"I wouldn’t call it a cost. Personally, I just hope that Mr. Cheng Hua will rember Giant Technology fondly in the future."

Hasting Cole then added candidly,

"Besides, even if there were a cost, you’ve actually already paid it in advance."

Cheng Hua raised an eyebrow.

Hasting Cole explained, "Let’s put it this way: the marketing value from you becoming a Sinful God has already been credited to our Giant Technology Company."

Cheng Hua was montarily taken aback but quickly broke into a smile.

"So that’s how it is. In that case, I suppose I’ve earned the title of honorary vice president?"

"That’s about the gist of it," Hasting Cole said with a laugh.

——————

「Outer space, near Blue Star.」

Nine Players with secondary authority were currently gathered in the Divine Kingdom of the Player known as Masked Monk.

This represented all the secondary authority slots that the True Ga had made available.

Seven of these Authority Holders were Players from the Chosen Group, and as such, their allegiance was primarily to Lince.

Lince had also entrusted them with managing the affairs of the Star Empire.

As for the other two secondary Authority Holders, one was Masked Monk, who had achieved Ascension to Divinity on Blue Star, and the other was the Player Die Before Pigeon, who had done the sa on Green Saturn.

It was a rare occasion for all nine secondary Authority Holders to be gathered together.

Inside the Divine Kingdom, the nine Players were seated around a circular table.

"I don’t get it. Blue Star is our main base of operations. How could soone’s soul just transmigrate to an alien planet for no reason?"

"If the True Ga hadn’t alerted us, we’d all still be completely in the dark."

"So, Masked Monk, you don’t have any leads? After all, you’re the one who’s been overseeing Blue Star."

The Masked Monk’s expression was one of exasperation.

"You can’t pin this on . Blue Star has a population of over ten billion. Even for a deity, how is it possible to track every single person’s every move?"

"Especially sothing as bizarre as soul transmigration."

"Forget about . The rules of the True Ga cover all of Blue Star, and even it didn’t detect this in advance. How could you expect to know?"

The situation was indeed bizarre, and as the Masked Monk said, he couldn’t be blad.

"There’s definitely sothing strange about this."

"But I’m sure there’s a reason."

"But none of that matters right now."

"The important thing is that the world this kid, Cheng Hua, ended up in also has sothing like a ’ga’."

"And according to the information from the True Ga, the Power behind this product is not to be underestimated."

"Right now, not even the True Ga can get any information about that other world, let alone establish an anchor."

"So, given this unforeseen event, what do you all think we should do?"

The Masked Monk’s expression turned grave.

"What to do?"

"What else can we do? We’ve examined the kid’s brain-dead body and found nothing out of the ordinary."

"We have nothing to go on."

"For now, let’s just stick to close surveillance. Also, have the Human Alliance run a thorough background check on the kid’s social circle."

"Where he’s been, who he’s spoken with, what was said... have the Human Alliance submit a detailed report on all of it, ASAP."

Logical Genius said, then added,

"As you all know, the Star Empire and the Giant Demon Empire are currently preparing a joint operation—a war between civilizations."

"So, as long as nothing happens on Blue Star for now, we’ll have to table this discussion until after the operation."

"As for the Chief, we shouldn’t disturb him unless it’s a major issue."

"I suppose that’s our only choice," Insomnia and Rain said, frowning but nodding in agreent.

"However, just to be on the safe side and to ensure Blue Star’s security, we should probably consider using our authority to station a Main God here as a guardian."

"So, who do you think would be suitable?"

Blue Star’s mortal realm might be blessed by the rules of the True Ga and protected by the Mana Will, but the Star Realm had no such safeguards.

"A Main God? What good would a Main God be?"

"If a relatively strong Ancient Deity were to Descend, a newly-promoted Low Demon World like Blue Star could be instantly obliterated."

"Whatever is capable of blocking the Power of the True Ga is no small threat."

"If you ask , we should have Kukudar co to Blue Star to study for a while."

"It’s a perfect opportunity to let them see the beautiful sights of our Blue Star."

Not the Tea Monarch suggested, with uncharacteristic seriousness.

"Kukudar?"

"That could work. But they’re supposed to be our grand finale for the joint operation with the Giant Demon Empire."

"How about this: when the joint expeditionary force officially sets off, we’ll have them make an appearance and then co to Blue Star for a long-term post. What do you guys think?"

Brother Cheng Takes Off spoke up as well.

"Alright, since no one seems to have any objections, let’s go with that."

"But since we’re on the topic of this war of civilizations, what’s your take on that Middle Demon High-Energy World the Giant Demon Empire discovered?"

Insomnia and Rain asked seriously.

"What’s our take? What else could it be? You all know the scouting reports from the Giant Demons."

"The planet in that world is probably not even half as old as Blue Star."

"It’s a prival New World, one where Ancient Species are likely being born. The danger level is bound to be high!"

"But no matter how high the danger, I refuse to believe that a planet where life has just begun could have an Ancient Deity on par with the Chief or Kukudar," Little Ordinary Person said casually.

"The Star Sea is vast. Anything is possible."

"Especially when it cos to life forms like Deities, let alone Ancient Life. We can’t judge their growth rate by conventional standards."

"Let’s be cautious. We should minimize our losses as much as possible."

Sweet Little Cookie chid in, their voice tinged with pity for the impending war of civilizations.

After all, both the Giant Demon Empire and the Star Empire planned to initiate this war of civilizations by first starting a Mortal War.

According to their agreent,

the Giant Demon Empire would use its own thods to open the Mortal Star Gate to that world.

Then, the allied forces could make their move.

Of course, the Giant Demon Empire would also imdiately provide the coordinates to the Star Empire.

With the coordinates, it would be much more convenient for the Star Empire to open a new Star Road if they chose to.

It was clear that the Giant Demon Empire was showing imnse goodwill in this joint operation.

How could the Star Empire, let alone the Players, possibly refuse such a good deal?

Besides, they were nominally allies of equal standing.

And how could one refuse such a deliberate show of goodwill from an ally?

"Losses? What are you talking about?"

"Starships, drones... we can produce as many of those as we need."

"As for casualties among the citizens of the Star Empire?"

"You can’t wage war without people dying. Little Sweetie, you’re too soft-hearted."

"Don’t forget the plan we agreed on. When bloodshed is necessary, sacrifices must be made."

"Otherwise, what is the value and aning of a mortal’s existence?"

"Are they just supposed to rely on us, the ones holding up the sky, while they live out their days in blissful ignorance?"

"Even I’d want a sweet deal like that."

Not the Tea Monarch scoffed.

"It’s crudely put, but the reasoning is sound. That’s just how it is."

"In any case, let’s see how the war progresses before we decide."

"After all, we still have Kukudar as our trump card. We’re not cold-blooded monsters; we’ll intervene when the ti is right."

"But the principle remains: soldiers fight soldiers, and generals fight generals."

"Let mortals resolve the mortal wars. We only need to deal with the trouble from other Deities."

Brother Cheng Takes Off said casually.

"Alright, this was decided from the start. There’s no use saying anything more."

"It took so effort to get back. I’m going to head ho and see my family."

"What about the rest of you?" Wada Xiwa, who had been quiet, asked.

Nearly three hundred years had passed in the Star Empire, which corresponded to only thirty years on modern-day Blue Star.

As a result, most of the Players who had achieved Ascension to Divinity still had living parents.

In fact, with their Abilities, even if their parents and relatives lacked Extraordinary Talent, they could use the Star Empire’s first-generation Genetic Enhancent Liquid to easily extend their loved ones’ lives to one or two hundred years.

And so, the brief eting quickly ca to an end.

The Authority Holders began to return to their hos in the mortal world. Only they could know the mix of bittersweet feelings—the warmth of reunion juxtaposed with the poignant realization of how much had changed.
