A friend is an equal being who helps you in your ti of suffering, and whom you help in theirs.
Kukudar admitted It had never cared for the so-called culture of insignificant beings, let alone studied their knowledge.
But It couldn’t comprehend this culture and way of thinking.
It didn’t even agree with it.
Putting aside the concept of "friends" for a mont...
...the claim that It was evil was sothing Kukudar absolutely refused to accept.
After all, in Its perception, the world was simply a place where the strong preyed on the weak. What was wrong with big fish eating small fish, and small fish eating shrimp?
It was just like how the Human Race kills other animals for food.
’Since I am stronger than them, what’s wrong with eating them?’
It even rembered that when It ate Its own subjects, their eyes were filled with fanaticism and joy.
’Even if a few were unwilling to be eaten, what did that matter?’
’Power is everything.’
’I am stronger than them, bigger than them, mightier than them.’
’So when I am hungry and want to eat, isn’t it perfectly normal to eat them?’
The human perception of evil?
It rejected it completely.
It was even contemptuous of the hypocrisy of the Human Race in this Square World.
For instance, in the Underground City, it was justice when the Human Race killed Demons, but evil when Demons killed humans.
What kind of bullshit was that?
It even felt a strange anger toward the Deities of this world, who tacitly approved of the Human Race slaughtering Demons as a normal way to acquire Power.
Race.
What a load of crap.
In Kukudar’s eyes, there was no difference between Demons and the Human Race.
To a being like It, both humans and Demons were nothing more than the weak.
Since the Human Race could slaughter Demons to obtain happiness and formidable Power...
...then why couldn’t Demons do the sa?
Was their very existence ant only to be a stepping stone for the Human Race’s advancent?
Besides, what exactly was a Demon?
Is a Demon simply sothing not recognized by the Human Race, sothing that slaughters them?
And is a god simply sothing the Human Race believes in, sothing that helps them?
Well, if that was the case, Kukudar was certain.
It would rather be a Demon God!
This world disgusted Kukudar.
Because it reminded It of those detestable "friends" who had betrayed It.
It hated it.
So, naturally, It didn’t mind giving the Human Race of this world a little shock.
And so.
This ti, Kukudar chose not to attack the world directly. Instead, It allowed Its Power to seep out.
And in this world, It infected all the Demons, transforming them into the likeness of Its own "subjects."
Thus, the Square World naturally ushered in a so-called great upheaval.
It just wanted to see if these humans, and even their gods...
...if their self-proclaid justice could triumph over an "evil" god like Itself!
Evidently.
With Kukudar holding back, after all this ti, the humans on the surface—and even their gods—couldn’t even dream of defeating It.
They couldn’t even resist Its corruption.
The Human Race, anwhile, was already on the verge of extinction.
’Justice always triumphs over evil?’
’Is this it?’
Kukudar scoffed.
It even knew that this concept promoted by humans was nothing more than propaganda.
After all, if It was evil and could be defeated, Its ho planet would never have been destroyed by It.
Now, Kukudar was no longer angry.
It had even grown silent.
It watched the deaths of those humans, watched the war on the surface.
Watching the insignificant creatures perish one by one.
Watching the scenes of tragedy and suffering that unfolded as they teetered on the brink of death.
Honestly.
At this mont, It finally seed to understand the weak, just a little.
Justice and evil, even their ideals and perceptions...
...were nothing more than slogans shouted by these weaklings to numb themselves and rally their own kind.
It was all just for the sake of allowing their group to live a life truly free of threats in this cruel world, this world where the strong preyed on the weak.

’It’s all bullshit, just as I thought.’
’So what’s the point of doing all this?’
As Kukudar watched everything unfold in the Square World, It suddenly found it all tasteless.
It even found Itself reminiscing.
’If I hadn’t been so arrogant or conceited back then, if I had actually paid more attention to the living conditions and perceptions of the weak... perhaps I wouldn’t have faced so much betrayal?’
"Kukudar, you have no heart."
"You have always been a beast, from beginning to end. Even though you possess a Power that inspires fear and terror, the wildness of your arrogance and conceit still dominates your every thought."
"A single word that offends you, and you’ll devour even a friend, to say nothing of your subjects. So evil, so chaotic, so impossible to teach or guide."
"For the sake of our world, Kukudar, my friend... considering you did, in a way, ’help’ get to where I am today, I must ask you to leave this world!"
Kukudar recalled its most powerful friend from the past.
The scene of that so-called Master of the World gravely injuring It and banishing It.
It recalled the comical performances that fellow had put on to amuse It when he was weak.
It recalled when he had grown a little stronger and tried to indirectly tell It that Intelligent Creatures shouldn’t be treated as food and toys, only to be cut off by Its displeasure.
It recalled when that fellow beca a so-called Main God, the increasingly indifferent gaze he directed at It, and how he even tried to stop It from feeding on several occasions when It awoke.
