heading off first."
"Alright."
...
The real world.
Since the descent of the God Clan, the church forces had regrouped and risen again. The scattered churches across various regions quickly gathered and began reclaiming city temples and Holy Spirit Temples, systematically clearing the creep worm tunnels within the cities.
In the central divine kingdom's temple.
A flash of dark light appeared from the Netherworld teleportation magic array.
A figure materialized at the center of the array.
At once, the surrounding church mbers guarding the magic array all turned their heads, staring in disbelief at the man who appeared at its center—Fang Heng.
What the...!?
The Shadow God?!
How could it be him?!
None of them could have imagined that the one erging from the array would be Fang Heng!
Bishop Weirt's mind buzzed.
Hadn't the God Clan passed the Netherworld to hunt down the Shadow God?
Why had the God Clan not returned, and instead, it was he appearing here?
Could sothing have happened to the God Clan?
Sensing the imnse pressure radiating from Fang Heng, everyone unconsciously stepped back.
"Shoo!"
Fang Heng couldn't be bothered to waste strength on the church mbers. He swiftly transford into a shadow and darted out of the church, disappearing completely into an intact wormhole nearby.
Inside the teleportation hall, the church mbers exchanged glances, all terrified.
The Shadow God had returned?
He looked completely uninjured.
Then what about the God Clan?
Why was there no sign of them?
Could it be...
Bishop Weirt's uneasy premonition grew stronger, but he forced himself to stay calm and said in a deep voice, "Hold your ground! Do not panic. Everything is within the God Clan's plan. We are to stand guard here as instructed."
"Believe in the God Clan!"
"Yes, sir!"
...
Prival forest.
A thick layer of sticky creep covered the entire forest.
The church had been operating in secrecy, and most of their information was limited to their own territories.
They had no idea that the vampires had already taken control of the entire prival forest and had even established a giant alchemy magic array in its center.
Dozens of wormholes gathered around the massive magic array in the middle of the forest.
